Some people say that connecting two smps adapters in series mode damage them. Is it true ?

i am trying to power a tunng eye tube but it needs 0-8v negitive voltage and i was going to use potentiometer to change the voltage and i think this is how i am going to do it. i watched a lot of videos thismorning trying to get negitive voltage but this is definately the way to go, as well as being the only good way to do it.

Hi. They are used for Operational Amplifiers. Also with certain type of MOSFETs in inverter circuits.

Some audio amplifier like tda2030A need positive negative and ground so extra negative is required

Operational amplifiers generally have the ability to invert a signal (voltage) I'm unaware of any application where negative voltage is fed into an op-amp to be inverted to positive voltage.
