yeah, same....and pretty much all the serious enjoyment I get from these games too. Just driving around is kind of fun....once i try to actually do stuff though, that's when the frustration sets in. I can't drive at all without the assists, and struggle against new racer Drivatars. Fix the damn car up completely with the drift suspension and tune it. Use a higher psi for the rear tires, use lower downforce in the back and set your rear differential to stay locked 100%. Use your e-brake to initiate a drift, and your regular brake with your throttle to adjust speed.

With a wheel is simple with a fecking Xbox controller you can't effectively counter stear at all there is way too much slack in the stick to do it effectively.
main thing I've learned looking up drift tips is I'll never be good at drifting in Forza. I honestly can't control ANY car without the assists on, never mind my being easily confused by manual shifting ( I'm autistic and have pretty bad reflexes & memory ). And no, it doesn't matter how much I try/practice. I can't get any better :( at least I can drift like a pro in Mario Kart Wii, 7 & 8....Forza will just have to be about enjoying the open world driving & the atmosphere for me
Thank you TomCat. I’m not good at drifting. Just started using manual trans for drifting and it’s easier. I do appreciate it. I know I don’t own a rwd in real life, but this helps me keep up with my buds in FH4 and FM7.

KEY MOMENTS: Stability Control & Traction Control must be OFF!!! I am now a drift GOD. 64k. score first run,... objective complete. Didn't even watch past that part. I can now drift non stop where ever I want with NO issues. Just drifted around a traffic circle for 5 mins. without breaking the drift, or losing control of a Formula Drift car. Thanks again!!!
Fantastic video, helped a lot. I'm new to drifting and using a wheel for racing games and I tried this and i definitely got better with the wheel but still couldn't go around in circles drifting, but as soon as I picked up the controller and applied your tips, i was drifting really well. Still need to practice with the wheel, it's really hard to not overcorrect when using it

Using a g29 wheel and not sure if that makes it harder than a controller (will try controller later), but the wheel is 900º and I find it VERY DIFFICULT to quickly steer to all sides.
