I find that more than ever, I appreciate an original, artistic, cinematic and bold movie more than anything, even if it doesnt always stick the landing. I go for the experience and getting something different that I spend a lot of time thinking about afterward. I look forward to seeing this

He wrote his movies, directed them, produced them, so there is no chance for a cheap money grabbing sequels to ruin the legacy of these movies. Can’t wait to see what happens when he has a giant Director List of movies as at the end of his career, so far it’s 3 for 3. He’s so brilliant.
I'm a huge Peele fan & NOPE was my #1 anticipated film of the year. This film certainly had a surprise, blockbuster feel to it, all the while being visually striking & the sound mix was incredible. I felt this was his most ambitious of all his films; yet lacked focus more times than needed (ie. chimp?). Still would give an 8/10 for solid direction, creativity, acting & sound mix.
I think if you're black (especially in the U.S & over age 32) the chimp as a token character aspect is not a very odd thing. It's a common trope. Think Different Strokes, and Webster. Or, shows where the butler or maid are black like Benson or Maude. Those roles fed into stereotypes and fueled racism. So, from that perspective, it fits very well.
Jordan peele Has established himself as one of the best that’s why we have a high standard for him I loved this movie when you get to spoilers I will let you know the connection between the opening act and the answers of what it means
I really don't understand Universal's logic for such a scattered release for this movie. We only get it on 17th August and other European countries as well. It's going to be very hard trying to avoid spoilers for this one.
Almost a year late and I have to say this is by far the most underrated film of the last few years! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE can’t wait for peele’s next film

@@shanumutyampeta definitely, Get Out is a top tier horror movie, and I think Us is still better than a lot of horror movies out there, but it’s still not great in my opinion, I think it takes away a lot of suspense with humor, and it works at times, but I think it would’ve been better if it was a a bit more serious at times.
I think the Gordy / Jupe subplot is an intriguing and important part of this great piece of work. Even the ending ties back to it in a symbolic way that Jordan Peele allows the viewer to fill in some of the meaning…

They both involve people trying to control creatures that should not be controlled. In the shoe standing up weird is a metaphor for the other shoe was going to drop which happens when he exploits the creature
A week ago I watched Us, man if I was blown away, I never saw a movie of this genre with so much personality and ideas (in recent years). I'll watch Nope in Bulgaria and in this country it will came out on august, so I'll have to wait a little more. For now, I can only watch Get out and maybe being blown away again.

Nope is one of the greatest science fiction horror movies of all time. It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and themes due to it's story, music, images, astomphere, tension, performance's, ambition, direction, and cinematography. A very intriguing and exciting movie. Well put review. The US comparison is interesting as I really enjoyed the movie, maybe not as much as Get Out, but not a huge downgrade. I can't wait to watch and have to wait till August 19 to see it here in India.

Nope was good but Get Out is still my favourite Jordan Peele movie. Nope and Us are both good for me and I give them a tie. Get Out is 10/10 and Nope and Us is about 7.5/10 or 8/10
So far she has been very calm! May be circumstantial. We got her from a puppy mill so she has been abused. Hopefully we can bring her out of her shell!
Spoiler! This movie is about fame and money and what people are willing to do for it, how far are they willing to go. It's about exploitation, and its about the ones being exploited and what happens when they are not given credit for their accomplishments, respect, and a voice, it's about the horrors that can happen when they pop like a balloon when it becomes to unbearable to continue being taken advantage of. It's about the predators who are on top of us, who take advantage and take the credit for each and every one of your moves, and you cant even look at them in the eyes, and its about standing up to those forces that are just monitoring our every move to control us. Its about winning. Winning the respect and the recognition for that winning shot at success and recognition. Finally their grandfather gets the recognition he deserves in Hollywood as the first man in a moving picture 🤝❤️
We saw this last night at a advanced screening, and everyone I spoke to said the movie was bad. When it ended there was no claps or anything just silence. I thought this would be a good movie and was looking forward to it but it was just not good.
The movie was so bad… maybe it’s because I have a degree in creative writing, but there was no plot and it was just a straight up mess with no conclusion.
I can only imagine what kind of movies we get from this director in the future. What a guy. Mediocre movies because we as a western civilization are so spoon fed with crap entertainment that we think this is good. No its not.
Thank you. Someone with a sane opinion. After get out and us saying this is uhm slightly exaggerrated. But people need it need to compare. Need to stretch out to something. But hey with all the mediocre entertainment there is its easy to stand out apparently.
