    I think we don't realize how much; time, resources, and money it takes to get us viewers these videos. I certainly appreciate it, and support the channel when I can. Your recommendation of switching my bar to 35mm rise made a huge difference in my control and getting over obstacles. Thanks much Remy!

      I agree 100% Thanks Remy for giving us a look at just some of the work that goes into giving us this content! I love that we get to see more of how you ride.

    • @Literallyheretotalkshi
      @Literallyheretotalkshi 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doesn't the rise just change where you stack your stem? Is there a difference between a 15mm rise or a 35mm rise that's stacked 20mm lower?

    • @remymetailler
      @remymetailler  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Literallyheretotalkshi 35mm is the height of the bar. 15mm would be 20mm below and even though you could have 20mm extra spacers, it does not feel the same, and gives you less space between your chin and your stem.

    • @justsayin3600
      @justsayin3600 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Literallyheretotalkshi(this turned pretty long winded) man, I was having a hard time cornering without my rear washing out.I had a hard time pulling up my front end to get the wheel over obstacles. My wrists would ache for hours after a ride. I even rotated the bars back to feel more comfort. My neck and traps felt like I had rocks in there after an hour. I had 25mm rise. What I also noticed is I had a 780 mm bar and I didn't use all of it, like maybe 5-6 mm on each side stuck out. Now my hands are comfortable all the way to the ends on the same 780mm width, which for me, gives me a feeling of leverage and less distraction. Even though I can't really feel a difference just sitting on the bike with the 35mm ( just 10mm more) rise I also noticed I can pull the front up high and place it easier. I can get more to the rear of the bike going downhill naturally. I can even feel my Fox 34 flex when I'm torquing the bar through rocks. I can get out if the saddle and crank on the bars to get uphill naturally. The 10 mm didn't seem like it would be a big deal but Remy suggested here on TH-cam and I can't believe the fine tune it gave it. Now I'm thinking to get a Fox 36 because I feel like I'm feeling the 150mm of suspension in a different way. I was going to buy it anyway but it was easy to just use Remy's Jenson code to support the channel. Least I could do for Pro advice that definitely made a noticeable difference and makes me ride better.

    Always inspiring to watch your process. Good balance of fear vs focus. I'll never be at a pro level myself, but it definitely applies to all levels of riding. I've been at it for 20 years. Nothing has helped me learn to control my fear like this sport has. The reward is that I get to keep doing it!

    How much do you take the lighting of a feature into account when filming? Like if it's too much contrast between the top (sunny) and run out (shade).

    • @remymetailler
      @remymetailler  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a good question. The light is critical. We actually gave up some filming because the light was too bad. We usually only film from 5 to 8:30pm for the best light.
