I’ve been saying this for years. A conference league structure can benefit smaller teams against top club with financial advantage to offer top players larger contracts. The NBA, NFL, MLS is the best example. People look down on it for no reason. So i have a question: Do you like competition? Do you like to see smaller clubs have an opportunity to compete on a level playing field with the top teams? If competition is what’s good for football, if competition is entertaining, then conference league is the structure.
Sounds like Shor Industries is as diverse as the Sheriff corporation. Someone should make a video game where you run a massively diversified conglomerate in a shady country and also try to win the football league.
From what I have seen, it appears to be only fans from England who are looking down on the Europa Conference League, with a fair amount of that involving mocking Tottenham for their place in it. Granted, I dont often engage with fans from the other major European leagues, but overall it does appear that even the semi-large leagues and teams of Europe are taking it seriously and giving it the respect it deserves.
It's just a new inter toto Cup really. Probably won't be around for long. But I think it's a good idea though, gives the smaller teams a bit of exposure and some extra revenue.
As a person that is unironically interested in Moldovan (general foreign politics) I was shocked when Ilan Shor was namedropped just because he is leader of the Shor party.
Could I get some opinions on this. I’m Australian and the first football fan in my family. When I was getting into football we had a foreign exchange student from Munich who got me into supporting Bayern. This was at a young age and I’ve only started watching the games over the last few years. It comes today when I’ve became more passionate about Australian football that I’ve learned about the likes of Harry Kewell and Viduka and how good they were at Leeds and it has made me fallen in love with the club. Is it plastic to switch?
Video topic idea here: Have a look at the ongoing legal battle between former Premier League players Dimitar Berbatov, Stiliyan Petrov and Martin Petrov, and the current management of the Bulgarian Football Union, which has been accused largely of being incompetent, corrupt on a massive scale for the last 15 years and on resulting in the devastating state of the sport in the country.
I have to admit that I didn't even know where Moldova was before I watched this video. If only they taught geography, politics and business in schools like this is presented here
Can’t believe a man of only 24 has that much power, I’m sat here at that age with nothing but crippling student debt to my name and a few Sunday league goals
"people screwed by their elected representatives" as a Croatian, this sounds painfully familiar. A similar person was mayor of our capital for 20 years, and he would probably still be, had he not die before elections
Yeah, it's hilarious. Moldova has some serious issues though, pretty much nothing works, resulting in things like a decades-long epidemic of drug-resistant tuberculosis. Moldova is the country other basket cases like Ukraine and Zimbabwe look at to reassure themselves that things could be worse. But Alfie has a talent for picking out the most horrible photos of other places, and then showing the London skyline with the skyscraper that looks like a d-ldo for comparison. I mean, I'm sure there's some hideous photos of Coventry or Birmingham available that would make a stout fellow blench and lament the demise of British industry, say.
Marshall Ion Antonescu did not allowed jews to be deported to concentration camps in Mazy Germany controlled territories, but did not stopped the pogroms that were organised in Moldavia with or without his knowledge, many jews died as brutal reprisals, for the bomb attack from October 22, 41", occured at the Romanian commandant's office from Odess,a when over 67 romanians died, and the blame was set on jews, but actually the soviets mined the place with an radio controlled mine, many other jews were deported to Transnistria, where they died of harsh conditions, but was not a mechanized killing like nazis did. Is important to be known that Antonescu had no chance and had to accept Hitler's conditions or his country would had been carved like Poland, a chunk of North Transylvania was already given to Hungary, and soviets took Basarabia, because the countries that speak now about him as an infamous dictator, were not giving any help, in the conscience of many romanians, including me, he will remain forever a hero, with whom the great interbellic Romanian state died. Great video like always. All the best !
The Europa Conference League IMO adds little to nothing in regards to European club competitions. With only the play-offs to go, teams from 29 nations have guaranteed presence in the Group Stage of either of the three tournaments with 10 more nations from the Champions Path of the UECL fighting for 5 guaranteed spots meaning that 34 nations will have at least one team in either GS phase. Not as diverse and one may think, considering that last season 27 nations had at least one team in the Group Stage of either the Champions League or Europa League. And to top it off - this tournament is marketed as if it's a spin-off of the Europa League, i.e. the 2nd tier. If that's the case - why they didn't just expand the Europa League to 64 teams anyway. But then again there wouldn't have been a place for the 8 3rd placed teams in the Champions League

