I came to accept it and love it actually. I feel like is something I will always have no matter what♥️

I think what people mean by look more latina is looking more "brown" aka indigenous with darker features..so honestly with all the diversity, and the fact people arent educated about it, i can understand why people say that. Im really light but i still have features that dont pass for white, and pitch black hair. I often got mistaken for asian instead. I never got offended, i just had to explain and educate.

Teresa soria I totally understand what your saying, It’s great that this show is giving exposure to different types of Latino communities/cultures but I agree instead of pointing out that certain derogatory terms are geared more towards one group of Latinos it should have been demonized altogether. As far as the on going joke about being confused for Mexicans and becoming offended, I see how it could give that perception, It could have been addressed a different way. Unfortunately, many people out of ignorance think all Latinos are Mexican 🙄 and I can understand the frustration people may feel for being referred to as something they are not. I think the show was trying to be funny without realizing it could also be offensive.
Erika That would be frustrating, especially if they are as proud as I am of my heritage. I hope the show continues to be successful, and finds more ways to show the common struggles all the Latinos have right now. We should be uniting more than ever right now
