i had some trouble to pair this device, and found out that the router must be also in wifi (b) mode. So it must be in b/g/n mode and not only g/n. otherwise the DW2 will not pair!!
When I installed and started testing the unit, I also gone through the first set of batteries fast. And at one point I have done something stupid (I don't remeber) and I broke my unit. So I have no long term experience.

Hello, do you know if this Door Sensor, which is Wi-Fi, can trigger Alexa routines? I am positive that same can be done with its Zigbee alternative. I have added mine (Wi-Fi) to Alexa and created my routine. When I manually push the button to trigger the routine, the routine works fine. But automatically same cannot be done.. @@csongorvarga számomra érthetetlen, hogy egy sima 433-as 12V-os elemet kapott, amivel minimum 1 évig elvan, addig egy sokkal nagyobb fogyasztású wifis cuccot megépítettek 3V-os betáppal. ha lesz 12V-os verzió, akkor veszek. addig marad a 433. a zigbee se túl jó a kis cr2032-es teleppel. plusz amit küldenek vele, ötből három elem egyből kuka...
@@andraskarolyiofficial A feszültség nem számít, hanem az elem kapacitása. És a két AAs ceruzában még így is több energia van mint egy 12V-os sokkal kisebb elemben. Ennyi jön ki a wifiből. Ezért van 433, wifi meg zigbee verzió is, mindenki azt választja ami neki a legjobb. Ehhez nem kell hub, így ha 1-2 kell csak belőle akkor olcsóbb.

I think you can with a bit of trick. eWelink and Sensibo should talk via IFTTT. Your eWelink account needs to be upgraded to a premium account and after that you can set up a rule in IFTTT that if the DW2 unit senses window opening, it turns off the AC via Sensibo. This premium account if new for me, I have not actually tested in before.

Sorry, I don't think it can be done. Routines I designed to started by time or voice command. Devices have no influence on that. I checked in IFTTT and these is no feature like that. Not even in Node-Red.

I will research about Alexa, (I don't own any) which I read can be trigged without a voice command, to see if there is any possible combination to make both devices (sonoff and alexa) interacts, maybe with IFTTT. Good question. Test with your phone. If your phone just had minimal wifi (like a single dot), DW2 will probably not work. Anything more and most probably the DW2 will connect as well.
Which one is better? SONOFF DW2 or Sonoff Zigbee SNZB-04 ??? I have a SONOFF DW2 I know this and so far it has worked flawlessly (I bought it a month ago). And I also have a Sonoff Zigbee Bridge.
To be honest, I don't see a difference between the two. Functionality is the same. I do not have a full lifecycle test, but I would assume that the DW2 will go through the batteries much more quickly. Zigbee sensor may reach to places where your wifi is too weak. But that is pretty much all.
@@hvili79 I don't know, I don't have them long enough to see. I think Sonoff quoted 5-6 month in regular use. So that may go down to 3-4 month is it is a high traffic area. Probably no wonder the DW2 uses two AAA batteries, and the Zigbee module a tiny coin cell battery. It will not be that bad, but wifi technology is more power hungry.

Nice video, but what is the advantage compared with the Aquara Zigbee Sensors? The battery-life in the Zigbee Sensors is 2 years and not 2 month and they are very smaller.
Hello Varga, I have bought multiple sonoff dw2 devices and I haven’t been able to connect any of those. I get the error code 6304 - what ever that stands for. I have tried connecting them through my iPhone, my iPad and an android phone. All with the same disappointing result. I find the devices in the ewelink Bluetooth list, but after it tries to connect to the WiFi it bails our after just 20 sec with that error code (6304). Since I can’t set the device to compatible mode, which usually works around every problem with sonoff, I really don’t know what to do. So you have any tips or ideas on what the problem can be?
I bought two of the dw2 devices, from different suppliers, and neither one will pair with the network. The eWeLink app finds the devices through Bluetooth but cannot pair them to the network (even using 2.4 GHz b and channel 6 as suggested by others). I have many other Sonoff devices that work just fine.
I have spoken to Ewelink now about this and they have confirmed that their is something wrong with the firmware. And they are working on it. But I still don’t get how that new firmware will help me since I can’t connect the devices anyway.
@@marcmo I have consulted the customer service of sonoff, they said this is a bug, they will solve this problem in the next firmware version（hope they will...）

This has been asked before, and I thought it is not possible, but I was told it works with similar other devices. I have no Alexa, so I can't test it.
One problem is that the response time of the device is random. Can vary from a few seconds to over a minute.
Ah I did not notice that. For me it was slow, but more like in the few to 10 seconds.
The notification doesn't work anymore only if you pay... Is there any other app you can use it with and that gives you a notification?

Hát igen, talán jobb a Zigbee. Zigbee to MQTT cuccokat állítólag könnyen lehet csinálni, és akkor az más eszközhöz is jó lesz.

@@ovidiu0505 Not really. I believe I used a zigbee sensor in Tuya which had a "after 30 min" trigger, but it is not in eWeLink.

@@hadhaztv Nem lehet hogy ahol nem megy, ott a router 5GHz-re van állítva a router. Ezek csak 2.4GHz-es wifin működnek.

Yes battery life is worse. This does not require a zigbee hub, so if you only need 1-2 sensors, it can be cheaper overall.

It works with the App over WiFi.
Yes, it connects directly to the wifi like most of Sonoff devices. So no need for a bridge. But you loose on battery life unfortunately.
