It's so important not to erase Anderson.Paak--and yet, so many if the YT reviews do (not that he cares I'm sure). .Paak is on drums always and likely doing the percussive arrangements (though production credits don't yet mention instrumental arrangements like old school liner notes used to). The group dance is clearly, for those of us who know/remember, a version of the Hustle on skates, updated with a twerk-influenced twist.

The strings & glockenspiel (bells), used in more upbeat jams, like the string background on Aint No Stoppin Us, that happens behind that chorus. Almost the exact same riff is the string line in the intro, just slightly different rhythmic placement. Good call!

We had all kinds of group skate dance contests! The reason they are dropping singles with time in between is that they making you wait so you fall in love with each song! Baby Boomers know what anticipation is and how it builds to make someone or something memorable. That doesn't happen very much in present-day with all the instant gratification. "Smelling better than a BBQ" refers to how happy folks get when they are going to a BBQ and they smell all the good smells, knowing they are going to have a relaxing, fun day and even a day where they might meet some special. Props for having REAL WOMEN in the video instead of video vixens with them fake booties and boobs. Real women are pretty too! Skating was HUGE in the 70s! Anderson Paak is amazing -- drumming and singing at the same time is difficult. Bruno is really showcasing Anderson with the Silk Sonic songs which are awesome and something artists of his stature don't readily do. Anderson's talent is freaking awesome but he has not had the exposure Bruno has. Silk Sonic is changing that! Love this video, all the 70's vibe again like their prior video; the bicycle, VW Bug, Bus, and delivery truck, the girls' rollerskates, their outfits, the congas, instruments, and even the fan in the background - all legit 1970s. Bruno Mars is at his best with the 70's vibe and is extremely detail-oriented when staging his videos and camera work. Did you notice how the camera blurs out Bruno to give Anderson the focus? This song reminds me of the boys in high school in the '70s going to Ocean Beach in San Francisco every day after school and jamming!
