    If you had landed the S3 on the dog it would not have batted an eyelid.

    Did you get all three colours yet?
    I only get green.

    is the transmitter MLP6 with the RTF sufficient to begin with? just getting into the hobby and don't want to spend too much on transmitters right now. I'm going to guess it wont be able to switch into any other modes?

    • @josephtiani6145
      @josephtiani6145  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That transmitter will be able to fly the plane in all three modes, and if you don’t have the cash to buy an nx6 at this point it’s a great place to start and lean to fly!

      Should be able to it is a dsmx transmitter, will have to just bind it back and forth since they do not have multi model memory.

    Thank you Joseph. I have only had my Spektrum DX6E and Nano S3 a few days and thanks to your video I managed to programme it. The instructions are clear if you have done it before but for a noob we have to learn how to get to certain menus within menus like the MIXING one which I just could not fathom. It needs to say CLICK ON MIX ONE and then we can see the GER > GER thingey and fill in the boxes.
    great vid. Thanks.

    According to what's in the box, it does show a 45C lipo battery and a charger that comes with purchase.

    I bought a Blade mCPX BL2 last month and decided to also get a Nano S3 to learn collective pitch (CP) heli's. Compared to my fixed pitch (FP) 120 S the Nano is extremely stabile indoors and doesn't really exhibit the "fly away" tendency in breezes of the 120 S. As much as I like the 120 S/S2 helicopters; A tamed down Nano is more enjoyable to fly, As Joe pretty much said the Nano stays where you put it. Time 21:16 I hope Joe's wife doesn't notice the blade-strike on the wall art ;)

    In the UK the lipos for the S2/3 are over £7 which equates to around $10. You really are lucky in the US with your prices. I'd love to have multiple batteries but not at that price! Enjoyed the video!

      Yeah, I have seen some places sell them for more than $4.99 and can def see that adding up if you buy several. $10 just seems crazy for that small one cell battery! I’m glad you enjoyed the video!

    Hello! thanks for the video on the radio setup, ive been flying this for a week or two without having it setup properly. However, you forgot one thing. You need to assign channel GER to switch B, otherwise you cannot enter 3d mode. Great vid!

    • @petercane6376
      @petercane6376 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I set up my S3 as per Josephs video but I cannot get the three mode colours ie Blue, green and red.
      Joseph did not mention this.
      Is it because I did not assign channel Ger to switch B?
      Does Ger mean Gyro?
      Do you get all three colours?
      Thanks.

    Hey I was looking a getting a small inside rc micro helicopter and I’m on the fence between this nano s3 or the fixed pitch blade nano 70 s. My first helicopter was a co axial blade cx 2005 model. It was garbage I didn’t like it. I wanna ditch the flybar and co axial setup and go for a more modern setup! Do you have to remove the body on the nano 3 to insert the battery or does it slide in?

    • @isupportyou693
      @isupportyou693 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      slides in on the bottom

    • @josephtiani6145
      @josephtiani6145  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, the bottom slides in from the bottom which is really convenient! I would go with the nano s3, slightly bigger size and much more capable. I don’t have any experience with the 70s but I have seen one and it is very small, which I guess would work if the space is tight. But the nano s3 batteries are also used by some other small rc planes if you ever wanted to get into that.

    • @michaelramsey82
      @michaelramsey82 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 70 S is great, but it's not as capable as the Nano. It's fixed pitch and doesn't have a fully manual, non-stabilized mode. For just casual flying, the 70 S is fantastic. You do have to remove the canopy to install the battery (unlike the Nano), and while the 70 S batteries are the same size as the Nano batteries, they have a short cord attached instead of the built-in plug that most other Horizon aircraft batteries of that size use. You can use 70 S batteries in a Nano, but not the other way around. The 70 S isn't actually built by Horizon - it's a rebadged Esky 150 V2. That's fine - it's a great heli - but that means it won't bind to a Spektrum radio and it doesn't share parts with any other Blade helis.
      If you're just getting started and you just want a tiny heli that you can fly around the house (and outdoors on calm days), the 70 S is perfect. If you're serious about helis and want to get into aerobatics and stunt flying, definitely get the Nano. You can always get the 70 S first, and when you outgrow its capabilities, upgrade to the Nano then.

      Have you tried to delete the model and create a new model? I wonder why, maybe double check which switch was set to flight mode. Sometimes it defaults to a different switch. I just checked the Spektrum_Transmitter website and they didn’t have the file for the nano s3 yet. That might be another option once they have updated the website is to download it and just put it on a sd card. I think the nano s2 file is nearly identical, so might be an option. I might try that out to see myself.
