    My husband worked at a housing authority that was overrun with bed bugs, they terrify me after everything he has told me. You can look for the bugs but when you look at the mattress you need to look for rust/dark red stains which is blood from the bedbugs those are easier to see. He inspects everything and I love him for it. I will say your dryer is the bed bugs enemy.

    I’ll second the DO NOT SLEEP ON THE DISCOUNTS comment. We saw Disney was offering the included Dining plan after we booked. We had to call because our room didn’t qualify but we ended up getting a better room, WITH dining plan, for about $300 less than we were originally paying without it. My wife conferenced me in with the Disney cast member doing the reservation because she was sure she was making a mistake. That evening we sat down to make sure we hadn’t fallen for a sneaky disney scam. Still convinced we missed something

    Stays at Shades of Green also qualifies for extended evening hours. When my boyfriend and I went to Disney in November we stopped at a grocery store on our way to our hotel (I always rent a car) and bought a box of Cheerios and some small boxes of milk - between the two of us finished it in the week we were there. I also brought fruit. He doesn't drink coffee so I grabbed a cup each morning from Joffreys.

      It really depends. My boyfriend is 100% disabled so he got the rate for active service members, which was about the same as Pop Century preferred room with a discount. He loved the pool. It is not at all Disney bright - actually the hallways were quite drab. I am an early riser so the extended evening hours benefit which was not applicable during our stay was moot. If you are an early riser and want any other park than Magic Kingdom you have to rely on their buses - or tack on another $30 for parking at the park. There is no resort fee but a $22/night fee to park the time we were there. I split my stay with Pop Century so I was able to park at the parks free every day but one. The food is supposed to be more affordable but I found the quick service price in line with Landscape of Flavors - with far less selection.

    Visiting Disney seems like such an annoying science. Last time I was there in eighth grade, we bought tickets at the gate Christmas Eve Day 1978, basically had the run of the place, and rode Space Mountain five times in a row with no line. I don't think my brother and I waited in any lines that day. Couldn't bring ourselves to deal with all the complications when our kids were of age in the 2000s-2010s. They were just as happy walking the beach on Sanibel Island and collecting shells every year. Way cheaper and better family time. But if you want to navigate the options, all the best. We all do things differently.

Will you take that into account? Disney? I’ve lost out Wellyn truly what would you rather do if you were UK citizen and holiday in Florida would you rather stay for two days on Disney property or two weeks on international Drive? I know which will be a better holiday cause because when you book a holiday in the UK you can buy your park tickets over here two weeks pass or cost you about £600 for a two week pass and that’s a park hopper so you can go on Disney

    Hi! This is probably a personal preference question, but I'm booking for a 9-day trip at the end of the summer....booking tonight to be exact. Notably, I have family staying at Beach Club. Any wisdom to help me choose would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance! Here are the choices....Fireworks-view at the Dolphin (logistically probably the best). "Preferred"-view room at Carribean Beach, and a deluxe suite at Old Key West are the other too choices. Also keep in mind that I've already stayed at Dolphin and OKW, but I really liked both. Lemme know please!

    • @SerenityNowTS
      @SerenityNowTS 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      If it were me, Dolphin would be my first choice and Caribbean last choice. At the Dolphin, you’ll get deluxe perks, and be in walking distance to HS and EPCOT (plus boat transportation to both). Dolphin has the cool grotto pool and free Swan pedal boats, and you’ll have far more table service and quick service options at that location than at Caribbean or OKW. You’d be a short walk from your family staying at Beach Club. And if /when you go to MK, walk to Boardwalk and use their bus because that one will take you right to the MK entrance. The Dolphin’s bus will drop you off at TTC, which adds more time. No matter where you stay, with 9 days at Disney, you’ll have so much fun! 😊

      @@SerenityNowTS Thanks so much for the response! The food and the quick walk are definitely key. I was thinking that I could take the Skyliner to Epcot from CB to get to Beach Club relatively quickly, but if the skyliner breaks down, that would be pretty inconvenient. I'll probably flip a coin between Dolphin and OKW(because we go to Disney Springs alot). Thanks again!

    I’m sorry, but your bit about using the refillable mugs at other resorts is a little contradictory…. Earlier in the video it was mentioned that you can’t visit another resort unless you have dinner reservations. So how can I resort-hop & use my cup ?

    • @jeffstanley6013
      @jeffstanley6013 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      The dinner reservation example was for "if you're driving your own car." Entry to a hotel's parking lot is restricted to that hotel's guests or for dining reservations. Otherwise, you can use the other transportation options (monorail, bus, boat, skyliner) to move freely between the hotels.

      2:15 explains how you get from one resort to another .. take a bus from your resort to Disney Springs and transfer to a bus going to the resort of your choice.

      Also, I don’t think she was suggesting that you should go out of your way to fill your cup with coffee or soda. She was just letting us know of our options in case you’re in that area.

    When will pool closures be posted for 2025? We are planning on staying at Caribbean Beach in Jan 2025. I am hoping they won’t close the pool again like they are this year Jan-Apr. is there less chance of it being closed again since they are doing a longer close this year?

    Idk, I'd rather hear "scratchy Disney music" than what I would swear sounded like someone torturing Alvin and the Chipmunks when I'd reserve a self-serve (basically, picks me up at my house) bus...I always treated that like a video game; First "music" was just some piano, not very good on the phone either...Level 2 was slightly different, and level 3...Chipmunk squealing.
    I'd normally have to deal with at least up to that before I finally got off hold and reserved my ride/s.

    Furthermore to the smoking point, smoke from cigarettes can trigger fire alarms. Thats the last thing you want happening at Disney, as they take fire alarms extremely seriously

    We went back in December, and we were fine until an older family checked in next door. Nothing wrong with a neighbor until they decided to start smoking some MJ, and we have a 9 year old. I didn't want to be a Karen to the front desk (my first sentence to the cast member), but they were more than accommodating to move us to another room.

      Apparently, it’s never going to reopen, according to the SoG website. The construction will last until 2027, and the road will then be a “4 lane highway, with no crosswalk”, and no sidewalks, and security won’t allow guests to walk across. Major bummer.
