I feel tnr gave me more power then even bones brew. I won’t run traxxas fuel. But tnr is expensive af to ship here so after running this gallon I’ll go back to bones brew. But after switching to tnr my mt410 started wheeling easier and seems to tune a lot better imo.

Hey what's the oil content in that TNR 30% nitro I've been running VP 30% nitro with 9% oil it's 58 bucks a gal won't run Traxxas fuel .back in the 'late 80s I run sprint cars and I had a buddy that ran a top fuel hydro and I used to get 2 gal of nitro methane from him and mix it with the alcohol from the Sprint car and then add blends all or Klotz racing caster 30 nitro an 12 percent been oil caster to it make my own fuel that's all would mix with alcohol, I live in Cali too above sac.I have a xtm racing 1/7 scale mammoth 4/4 with a OS 30 big boy and nitro slash 3.3 good to know a new fuel 🤟

I remember being told when u change fuel percentage u must watch and probably tune. I ran Traxxas until I went to track back in the day and everyone was running different stuff there synthetic and cheap oil. So I switched to pro stuff more power less dripping out of exhaust.. ur correct brother thanks 🙏 Good 👍🏻 stuff Earl. Loving these new intro Taco Bell got me. Lol 😆
I haven't played with nitro cars in prob 25 years. Some things change but yet they seem so much the same. The radio gear and battlers sure have come a long way. I sure don't miss chasing runaway rigs lol Thanks for the hard work E man. Cheers
With the supply chain still trying to catch up I think that what ever is easily readily available at a decent price wise makes the best sense doesn’t always have to be the best
I just use the cheapest stuff I can find lol. I used to use that Byron stuff but my local hobby shop doesn’t carry it so I use the VP racing nitro and it’s actually a racer’s fuel because VP fuels is known for making top notch high octane racing fuels for cars as well.
I switched to Hotfire 25% nitro (9% oil) and run all my TRX engines with this now. Great fuel and the engine runs and tunes great! I think a problem is that people (note bashers like us) tend to overthink this choice of fuel. Just get a fuel from a well know brand with nitro content of 16-25% and and oil content from 9-12% and you are good to go. I have tried many fuels with these spec and they have all run great!

I was using 20% O’DONNELL fuel on my LST2 …and now I can’t find it anymore! And just finished my last of it! I’m gonna have try that TNR! And I also just back into it..been having my LST2 over 15 years !

I'm very excited about Nitro Rc's but your series on these are my guides to a successful & enjoyable experience with Nitro 💯💯💯 I am curious tho as to what would happen if by fate the Nitro fuels were mixed up . Natural looks awesome and I remember my buddy‘s running those back in the 90s and early 2000s I never owned one but I want to know cause I can afford it but the reality is I don’t know if I want to deal with it. You’re so limited places up here where I live to run something that sounds like that but MAN I want one now😂

I thought we were going to see the jato rip??? It need new tires anyway 🙄. Nitro Freak said it the best, to a certain point that all nitro is the same but the oil is the difference. I run Morgan fuel since I can't get Bryon anymore but I just got a new 3.3 Jato and I'm going to try Bones Brew on it. And it not a bad price so since nitro is nitro I'll just stick with it.
@@earlmoorhead5555 please explain, the lsn and idle screw work together at times but once off idle they part ways. If you look at any nitro engine manufacturer manual you won’t see them say use the lsn to adjust idle nor would anyone with tuning know how but so explain please
@@earlmoorhead5555 you don’t need to adjust the idle mixture that’s what the other two needles do they change the fuel mixture it’s pretty simple to understand. A idle screw raises or lowers the idle of an engine by opening to allow more fuel/air or closes to reduce fuel/air.
@@earlmoorhead5555 when you use the lsn to adjust idle all you are doing is adding or reduce fuel/air yet doing nothing to set a proper idle but hey you do you, your wrong and should learn the proper ways of tuning nitro before giving wrong advice.

I've been running bones brew RTR (20% Nitro 12%oil)mix in all mine. Very happy so far. Performs well and good tuning. !!
love learning about these RCs. I doubt I'll have a nitro but you never know, can't pass up a great $ deal. So it's good info to have.

Nice crazy just put new gears on my kyosho Inferno GT2 and I have 4 gallons of Byron fuel

🤙🏾 Nope! All fuel isn’t the same. I always stuck with Top Fuel in my Traxxas RCs mainly because traxxas gave me a hard time replacing an engine.
Yes 👍 traxxas will not warrantee use of any other fuels
