"Almost non-existent learning curve." - As a long time iClone user I had to laugh out loud at that one. Doing anything remotely well with iClone/CC takes a solid understanding of the tool and what you are doing.
@@lordkiller977 I quit using iClone as it was too mocap dependent and I was looking for hand made animation editing. And at the time very buggy, bugs that make you put it away as there were no solutions or work around to proper functionality.
Entrenched habits and eco system preference is what keeps character animators from seriously looking at Iclone. the Blender, Autodesk even the UE 5 community would rather endure complicated and less intuitive native CA solutions in their Own softwares rather than look at external options I get the Maya preference because of its versatility and you have ZERO chance of getting a CA job in a major Studio without Maya knowledge. But I just gave up trying to get the Blender users to look at the Amazing free Pipeline tool for sending Iclone Character to Blender because they just wont consider non Blender native options again,Entrenched habits and eco system preference . Additionally Reallusion has some fairly Draconian restrictions on distributing any animation in the native Imotion format. (You can’t) So collaborative projects with big or remote teams is a problem unless you export to an intermediate format like FBX,BVH etc.
Been a Reallusion customer since the Crazy Talk days. Watched with much interest the development of iClone. At this point it really has achieved a level of competence that is quite compelling, but so has Blender, and now with nvidia Omniverse and all the cool toys, the case for iClone seems less certain, imho.
yes and for learning of marvelous designer pipeline you must even for its learning Kit.. can you believe it ?you must to pay for learning kit while learning is free
Animating character walk cycles and movement with a joystick is revolutionary this should be default in every 3d software excluding unreal and unity🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😎🔥🔥🔥😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
hello i have also a xsens suite , i had a question , is it possible to do real time rendering with iclone 8 because i would like to put my avatars into real life and interact with peoples like they did in the movie spiderman and the movie of the ninja turtles . Is there a tutorial about this ? please help me
"No one talks about this" yeah coz all the discussions were done years ago when it actually came out. Might as well make a video saying "Why does nobody talk about Poser"
Problem with Poser is, the Company Smith Micro have selled the Poser Software to a other Company and since then very important features are since then missing, i mean the Livelink to Cinema 4d is no more there. (Since then Smith Micro only work for rich peoples in the money busines, the only goal they have now is to make as much money as they can... ☹i think this says all about what they care about theyr Poser clients...) I was a huge fan from Poser, but since Smith Micro have sell my Poser Version with Cinema 4d Livelink, i was never again able to instll my Software on the new Computer because they have turn down the activation servers. I have lost my Poser Software and the new Version is useless for me... This was at least the 5. time i have loosed a software because there was the company accquired from a other company and if i spend hundreds and tousends of money for nothing in the end, this makes me very much angry !!!!
I have a question: Is there a website where you can download as many mocap animations as you want? I remember someone mentioning it some time ago, and I believe it was either you or the TH-camr Ask NK. Do you happen to know the name of that website?
Iclone must work more in the cinematic render. If iclone users r forced to use Blender or Unreal to be able to render cinematic style , those users may move to Unreal or to Blender , because that will be free . All is about get use to it ...Ones the iClone users may learn how to use Blender or Unreal , what will stop them to use permanent those programs and return to iClone ? It is logic...

And this applies to every software. Even if you are using any IA, you will need to work very hard if you want good results.
Heading into month 4 of being paid to learn this program. It's different from Maya but still doable

to be honest. every skilled 3d artists talks about reallusion's iclone and character creator too
What you say about Cascadeur. please do detail comparison of both.

Are you payd from Autodesk ?????? 🤔
Nobody can afford $1895 a *year* for Maya, no matter how good it is. Only corporations use rentware.

how does a render engine make a animation tool less interesting thou lol
Iclone simplifies the animation process, for sure! But it's far from an effortless learning curve
It's also extremely expensive. That's a good reason nobody talks about it.

I change from iclone to blender. Great 3d software for beginner.

YES! Idk why there’s not more game style locomotion tools in 3D programs.
@@Jrm5814 it's the future way of doing locomotion for characters especially if you can customize the joystick animations to you liking

Very, very cool!
Iclone is old so everyone already talked about it
The realtime render engine is way stronger than eevee isn't it?
amazing tool, just need to fix their bugs... cause its really annoying
