I honestly think the new armor system is much better as in the past it was annoying when people would rat the entire game and just find red armor in death boxes nearer to the endgame

@@vicjctanuki7344 No. Just because it's a br doesn't mean we need to have rng as much as possible. There is already plenty of it. Imagine if everything in the game had elemt of rng in it just because it's a br: pick up a stack of ammo - unlucky you picked up one bullet :P Better luck next time!

@@xanira6367people will complain no matter what. There are plenty of dude cry about old rank system too. Respawn released the hidden mmr as a trial, it didnt work, they cant creat a new system yet so we're back to the old one. Simple
"can't equip a digi threat on smgs" - loba literally takes an alternator with a digi threat from the market in the launch trailer
The prowler was also full auto when they were fighting that sea monster in Newcastle's season but that didn't come for awhile. Those trailers aren't at all reflective of gameplay.
@@mikeyplayz8438 well.. I am too lazy to search for that so im gonna trust you on that. But that is kinda weird. I know it's "not actual gameplay" but they kinda give us hints on what to expect (e.g. double jumppad for Octane and also 3 items for mentioned Loba).

idk why people are excited about this, more people than not can't even run it at 60 fps on console, increasing it is just going to bring more rage.

@@brianpancotto8829 I don't think you understand how frames work. If you cant run 60 then the change to 120 wont even affect you. It only works if you have a display and console that has 120 included.
People are excited about 120 because 120 is objectively better than 60, especially for shooters. If you can't play at 120 that's your problem and that doesn't mean other people shouldn't be excited.
@@brianpancotto8829 I can’t speak for how other consoles run but my PS5 runs a smooth 60fps, it’s not the worst but not the best either when PC player runs at like 140 fps making everything so much smoother for them. PS5’s and Xbox S’s now have 120 which makes our console experience way better like PC
I miss apex so fucin much 😢 havent really played since like season 16 or so because it felt the same every game and i was always solo

The new armour system seems very similar to how the Monarch titan's Upgrade Core worked in Titanfall 2. I'm assuming the lore connection will be Conduit making some changes to the legends gear?
I love these changes. I'm not surprised that they got rid of the weapons in the crafter, I thought they stopped doing that ever since the Rampart Devotion meta was so strong in season 6. But nerfing the crafters too? This will be an intriguing season for sure
Back when they first announced they were bringing a hidden MMR system to ranked, I must’ve made 50 or so comments saying it wouldn’t work, and why it wouldn’t work, hoping to grab some attention and prevent the whole mess that ended up happening (although most people just didn’t know better, and mostly called me an idiot lol). I’m honestly disappointed that it took actual game devs this long to understand why the system simply doesn’t work, but I’m glad to hear that they are indeed bringing the old system back. And for that, I will probably start playing ranked again honestly.

The ranked changes sound like what everyone wanted since around season 13 - actually based on ranked, incorporate both placement and kills - simple and hopefully good.
Also if armor is changing that much, then Lifeline's pack is going to have to change - and i HOPE TO GOD they giver her a re-work finally. Otherwise she's the only legend who's Q doesn't work outside the circle, and her ult doesn't help for any combat reasons, and her passive res was nerfed to create Newcastle - so she's been destroyed.
Also, it sounds like there's basically no new content. just re-colors and if you spend $200.00 you get an heirloom.
Crafter changes sounds great.
I love/hate this game.

I may not be playing apex a ton like I used to but I gotta say I’m happy to see that respawn is willing to try out and abandon things that don’t serve for a better ranked system. I feel like it was stuck with its flaws for a while and now season after season they are trying new things to remedy it which is nice

Again, I used to hear this misconception pretty often, why do you keep thinking that "late game kills give more rp"? It doesn't matter when you get a kill, only thing that matters is what place you finish in. You will get the same amount of points for killing top 20 team or top 5 team as long as you finish at the same place.
This is great. They are right with being moldable in their decisions. Listening to their community and trying new systems out.
Tbh I love the promo matches for leveling up on rank I like the idea of having a challenge to be able to even get into that rank
Great video as always. Vast majority of these updates favour the pre made 3 person teams again and widen the gap for solo que players. Thanks for the info, all too complex for me.
The focus on match making speed is going to make the higher levels of ranked very difficult to push through because as you go up there is less and less of the higher ranks so it’s gonna put those higher rank players in lobbies mostly filled with people below them because there are not many people in their ranks
Apex Mobile at experimented with the character augmenting thing where for example Wraith could get a shorter portal but faster movement when using the portal. Very excited for the update🔥🔥
I think that sounds like a lot of good changes tbh, be interesting to see if this fixes matchmaking. Crafting nerf is good as well

