My sister lives in Istanbul but has invested in our old village of origin in Trakya. Where she and her husband (retired now) makes wines with different fruits. The red wines are really amazing whenever I visit I cant get enough of it. It must be the climate similar in Trakya (Thrace). It's a shame the young disappear and work in other countries instead of making something of their excellent fertile land. I'm surprised how close the people are to what I see in our villages in Turkey. These ladies look so much like our village ladies. Olso You can go to the Village 'Valeni' in the Provence of 'Cahul. There Is rural traditional home called 'La Savetuca'. There You Will see how the traditional houses were and try the traditional food You can olso stay the night there and sleep on the traditional bed. I think You may enjoy.
