    The unit comes with a 12v 7AH battery, i bought 3 UPSes like this removed all their batteries and fabricated a 12AWG cable to connect to a 12V20AH battery with ring terminals, now it runs my pc for 2.5 hours (my pc consumes around 50 watts with screen and printer)

    Thanks for sharing! I'm looking at getting one of these just to give power to the modem/router when the power blinks. Currently the power may only be out for a second, but it takes 30 minutes for the wifi to reset. I think this would be helpful to eliminate that issue.

      @@JByteTX We just had a power outage too, and that's what made me research battery backups and find your video. Check out our channel if you get a chance. Not sure if it's stuff you're interested in or not (outside property stuff, tractors, camping, boating, firewood). If you like it, we'd sure appreciate if you'd subscribe to help us grow.

    well it looks like i can use mine to play Electric Guitar in many sorts of random outdoor places
    but not sure if i got the right UPS for that kind of usage ?
    just hope it will resist the trips ..

      Glad it works but something like a Jackery or other mobile power source would probably be better.

      i traded back brother and got an CYBERPOWER: 1000VA | 530 WATTS
      it truly is a step Up and payed about 50$ difference
      is worth it my friend
      also has that cool little 100% Digital screen which is so useful
      only thing that annoys me is not been able of removing the CORE for when i take it outside
      but hey it does the job at least in it's most important aspects
      thanks for the video my comrade
      it still was Useful

    Is it normal that my pc shutdown completely when my power goes out with the usb cable or without it while using this backup? Is it protecting it? Nothing else shutdowm other than my Pc

    • @JByteTX
      @JByteTX  ปีที่แล้ว

      to have the UPS shut the computer down you have to connect to it using the usb cable and install the software from APC

    I just bought one so that I can hook up all my Nest cameras that are on a smart power strip since every time the power flickers the smart devices don't know how to reconnect to the router.

      @@JByteTX My only complaint is they didn't turn the plugs in a proper orientation to use large adapters.

    Hi. Can you pls tell on which desktop specifications have u tested backup of this UPS. Just wanted to know can it give enough backup for a mid range gaming PC (rtx 3050, i3 12th gen) to get it shud down at time of power outage.

      I have one supporting a pc with an 19-13900K, 64GB RAM, 6 HDD's, 2 m.2 NVMe drives

    • @JByteTX
      @JByteTX  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're in the middle of gaming it will probably only keep your PC up around 5-10 min. or so. If your pc is just sitting idle it will probably keep it up for quite a while longer. For a gaming PC I'd probably spend a little extra and get a 1500VA UPS. I think there are calculators available where you can put specs in and it will give estimated run times.

    • @fahdmirza8665
      @fahdmirza8665 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. Considering you have tested 600VA in a 13900k system, i believe this unit will serve the purpose of giving me enough time to shut PC down during power break down. less on pocket thts y cant afford a 1500va unit😊

    Is it safe to plug this ups into extension cord as i am short of wall sockets

    • @JByteTX
      @JByteTX  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it would be OK as long as it's a quality extension cable.

    CLICK BATE! Hence the 20% dislike score. Title slide is HOW MUCH RUNTIME? But all he does is repeat the manufacturer time at the end. And it's not a review, it's just an unboxing.

    • @JByteTX
      @JByteTX  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, I didn't mean for it to be clickbait, sorry you think that...I also have a video I put out where I had a real power outage and I say what my actual real world runtime was... You can check out that video.