Thank god we’re going back to a ranked system and matchmaking that doesn’t just straight up punish people for being above average or good from the second the season starts while simultaneously gifting bad players a rank they don’t deserve.
Also, as a Series X player, they definitely need to tune aim assist down to .4 for next gen consoles if PC is getting tuned down to .3
Not sure if the PC aim assist nerf is 100% confirmed but that’s just what I heard from a friend.

one thing id like to see in your videos more is timestamps in the video so i can skip to what parts i want to see the most, and maybe images. i know theres been tons of images floating around about the upcoming changes, so thatd be cool to see instead of just gameplay. great vid!
Im really excited about the new ranked! I tried playing ranked for the first time this seasons and I just barely got to bronze 3 because I could never gain points.
Question. Will we be able to check out the perks of each legend on their page. Would love to see them before the game launches so i know what im going to pick faster, rather than in game trying to decide. Also any info on what Caustics perks will be.
Funny...they are removing the digi from SMGs but IMO that's going to have the opposite effect on the meta. IMO since fewer people will have digi threats equipped that will encourage the meta to stay at a "can't see" meta, however will encourage those teams to run scanners. Smoke with scanners meta.
Sounds like they are bringing over the legend changes that were unlockable in mobile game. You could get 100 points towards evo armor for finishers etc.
Their should be a notification for other players in your rank if their is a lack of players for a lobby. Maybe an incentive like less cost of entry or something.
Edit: this would be to reduce the chances of getting into higher rank lobbies than yourself just because it wants to put u into a match easier
The only care package weapons next season are the kraber and bocek. Wingman and prowler are back on the floor. It's about damn time they brought back my favorite smg, im so tired of this r99 car bs.
I wish they'd just make the bocek take sniper ammo and bring it onto the ground, it was one of my main weapons before it was carepackaged. It fits my playstyle so friggin well cuz i usually just run an smg or flatline for secondary
Same prowler was always the best smg for me I could control the recoil from long range, r99 and the other smgs are too hard for me to beam with on console
im curious to see how the crafting limitations will affect the ability to craft banners. will it take my one use for tht crafter away? or will i be able to craft the banner and one item ?
My thought is now, how is the perk system implemented? Because given the fast pace of the game, I would assume you would select which perks you want for your legend BEFORE you get into a match and not have some selection screen pop up as soon as you level up you shield core.
No you decide depending of what going on it way more good then just having to choose the perk before
You choose in game which Im also worried about, but with the changes, the evo shields are gonna level up slower than before so maybe with the slower pacing it wont be to bothersome.
my thoughts too, probably will have to pull up inventory menu to select which is an extra mechanic and slightly annoying

This feels like a huge w but we will see how all this plays out and I'm excited for apex for the first time in a long time. The players feeling heard matters just as much as the changes implemented.

Every thing you said in this video is an instant W over everything we've had the past few seasons. I basically stopped playing in Season 18 and 19, but this is a good reason to come back.
the augments kinda worries me, I mean with all the ults and tacts and with how dynamic the game is it might be a too much BUT if they nerf all legends and make it a more boots on the grounds(emphasis on gun/gameplay) the augments would be great kinda like in fortnite, but they did it with the guns
Good, cause I have evidence. Me, at Gold 1, got placed into multiple Predator Lobbies. One time I got teamed up with a pred with 30000 kills, the other I got killed by a 3x pred Revenant (He equipped all of his Pred badges badges, that's how ik he was 3x) So the huge ranked changes is a such a W.
So I heard last season that any rank can squad up with any rank but when I made it to diamond this season the game still wouldn't let me play with my homies in gold. Idk if it was a bug or they just lied lol. Hopefully it works this season.
If you duo q it doesn't work, you have to 3stack for it (idk if you did but just in case you don't know)
The one use per for the replicators is just bullshit. If me and my team are getting absolutely shit on and then one of us has to run away because they have no ammo and no meds and then the teammates die so you have to choose between getting ammo getting meds or crafting the banner? So now we just have to hope to God that they can get heals at third ring with bo ammo while on their own?
In ranked, will there be RP earned for assists as well as kills?
As a support player, there are a lot of moments where I'm laying down damage but not getting the actual knocks, as I am strategizing how to best support my teammates.

One question on the DigiThreats not allowed on SMGs anymore. In the Apex trailer that dropped this morning, it shows Loba pulling an Alternator with Digithreat attached out of her Black Market, that conflicts with what you're saying, no?
In the launch trailer for season 15, it showed catalyst’s dark veil countering Seer’s ultimate, which later turned out to be not true at all, launch trailers are grain of salt and shouldn’t reflect the gameplay imo
That's fair. Just wishful thinking on my part that they won't deprive SMGs of the digithreat.
The intent was for Catalyst's ultimate to blind the Seer ult, though. It just didn't work on release. Eventually, a lot later than it should have been, they got it to work.

