The two most important parameters when talking about UPS's are
    (1) The power it can deliver from the battery in Watts
    (2) The capacity of the battery expressed in Watt-Hours
Specifying only (1) as you have done is not sufficient. When talking about UPS's, a user needs to be able to calculate how long the battery will last. That's why when talking about UPS's, you must always quote the battery capacity too.
I do notice on a similar product from Amazon they don't quote the battery capacity either. However, as we know specifying only the power the unit can deliver is wrong, we should not perpetuate the wrong doing. We should always do the job properly.

And availability of replacement batteries. Good luck finding one for Amazon’s stupid 400VA model!

I just got one of these two months ago. I think I hate it. Plugged it in upon arrival, turned it on, let it sit. Power outage, plug fan in, works great.
Power out again, plugged in fan, ran great. 2-3 minutes later, light starts blinking, unit dies. Reset breaker, wait a few mins, try again. Same thing.
Needed a battery bank for a couple small items. Runs great for a couple minutes, then dies. UGH

@@justadadtips - It likely me doing something wrong, that's why I searched this topic. The instructions were waaaay too tiny to read, so I just winged it.

You should not hook a fan to a battery backup. It will damage the battery backup.
