My wife and I went there on our 10th anniversary back when the park opened in 1998. We’re going again next month for our 36th anniversary… Many fond memories
Don't miss the Animation Experience! We drew "Scar" from he Lion King and it was a blast. An animator teaches you, step by step, how to draw a Disney character. I don't know of anything that is more at the heart of Disney than this experience. We loved it! Makes for a nice souvenir. (Mine was the best of our family's efforts, as voted on by....me! LOL)
That’s great! We drew the bird, ZaZu. I was so surprised that my young kid did a better job than me, but I was equally impressed! 😄 Her drawing is on my refrigerator right now!
You're not the first person to feel uncomfortable saying "Keep your eyes peeled." Tilly made the same observation last week on "Star Trek: Discovery". The sad news is, that means the phrase outlives us all. LOL
One of the trips there, the macaws all collectively decided they were over it, and went off to cause mischief instead. Mad props to the cast members who were very patiently trying to coax them all to come back.
I love animal kingdom theme park one of my favorite theme parks at Disney world I remember going there for the first time back in 2003 and then again in 2004 and then again in 2021 when they did the 50th anniversary celebration so much fun lots of amazing memories that will last forever and ever just so forever grateful for that ❤
I love getting a coffee and just going to the area of the tree of life right before the entrance to Africa! It's super peaceful there and there's turtles!!
Wanted to share another fun hidden thing in AK, but when you're in the outside line for Flight of Passage behind the floating rocks there is a crevice in one of the farthest rocks to the right where Ikrans (banshees) are hanging out in. They are small to seem like the rocks are far away. I noticed it first time in line, but my family thought I was lying until I pointed it out at a different part in the line.
The Flaska Reclinata looks like a space ship that crash landed and got reclaimed by nature, but it also burst open when it crashed which let the plant life of Pandora intertwine with microscopic life that was inside the ship. And when it sprays water on you it's actually using you as a pollen transporter
❤️ LOVE all your videos but the long ones are so enjoyable and helpful! Thanks for this one on AK! You are the best TH-cam one stop for all things Disney info, tips, tricks, and food! ….and Y’all are so funny with your puns etc!
15:58 as far as the Dinoland re-theme to the Tropical Americas… figurines of dinosaurs were found in Mexican cultures. And there are burial stones with ancient indian dinosaur drawings on them found in Peru. Kind of curious to think about, considering this most likely dates back to before dinosaur was even a coined term. Just saying that those sculptures can still fit in the Tropical Americas if you really wanted them to
What’s funny is it is the largest park (I think all of the other parks can fit into AK?) because the backstage area where they take care of the animals!
Hey DFB! I was wondering if you guys had any information on when Disney would bring back their Charmed in the Park charms and bracelets? Or if they are even going to be coming back? I'm going to DisneyWorld again this summer and would love to know if I should bring my bracelet or not! Thank you so much!
OH MY GOODNESS, I had one of those!!! MEMORIES!!! Unfortunately, Charmed in the Park charms haven’t been around for a while now 😩 There’s still lots of types of Disney jewelry you can pick up at the gift shops, though - and the Pandora charm bracelets are still available too!
I have a tradition where every time I go to Disney, I take a photo of myself holding a Night Blossom. My favorite drink at Disney… can’t wait to have it again soon!
I don’t think so, I’ve heard mixed reports. If you’re not rushing give it a try but if you’re serious about rope dropping and getting to pandora or wherever first then don’t risk it
Animal Kingdom is my Monday (first full day) park when I go. I love DinoLand and hate to see it go. It is fun theming (1960's roadside attraction, including Burma Shave style signs). Dinosaur can fit into the America land since DinoSue was found in North Dakota. But I wander what will happen to all the artifacts displayed there at present.
The My Disney Experience must have been watching, because they now have the locations of the charging stations in all parks! Feathered Friends in Flight is an amazing show with great cast (birds and people!) and a great place to sit down and rest in shade! Hoping they keep bar tender, Jimmy, from Restaurantosaurus at the newly designed area! The gift shop at Expedition Everest used to sell "prayer flags," but no longer - wonder why - culturally inappropriate?
Animal Kingdom is probably my favorite park. I just love the chill vibes which is why I have chosen that park for my birthday. Cant wait to see all the animals
Indiana Jones would be more appropriate for Hollywood Studios because the movies mainly focused on people. Encanto MIGHT work because it gave a lot more focus on animals than Indiana Jones did...I personally think they should keep DinoLand-just rip out the carnival part and turn it into an attraction themed to prehistoric mammals.
I think they're probably changing it cuz it has the same ride system as dinosaur and that makes it easier to build on that rather than tearing it down and putting in a new ride. That being said I hope the new ride is good and well themed!
They are adding Indiana Jones to Animal Kingdome because it goes with the idea of Indiana Jones in the Jungle. However, Indiana Jones Stunt Show goes more with the idea of Hollywood Studios because its focused on showing how the stunts are done and how Indiana Jones is made. I never really took a focus on Dino Land as it is not anything to do with Disney.
Funny you mentioned the phrase "keeping your eyes peeled." The gross aspect of the phrase was recently mentioned on a Star Trek: Discovery episode! Thanks for all the hints!
Please don't take away. It's tough to be a bug. There's so much theming that revolves around that ride and the tree of life itself zootopia like please no one cares. How will that make? Any sense that I'm shrunk down to the size of an insect?
Aha,,,so we sat down on rocks at the Pandora drums and waited for a little drum play....we sat ....and sat....and sat....and waited...and waited...but no drummers......so now we know why NO more drummers.....sad.....
I'll be there in 31 days I went there 2 years ago and I went to the character meal I went there 2 years ago and I brought all the food to the table I am definitely going to animal Kingdom
Why am I obsessed and love Disney’s Dinosaur? I practically grew up watching Dinosaur, and it’s where I got my childhood love for dinosaurs. And it’s my all-time favorite Disney film. Since the company was going to replace DinoLand U.S.A. by turning it into the new South American land with Encanto and my number one favorite ride DINOSAUR was going to transform into an Indiana Jones ride and I was NOT happy about it. I have so obsessed with dinosaurs since I watched one of the Disney movies that had dinosaurs and I certainly did NOT ask Disney to replace DinoLand USA because I've tried to tell everyone that the dinosaurs are always part of the animal kingdom, but unfortunately, they did not listen. I really hate getting ignored and people should've known that the dinosaurs are NOT monsters, they're animals.

