Instead of scissors, I always bring nail clippers. They are smaller, never get confiscated, I can take them abroad, and on the plane. They cut tags, tear through plastic, and are life savers when I have a chipped nail. I've even used them to grip and pull knotted shoelaces. The ones that clip on your keychain are extremely convenient.

      @jazzywazzy._. 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

Yes! Nail clippers are a much safer option for traveling and great for cutting both nails and tags. I have a mini keychain one and it’s perfect to keep in my bag.

You can fly with safety scissors. AS LONG AS THEY ARE UNDER A CERTAIN SIZE. CHECK WITH YOUR AIRLINE FOR EXACT RULES. Either child safety scissors or 1st aid scissors . I’ve flown with both packed in checked luggage.

@ScottLRoc70 i apologize if i implied you couldn't, but thank you for the information. Personally, I'd rather not chance it, or seek out special scissors, when nail clippers do the job and trim the nails lol

Start a walking program a couple of months before your trip. Bring a couple of broken in shoes so you can swap out shoes. I've neen to Disney 5 times in the last couple of years and I've never gotten blisters. I bring extra socks to change into in case it rains. And I never wear new shoes.

I once lost my ID in Animal Kingdom. Disney was so helpful and told me how to get in touch with the police to file a report, which made it much easier to get on the plane back home. The TSA agent asked if I had anything else on me that had a photo, and at the time I had a Southern California Select Disneyland Annual Pass so that worked! Ironically, Disneyland helped me get home from Walt Disney World!

It's wise to make a photocopy of all your ID and keep in in a separate spot from your actual ID. If you're taking your passport, this is especially important --- just copy the relevant pages. This idea will be a lifesaver if you lose your wallet or passport.

  • @NanaGram

I will put in my 2 cents worth
(these days, esp in Disney, that's my $20 worth)
Divide up the " in case of items" between adults: for example: Have one person in your group pack a Tide stain removal stick for drips & drops on clothes.
One person needs to carry a small folding umbrella (in addition to the ponchos. Ever tried to use your cell phone in a rain shower without getting it soaked in a just a poncho? I have; doesn't work well)
A few Tide basin detergent packs for hand laundry can be helpful if the hotel laundry machines are busy or inconvenient.
I like to bring a small blanket for my Disney room. I'm that person who can get cold in air-conditioned rooms. And bringing Orthopedic flip flops for post park wear are magic! I like Oofos, but there are many great brands. Your feet will thank you!

Instead of a roller foot massager just use a filled water bottle. Lay it on it's side, on the floor and roll your foot back on forth on the side of the bottle. Frozen water bottles feel good too.

I then a month ahead of time start breaking in any new items I'll be bringing like shoes. These were very useful tips. Coming from the military, those boots literally destroy your feet forever. I wish I would have been smart about taking care of my feet on our last Disney trip. My wife and I ended with blisters and unbearable pain. When I got home from the trip I used a massager which helped my feet. Needless to say I will be packing my own massager for the next trip. I also thought my wife was crazy in wanting to buy linen for the hotel. It seems crazy but after she got the linen I slept a whole lot better. Now we call that our Disney linen. Thank you for the video, certainly helps a lot.

I have custom inserts in my walking shoes and they are ridiculously comfortable however my feet still ache after a long day in the parks. Seriously underrated tip. One trip I even got ice from the machine near the vending machines and soaked my feet in ice water to help with the aches. It WILL sneak up on you…maybe not the first or second day but eventually they will hurt.

I’d recommend a collapsible stool. They make them compact down to the size of a water bottle and can fit into a tote bag or clip to a belt loop. Very handy to have when stuck waiting in super long/slow lines.
Be warned as the park might not allow them. I had a friend who brought one and no one gave him any trouble for bringing in his compact folding stool. Some people even asked him where he got it.

They make Space Bags- Vacuum Bags that instead of using a Vacuum cleaner to suck the air out - you ROLL THEM UP to get the air out. . With the air out of the bags they use up FAR LESS SPACE of dirty clothes than you would otherwise and In fact I have three or four of these things IN ALL of my suitcases and they get used on every trip. That along with a selection of various size Freezer Bags (Which are stronger) they are in my Suitcases all the time so I never leave home without them. Instead of a Pancho, I actually have a Full size Plastic Rain coat - they too are thicker and stronger and cover move of my body during a downpour. I also have a golf umbrella that folds up to a compact size the works for more than I person at a time. I NEVER go anywhere without a few tubes of SUPER GLUE as well. Takes no space but then you need it ! I have a local store that has a TRAVEL SIZE section of all sorts of things (A clothing detergent pouch) that you can use. Still - most of these things I keep IN THE SUITCASES so I never have to remember them. I replace anything I have to right after a trip so I am ready for the next one. And I keep a list of those things in the suitcase too.

I had ran back to the hotel room to change at dinner time as I just hopped on the ferry outside the back of world showcase after having dinner in America... but sitting in the room they still did not dry.

I miss Disney World Animal Kingdom so much! I haven't been there since 2011 and I would like to work for them as a Zookeeper because it is beautiful there. I could also enjoy and spend time at the Swimming pool, Roller Coasters and watching the parade at Magic Kingdom. I additionally want to move to Orlando or Kissimmee Florida because I've been dreaming about this since I was a kid and I'm looking forward to it for the future!

We pack travel sports towels... so if we get soaked on rides or weather we can dry off quicker and helps reduce chaffing and sunburn.

Thank-you AJ! Everything from DFB is always so upbeat, to the point and very helpful. I also suggest baby wipes (the disposable kind) and duct tape. I strained my ankle once in DW and wrapped it with white duct tape and never bothered getting an ankle bandage. Also ankle and knee bandages are good if one is inclined to hurting oneself.

To help feet, can use frozen bottle of water. You can roll it with your foot and it decreases inflammation .

Flushable wipes or baby wipes. Toilet paper doesn’t always cut it, and the baby wipes can help you “rinse” your body off throughout the sweaty park day.
    Rechargeable fan as well!

I finally am stroller free with my kids BUT a great idea for those stroller markers at NIGHT it to purchase a large set of WRIST GLOW IN THE DARK BANDS from amazon. Like $12-13 for 100 of them...will some break in your luggage yes, will they work for 1 night only (for the most part) but a fun way to tag your stroller at night to find it. It is dark in those stroller areas so adding them to your handle is NICE to find it...Also Bring carabiners the "d" shape ones allow for the widest opening and the bent clip...or wire clip...good for hats, bags, COFFEE MUGS...I would always have a carabiner on my bag to hold my Mickey Coffee mug so I can take my coffee to the park for opening and would just rinse it later in a sink or fountain to clean it off...same goes for some reusable water bottles...

Anybody going and staying in Disney resorts you get to go to the parks 30mins early. But what they do is you can go in the parks a hours before just have to wait tell 8:30 to go on the rides. I was able to ride test track 2 all before 9:30

Yes, our current is roughly half the strength of yours. This is also why Brits think we’re idiots for not using electric kettles to boil water for tea near-instantly. Ours just don’t have the power you’re used to. 😁

It’s a good idea to take a lot of clothes as a shirt would cost you $35.00. Also some people get burnt and need to have a cream that heals burns. Good to bring a first aid kit, savlon, voltarine, vasoline cotton buds, Aero guard roller, re usable shopping bags to carry your shopping and travel power adapter.
