The validity of this is really felt the first time you try this exercise. It's mind blowing the difference between how you THINK you come off VS how you ACTUALLY come off.
Hey Julian. You literally were for the past 2 years my savior haha, now i'm working in sales thanks to you. I thought that I had figured it all and didn't need your help anymore, but what you give is just so BIG that whatever state in life you are, it will always help you, as this video does. Thanks a lot !
Bro! I’m about to do an online course next days and I was super nervous about going on camera naturally just speaking from my own authenticity. Thanks a lot for sharing this it will help a bunch
A thousand years is but an instant. There's nothing new, nothing different; same pattern over and over. The same clouds, same music, the same things I felt an hour or an eternity ago. There's nothing here for me now, nothing at all. Now I remember, this happened to me before. This is why I left. You have begun to find your answers. Although it will seem difficult the rewards will be great. Exercise your human mind as fully as possible knowing that it is only an exercise. Build beautiful artifacts, solve problems, explore the secrets of the physical universe, savor the input from all the senses, filled with joy and sorrow and laughter, empathy, compassion, and tote the emotional memory in your travel bag. I remember where I came from, and how I became human, why I hung around, and now my final departure's scheduled. This way out, escaping velocity. Not just eternity, but Infinity.
I think that just talking helps the brain develop the skills. It is like lifting weights for the brain. I’ve often suspected that doing something like this could help depression, because depression saps my ability to do anything active like that. Ok, now to try this exercise. I also love learning foreign languages, but actually speaking them scares the crap out of me. I might try to do some of the videos in foreign languages as well. Thank you.
Not to get too gassed up but yo. I just did this for the first time and Im surprised at how entertaining I was, even though I thought I was boring and babbling. Kinda eye opening ngl. Like fr.. Cant wait to do this again in a couple days 💯
Great Exercise Julien! With your videos you helped me so much to improve my social skills. Now my self-confidence is on another level. You do a great job! Greetings from Germany
Damn, thanks for showing that old clip. I just made my first attempt at recording a YT video, and it's crazy how much that clip reflects how I look and sound. It's like I knew exactly what you were feeling and thinking, cause I was too. It's always hard to look at yourself like that, cause you think "Have I always looked and sounded like this... fuck" and you almost want to just remain ignorant to it from there on out to avoid self embarrassment. My natural tenancy for most things is to immediately assume "ah well I guess I'm not good at this either" when in reality, the more I do it, the better I'll get.
Great Exercise Julien! Thankyou again ! For your valuable life experience turned lesson turned first step to Becoming Extro version of ourselves. Exploring and Sharing and keep doing it till you cross the threshold . 🙏🙂
3:05 I once was trying to announce my stop loudly from the back of a shared taxi van so that the driver could hear me, and a woman made a remark: "That's not how you should speak" meaning that I was speaking too quietly to be heard, but I first intetpreted it as her saying that I was too loud. I really felt like I was yelling.
This reminds me of the movie Avatar when Jake had to record video logs and at first he felt weird doing it and didn't know what to say but later on he got into the groove.
heya Julien, really appreciate the amazing content. one thing I've realised is that letting go is a gradual process, so although i see how it benefits me in the long run (it definitely has uptill now) it slows down my social success in the short run. for instance if im processing the fear of loneliness, ill be more stifled/nervous during that period than i was before i brought that fear up. ive not seen you address this, or anyone asking this, so im curious and would be grateful to know your opinion on what one can do to get good results in the short run while simultaneously letting and becoming a SOCIAL MASTER!
True transformation is not a linear process of "getting better and better", there are ups and downs... Especially when you're bringing up into your awareness things that have previously been suppressed. But this is the only way to TRULY change! 👌
Haha my whole life of experience and memories is probably not enough information for me to be able to talk 1 hour. Tried this before. Had to cut it to 5 min. If I was in the funk, did 7-8 and was so proud. Did improve delivery, tonality, body language a lot. But not the ability to think of things to say.
Thanks for posting the old video. I noticed in it you sound all nasally - just like me. Thought this might be a permanent thing, but it seems you overcame it by unstifling?
Hey Julien, this has nothing to do with the video but i thought you could maybe help me. I have autism so i have a really hard time identifying my emotions (i feel emotions like happiness, sadness, annoyment and fear) and i also struggle remembering things from the past and connect them with any emotion. Do you know how i could improve my sensitivity towards my feelings or do you have any idea what i should do?
I would advise you to try meditation. Just sit there with your thoughts and the amount of emotions that you feel. Really take them in and try to figure out which emotion is which. Julian is big on meditation too so I assume he'd possibly give you the same advice in terms of feeling. Hope it helps!

1 hour podcast every week for 2 months. Treat it as if it is a professional podcast that you wil drop online. You can prep the subject before IF you like. After its done rewatch and anylyze it,ask yourself how it could be improved example :look at the way you say Xjoke/Xstory keep asking yourself would I watch this? Am I hooked or why was I hooked an now not anymore? If it is easy 2 do 1 a week then do it twice a week.
Hey Julian, great exercice, I've been practicing for a few weeks and it's start to pay. I'm going to travel in a few weeks and I was wondering, how would you do it when you are 24h/24h with people surrounding ?
@@nonenone2669 i sometimes fake that im recording an audio but im just talking to myself xd

24h? You can't even go away for 20 minutes and do your thing? Is it that radical? If it's not, just tell them you are going to to something. Or even tell them the truth, why should you cate about what they think? (I know, for me it would be hard too)
Very interesting! I just did this and it's quite eye opening, I actually found myself getting bored at times while watching, is this whats supposed to happen since I know what I'm about to say since I just recorded it? or is it because my delivery is boring?
THIS CONTENT IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love this. don't stop ever. I feel so dumb watching this because it's so obvious and simple
tbh man i love you but the gucci thing feels out of character. I mean maybe it's just my perception but it's usually people who want to impress who buy those.
Great video bro, haven’t been watching a lot of your stuff since it’s kinda the same stuff. Hoping to see a lot more og type content from 4-5 years go. You being out in nature things like that. Probably not gonna happen since you a dad now. But damn those were some inspirational, state changing, perspective shifting videos. Much love
For some people its absolutely impossible task to do, when not being able to speak about something for 5 minutes yet 1 hour. Hideous presence, body language so far behind and insecurities rooted in subconscious soo bad that you wont see shit after a year of struggling to "improve". Not everyone can just "let go" and magically not remain extremely creepy or stiff boring person.
I can't stand 99% of people. It's rare when someone's voice doesn't annoy me, and even rarer when I want to hear what they have to say. I don't watch podcasts or netflix, I follow one sports team and that's the only irrelevant content I consume, everything else is learning materials for my project. Only thing I care about is escaping 9-5 slavery, social skills to interact with a clown show world isn't high on my priorities. After seeing them all putting on masks, standing in lines and taking injections I'm disgusted really by my own species. Last thing I want to do is talk to these NPC's.
Eventful content? Anything I could say about this life, would be censored to be acceptable to present to a dumbed down controlled and enslaved populace. You know, the actual truths which are not accepted. Or maybe you don't know, and if you don't know, does that make you special, or me.