This is SO awesome. 💖
You're going to have such a good time! 🎉 Some more really cool things to do now too!
I hope y'all had a lovely trip!

12:00 omg! there's a renaissance fair in North Carolina, and they have a Green Man that walks on those stilts too!
Really? I live in SC, near Charlotte NC… where is the fair with the Green Man? TIA
My husband proposed to me on the discovery island trails back in 2021, best day ever! 🌳❤️🐾
Was a very imaginative kid and “keep your eyes peeled” always brought viscerally upsetting imagery to mind lol
It’s always fun to learn new things about my favorite park.

Ha AJ I feel your pain with Up! Such a fantastic cartoon, but wow the tears do come!
Animal Kingdom is a much better park than Hollywood Studios
HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE, TODAY IS OFF TO AN AWESOME START. MY CAT PEACHES HAD KITTENS AND I'M ALMOST TO LEVEL 7,400 in TOY BLAST
Yeah peaches
Yep
Make sure to get those kittens spayed/neutered before adopting them out!!!! The world does not need more feral cats out there.
They would be spayed or neutered. They're gonna be farm cats and they won't be adopted
YAY, PEACHES! WE LOVE CATS!
My favorite park by far!! Relaxing and not super large compared to the others.
What’s funny is it is the largest park (I think all of the other parks can fit into AK?) because the backstage area where they take care of the animals!
Remember when they launched AK and the entire campaign revolved around the slogan "It's not a zoo!"?
AK and Epcot are my favorite parks ❤️
We seem to be kindred spirits 💖
Elite Disney opinion
AK Epcot and Hollywood are my favorites!!
What a wealth of interesting details, thank you!
Thank YOU!!

I can still remember ordering it for the first time when Pandora first opened! SO magical!
AK is my second favorite park behind EPCOT! 😀
Can we utilize the secret rainforest cafe park entrance for early entry?
I don’t think so, I’ve heard mixed reports. If you’re not rushing give it a try but if you’re serious about rope dropping and getting to pandora or wherever first then don’t risk it
The path at beginning looked like the same path shot for Pandora to Africa. Am I nutty?
Animal kingdom is my favorite park. I am extremely excited to take my girls to this park. My plan is to take them there before magic kingdom.
“The Lion King celebration will last until September 6”…my first ticket is September seven 😒
AK is probably my second favorite park behind EPCOT? I can't understand why anyone would skip it, but please do because I hate long lines.

The Feather Friends in Flight show is amazing! There is another fun bird show that happens near the tree of life.
It was so cool when the beautiful Macaws swooped overhead.
Love this park!! FYI the hyenas are actually no longer at AK.
I’ve allocated 2 full days for each park, but I don’t want to rush about.. I want to enjoy myself lol
Animal Kingdom is probably my favorite park. I just love the chill vibes which is why I have chosen that park for my birthday. Cant wait to see all the animals
I adore Animal Kingdom! It’s the most peaceful of the Parks, and of course, The Nomad🍹😎
😆. Love the puns AJ. 😆
Also Canada waterfall in Epcot!

Don’t blame ya 😅

The'e;s an ibex! (or at least there used to be...)
I love animal kingdom at DisneyLand and Disney World it was my favorite but I would like to find Kaa’s tree
