Thanks for going through the absolute beginner basics like this! I never had the chance to work with or even exist close to power tools growing up. Understanding what part of the tool does what and why you'd use it over another is huge!

Im so excited to have ran across this video. Ive recently started crafting with a lot of wood products and have only used a couple of the simpler saws. Ive already had several projects lately that needed cuts using power tools im not too familiar with. So ive been really wanting to learn more, all i can actually, about dif saws, their uses, safety mainly and more when i stumbled across your videos. I just want to say, thank you so much for sharing and taking the time out to make these. As the title says, "for beginners," and thats def me, it has helped me tremendously on how to use n so much more. Im much more confident and comfortable using the saws now that im learning how to properly and safely use them. I can do things myself now instead of having to get the neighbor or friends do it for me. Keep them coming and thanks again. 😁

Glad it was helpful! Be sure to ask questions when you have them... it really helps me to come up with new video ideas for those that are beginners like yourself.

I endeavor to build a Sanctuary. Like Noah built Ark. Moses built Tabernacle. Solomon built House of God. Ezekiel went through Temple of God. Also Revelations chapters 20-21. I got a drill master circular saw. I read the instructions. To see you show, explain, point out and break down helps further first time with one. Still little shaky about angle adjustment. I learn as I go along. Determine to get it done. Thanks for explaining and clearing up what is what.

I have inherited a Black and Decker battery driven circular saw. I'm a bit pleased with myself as when I first tried to charge the battery it was on the charger for hours and didn't get charged. I nearly bought a new saw but I thought I should give it another try. That was when I noticed that one of the contacts on the battery was green. I got a little strip of sandpaper and cleaned the contact up and voila the battery charged. So now I have used it a bit. It seemed OK at first but later the saw kept stopping. I thought maybe the battery was not holding its charge well so that it was not giving the saw enough power but when I put the battery back in the charger it appeared to have plenty of charge. One suggestion online was that the blade maybe loose. So I'm here to see whether there is something that I am doing wrong or to find out how to tighten the blade.

This is the perfect newbie video. I've known nothing about them and am seriously nervous contemplating it. But we just built a new home. And I want raised planter beds and bookshelves without having to rob a bank. Thank you! P.S. And you are the second expert - along with a "best of" post - I've seen who chose Makita, so I'm leaning toward that one.

I watched this video because my boyfriend had a stroke and needs a ramp but I can not find anyone to help put one up. So I figure it’s time for me to learn about saws because I’m going to have to build the ramp myself. I found this video very informative and will watch part two now.

I'm so sorry to hear that! Please reach back out if you have questions along the way. I wish I could help out with this project. If it's ok, I'd really like to be praying for you both. If you have specifics let me know, if not I'll let the spirt lead me in my prayer time tonight.

Nice video. I appreciate your attention to detail and explaining things including the most basic and simple of concepts. I've never used a circular saw, so that was important for me.

I know that I am LATE to the party, but I’ll go ahead and throw in my two cents. I use a Makita skill saw because AVE, a TH-cam channel that deconstructs tools took it apart and it’s VERY well built, and will last a lifetime! I’ve only had it about 5 years now, and it’s still awesome!