Idk how I feel about this one so the crafting machine just became lifelines package but without armor? Since this got brought up and there will be no more ground Loot armors does that mean lifelines package won’t have anymore armors to offer? Because if that’s the case then me as a lifeline main means my special just became useless as I love the special to get me and my buddies upgraded armor and loot
You will also only get half point value for kills after 6 kills.
if they want to make apex a forever game like one of a old post said " our goal is to make apex a forever game....." they better listen to the community like totally listen maybe then we can see apex have a major comeback
if you look at the overall timeline of apex's development, they do listen to us. it's just that it takes a long time, and they're trying their own things as well, some of which work and some that don't.

I think it would be cool if respawn added a reward for finishing all the seasonal challenges and it gives you a chance to pick between past reactive skins from past seasons. I missed out on season 3 when the pk had a reactive skin.
Cool. Season 20 looks noice. Still skeptical because of their terrible track record. But for real, all of it looks nice.
However. Is there anything being done about the revive/interact button issue? How hard is it to implement a separate key map for rezzing for both MnK and controller?
What if you swap to a lower tier armor? Or when you swap armours with teammates?
Very sceptical about the new armor. I understand the idea, but it might totally backfire. That being said, they are finally trying some proper changes to mix things up. so that's a good thing.
The crafting changes are almost definitely a bad thing. Clearly they didn't learn from conduits popularity. Healing (or any regain for that matter) is painfully bad in this game and needs to be buffed. Nerfing crafting also nerfs regain (esp for resources after revive). Ring campers can be dealt with in other ways.
It's obviously so the bad players can't just craft and heal on zone.
News said every rank entry costs 20 rp, where'd you get that info about increasing costs??

Just dont like the ranked system from what I hear. Sounds like its going back to kill points being a big part of ranking up. Its just gonna make it more like pubs with teams going for kills instead of trying to win the match. Kinda sad.
And looks like they're enabling smurf accounts again too.
Apex really listening to pros and content creators over the majority, which is casual players.
Perk system looks fire though.
Overall excited for season 20...just worried about ranked tbh.
Kills and teams being aggressive is way better than 10 teams in the final circle and people ratting to Masters and not getting better at the fps portion of the game in my opinion

The goal of a BR is to win the match...not to get a 20 bomb.
There needs to be a balance...for sure.
Last 3 seasons were all about placement, it made the game slow until the end. When it's all about kills then the beginning of matches is fun, but it's based on rng too much, and end game is boring.
Let's hope we get rp for a certain amount of kills...but a big boost for placing top 5 so teams will still try to win the game. Which, like I said, is the whole point of a BR.

You can't rat to Masters in season 20.
They changed the crafter, it can only be used once for 1 item. No more zone healers. And if you rat you won't upgrade your armor, so you'll die.
There needs to be a balance...if it's all based of kills its just going to be another pubs match, with rewards at the end.
The point of a BR should be to win the match. Not to see how many kills or how much damage you can get.
Winning doesnt mean anything if you did nothing to get there. If you have the capability to kill 20 players equal to or better than you(as ranked is supposed to be) you should be rewarded significantly. Ranked doesnt mean rat to win a game and too many idiots dont understand that. You should be fighting everyone possible when you have advantage. You place better by killing. Not by hiding. Thats how you get better.@@highersolutions406

Frankfurt I tried recently and while I lag still, it's the most stable
Why would you put "free" above the heirloom shards.. I knew it won't be free, but even looking at it hurts. 3000 hours and still no heirloom

Great video as always buddy . I don't know how I feel about season 20 yet. But I definitely don't have any love for EA or respawn. When they activated cross progression, I lost all of my champion edition skins from my switch account. Upon reaching out to try to get them back, I've been going back and forth with EA. Help email about 20 to 30 times and they keep saying the same thing. Check this article. Check that article but nobody's actually helping. Especially when I look at the hot drop tab they're selling some of these skins for more money than they were originally but telling me it's a discount. They are just greedy for money and do not care about the player base.
So excited for S20!!!

What they need to do is do challenges so u could win red shards, I have over 3,000 on legend tokens end I can't use it unless I spend coins we should b able to upgrade without using coins. So I might not b playing this season

depends on what you want out of the ranked system, for me I'm pretty disappointed already. Kill points should be rewarded more in ranked. Winning 3v3s is not easy early or late game. Placement should continue to reward a lot of points too to give incentive to make end game, but not as much as it currently is.
@@heya404then play on NA like most do. I do as well. It changes nothing when playing 120 ir 50 ping unless you are trying to hot drop and contest the first loot, or open Doors. Playing NA allows you to improve your english as well
@@heya404 Oh. That`s sad.I play with 130-150 and i see no difference. As long as i don't have packet loss. Which i rarely do. I can see a difference in Valorant, Cs GO etc but when it comes to Apex, it is as if i am playing with 80 ping, i see no real major difference
How much is it necessary to spend to get all 24 boxes?