Alfie, thank you for making this video
Uefa have basically brought back the cup winners cup...that was Europe's 3rd cup back in the 90's
I always felt the UEFA cup was the 3rd competition. As with the European Cup you needed to win the Cup to qualify for the CWC. UEFA Cup was for losers not winners and started well after the CWC.
@@jonkernow4477 I know. Mr Adaptive isn't too bright is he.😂
As a Romanian who still considers Moldova as stolen land, this has been a brilliant documentary.
Hats off, thank you!
Moldova is a part of romania
@@KR-mm4el Don't be a smart ass, you know exactly what I mean.
Basarabia aka Republic of Moldova, is stolen land.
Better now?
@@danny9114 i am saying that moldova should be a part of romania wtf are you on
Stolen by whom, Moldavians? Yeah, I guess we stole our own land from Romania by living there... On behalf of our nation, I apologize for our existence and wish for our disappearance from this world, so that Romanians such as yourself can enjoy the land that has been so deviously pilfered from you.
@@Andmunko There we go, the hardcorest Moldavian type of all, the Moldavian from Stefan cel Mare himself that sees no other Territory as Moldova except RM + Moldova from Romania as part of it as well, lol.
That early 20 and 21st century propaganda from USRR really has an effect of you until today, you poor fucks.
Never knew you were a city fan, great escape was my favourite season… Gary Brabin and Joyce played like men possessed… we don’t honour Warren like we should. I miss the Scarborough games too!
Another cracking video well done sir
Your pronunciation of Moldavian clubs and cites kills me😂😂 They pronunced totally different in romanian
P.S. As a side note, not the club ruined the country that was already struguling but the currupt politicians that run the country and it just happend that one of them owned that club

God i love this channel 🤣🙆♂️
The Romanian pronounciation you have is like those bad "Engrish" H*llywood accents + strangling a cat. I love it.
Found the channel about 1 month ago love the content
I’ve been saying this for years. A conference league structure can benefit smaller teams against top club with financial advantage to offer top players larger contracts. The NBA, NFL, MLS is the best example.
People look down on it for no reason.
So i have a question: Do you like competition? Do you like to see smaller clubs have an opportunity to compete on a level playing field with the top teams?
If competition is what’s good for football, if competition is entertaining, then conference league is the structure.
Fun fact: The Shor party is now at almost 20% in Moldovan polls which is insane.
Says "any how..." Puts a pic of Eddie Howe. That was gold
Lol that draw with AS Roma standing out like a sore thumb
Fantastic video. What happened to Panathinaikos?
Still can't believe we lost to Bohemian
Ok we won, live to die another day
Great videos, keep them up.
"SOR SHOWED SHREWD" , did you you get that in one take? Interesting, as usual I learned something.
Sounds like Shor Industries is as diverse as the Sheriff corporation. Someone should make a video game where you run a massively diversified conglomerate in a shady country and also try to win the football league.
Dictatorship Manager
From what I have seen, it appears to be only fans from England who are looking down on the Europa Conference League, with a fair amount of that involving mocking Tottenham for their place in it. Granted, I dont often engage with fans from the other major European leagues, but overall it does appear that even the semi-large leagues and teams of Europe are taking it seriously and giving it the respect it deserves.
It's just a new inter toto Cup really. Probably won't be around for long. But I think it's a good idea though, gives the smaller teams a bit of exposure and some extra revenue.
0:39 No obscure team, it was Rubin Kazań, who lost their numbers on t-shirts, they were playing against our polish Raków Częstochowa :O
Can you do a video about South East Asian football????
Permanent marker is preferable to city's alarm clock numbers.
Great video as always,.
Don’t get me wrong I enjoy most the videos of this channel but these style ones are spectacular
As a person that is unironically interested in Moldovan (general foreign politics) I was shocked when Ilan Shor was namedropped just because he is leader of the Shor party.
Isle of Man XI would be fun to do
Could I get some opinions on this.
Video topic idea here:
Have a look at the ongoing legal battle between former Premier League players Dimitar Berbatov, Stiliyan Petrov and Martin Petrov, and the current management of the Bulgarian Football Union, which has been accused largely of being incompetent, corrupt on a massive scale for the last 15 years and on resulting in the devastating state of the sport in the country.
I have to admit that I didn't even know where Moldova was before I watched this video. If only they taught geography, politics and business in schools like this is presented here
Say "Shaw showed shrewd" (management) 10 ties faster... I dunno how he did it
Can’t believe a man of only 24 has that much power, I’m sat here at that age with nothing but crippling student debt to my name and a few Sunday league goals
"people screwed by their elected representatives"
as a Croatian, this sounds painfully familiar. A similar person was mayor of our capital for 20 years, and he would probably still be, had he not die before elections
The whole world is in turmoil apart from Britain according to Alfie ffs

Great work
The Europa Conference League IMO adds little to nothing in regards to European club competitions.
For some reason the number 109 keeps popping into my head.
