I love this family!!!! They made me believe that they are a real family. They truly represent a hispanic average family, and the grandma reminds me of my mom! its also awesome to hear Lupe say "come mierda" :D
yes! Lydia reminds me so much of my grandma too, and when i showed my mum the first episode her jaw dropped at how similar they are. it did make it very emotional for me when she was in hospital at the end of season 2 though!

Isaac D she does have an accent it’s an American accent. Everyone has an accent but yea she puts on a Cuban accent for the show and she’s really good at it aha

I watched this over two days !!!! Soooooo good!! Absolutely loved the show, felt 100% represented. I’m a 30 year old single mom and I live with my mom and she’s just like Lydia hahahha. This was just so well made and thought out ❤️ I loved every character, the dialogues!! I ant wait for the next season

Omg rita in everything I've seen her do she had an accent but in real life she doesn't I can't believe it but the I remember she was in West Side story and she had an English speaking part she's been in English media for ages you would think she doesn't have an accent anymore but you still get shocked Everytime she doesn't 😂😂😂😂😂

In Season 1, Penelope asked for a pay rise to match then exceed that of her male counterpart, but the script read as if she was accepting a salary of $3/hour instead of S$33 /hr. Why would the script underplay that she had crossed the artificial threshold that assumed the highest she could go was to be paid equal as man when she could be paid more by simply being better ?
Btw, I love the series, so far.

this show is so PC, it just makes me want to vomit. I have never seen an Hispanic family with these kinds of morals. The only thing it's got going for it is the actors. what a waste of talent. every episode has a PC moment behind it. Filled with jokes in between. They instill lies about todays beliefs and liberal understanding. This show is so far to the left it instigates the hate that the left have for trump.

Being Hispanic myself, I know many Hispanic families that still believe in tradition. The writers have taken headlines and have put them into they're own narrative. In order to attract the PC audience and added Hispanic to not seem racist. Being a vet. I know for a fact that the VA does not place you on hold for hours end. the exaggeration of owning a gun is not that dramatic. Even when the grandma has one, she knows that it's ok to have one. We don't let the outside world dictate how we feel or live. We don't let our traditions be taken away because someone doesn't understand them. the daughter being gay and the family being so accepting of it, isn't true. And the young lady not even dating any boys, but just saying that's how she feels. At an age which shes still learning about her self and her body. And I know your gonna say " how do I know"? My daughter is gay, and did not realize it til she was much older. and I didn't treat her any differently. And everyone of her gay friends have seen the show and said the same thing.

There is nothing wrong with having liberal views in this world it's what's going to make this world better. This show educates cultures and that is a good thing. And they do go though struggles they just get solve at they end faster than in other tv shows that's all. But if you don't like it you don't have to watch nobody is holding a gun to your head. And to the lesbian thing. I always knew I liked girls ever since I was little I just didn't came out until I was a teenager. Your daughter and her friends coming out later doesn't mean that everybody is like that, everybody goes through a different process or they just lied to you. And not everybody goes on to dating boys to prove something they know they are.
