@@CoeShow619 too cool man! At the moment I am currently trying to learn to fly my new Nano S3 I just got yesterday. My guitar in my lap, and jammin a few licks in between many crashes. I really love this helicopter!
Justin, those Nano Helicopters fly great right out of the box with Skills like yours Brother. I guess the negative review also represents the Pilot's negative Skills! 😂🤣😂
Is there a video from Horizon re. how to begin using the MLP6DSM TRANSMITTER, we just got this heli, and we are BRAND NEW!! Like how to start out, checking trim etc, we know very little regarding all the little buttons. Our heli came all ready binded. Any instructors in COlorado?? We’ve studied the booklet some. Thanks..mfld
I got the RTF version of this....the controller is perfect for now. Learning to hover in small space. Even though its fresh out the box, i did a drift calibration. Actually twice. Works well. Have not done an idle up yet. But any basic tips when I do?
I just trashed my MSR X today. I was checking out this Nano S3, but I don’t own a transmitter. I only have the blade RTF that came with the MSR X. Is it a worth while investment, or should I go bigger.
@@Damon0306 Not worth, nothing is new besides tweaked software. Highly recommend an OMP M1 or something cheaper, XK K110.. Both fly better than blade nano although the M1 costs more, it's worth it for what you get.
I use the manual dude. Just program it yourself. Learn how to do it. A program doesn’t help you learn or help me teach you. Plug in the numbers in the manual for your radio.
I have the old nano s2 and it's even better days , I'm debating a new s3 or an xk k110 . Maybe the 110 this time for me . I m have the mcpx bl2 already .
Hey thanks alot for your video. I was trying to program my tx it's Radioking T18s (Jumper) for 2 days and I couldn't get the mode right. I didn't see in the instruction about left stick down right to change to progranmable tx. Did like you said in your video and everything works great. Thanks😊
Hello brother, How durable is this little guy. In the past they didn't take even small crashes very well. Thanks for any input I'm really considering purchasing one for calm days and inside flying. Thanks Sir.
Notable difference with BNF S2 it’s that it had a battery in the box, but it’s a detail as those are cheap. People say that bigger helis like 230 are better for beginners as it’s more stable. But It looks like this one can handle crashes better. Now I am struggling to chose between those: - Nano s3 - Mcpx BL2 (This one looks very crash friendly but also hard to fly) - 150s - 230 V2 I want to find out which one has better crash-ability given I’ll fly exclusively outdoor.
Get the nano, then the 230s. The 150s is not very forgiving when you crash it, I learned the hard way. The servos in the 150s are garbage and cost about $28/ each. My first crash took out 1 servo, main blades + tail blade, tail boom wasbent beyond repair, main shaft, spindle, blade drips, blade pitch linkages, landing gear, drive gear, and swashplate cracked but super glue helped that one for quite a few more flights. The ESC burned out on my third flight with the damn thing. Overall, don't get a 150s, unless you're ballin and don't give a fuk lol
@@deersbrook4485 I now have the nano s3 It’s a very nice littel heli. Should I consider the mcpx a the next heli ? What’s the advantages over the nano.
I have had the S3 for a few days and yes I forgot to tell the helicopter that I was binding it to my IX12 and of course it didn't fly correctly.. but now that I have correctly bound it, it flies very well.. I put my blh3325 brushless kit in it and ended up taking it back out as I think that the slightly heavier motor and esc just adds to much weight to the helicopter as the performance was much worse than the stock motor.
Horizon is sending me one to replace the 2nd version due to board issues. Happened twice. Looks nice. But the only thing i read online that is different is the stability for 3D flight. Probably going to sell it. Add some money and get another 270. Thanks for the review Justin. BTW. That was one fantastic drone footage video.
It does not have stability for 3D flight. Bank angle is limited in Safe modes and will not flip. It will only do flips and rolls in Agility mode which does not have a limited bank angle, and does not return to center. Just fly it in Stunt 2 and fly it like a helicopter is meant to be flown. It’s a heli. It doesn’t fly itself.
Can’t wait to fly like you man, I’ve got a s2 and know basic 3D. I also have a dominator 470L and love to practice on the low crash cost heli first. Also could you recommend me any good blades for my 470L trex? Main and tail
Go with any brand of blades thats well known in the hobby, align has some of the most accurate blades around so I would just stick with them until you have an over all better Heli such as SAB.
Yeah, My throttle curve in flight mode 2 is the same as flight mode one, and so's the pitch curve. There's no "Stick in the middle" there. The only difference I see between the two modes is the LED turns to blue, and the head speed goes up a little bit. These are with the stock settings on the NX-8. I wanna correct this, Just flew it and tinkered with it, and I do have the pitch travel to negative pitch in flight mode 1, or "Stunt one", but the throttle curve is set up to start at zero, same as "normal mode" Brought my head speed up to 90% and it seems to be a tiny bit better, just seems SO underpowered. I could NOT imagine handing my transmitter to you and having you fly it like you fly yours. lol Had expo on in pitch curves which I do NOT thin helped. (Or maybe that was throtle.I's 2:45 am, so I'm a lil punchy. ;)
The Nano S3 only flies in Stunt 2. The other modes are stability and altitude hold mode. It’s never going to fly like a helicopter in Stability and Altitude. Read the manual description of these flight modes. Fly it in stunt 2. That’s all it can do.
Really $100 for this small helicopter 🙁if a i was rich this helicopter is no problem for mi. But man this helicopter is expensive . This helicopter is like a toy it is like a helicopter you get from Walmart . It should be $50 . $100 is too much for this small helicopter

You need to assign flight mode switch to Gear in Channel assignment if your radio before it will work properly.
