I wonder why they offer a stage one cam in this instance since the stage two made the same low speed power and more top end. Gen V motors are impressive.

My version of a gen III 5.3 to be sorta comparable to the Gen 5 is to make it a 347, raise the compression to 10.4, improve the quench, a BTR stage 1 truck cam, 706 heads with 2" intakes, proper valve job, some minor valve unshrouding, porting and thermal barrier coated valves, TBSS intake, Long tube headers, 6.2L sized exhaust & cats behind the headers. Daily driver Tahoe. Waiting on the heads and machine work now.

VVT allows the increase in power at the top with maintaining the low rpm torque. Now we just need variable intake runner length as the hemi has now for even better numbers.

Stage 2 cam for me. No torque loss down to 2500 rpm.
The Gen V's are so good, you should hunt down an LV3 and test it against an old 4.8. Then do a Big Bang Turbo test with it to see how the split pin crank does. I bet you can't break it.

Now we have options for dod, vvt, and Di deletes with port injection conversion with a ls7 intake. If adding a turbo, upgrading pistons, rods, cam, lifters, head ported holley efi should i go with the full delete of everything and ls7 port injection? The guys at BTR not have an LT2 intake? Watched a couple videos where they make more power than an MSD gen5 intake up to 6000rpm and more peak power and torque on a stock 2019 camaro. They need a tiny bit of work to work but are $1000 less than the MSD intake. The Map sensor needs extended and brake vacuum port and valley vent are issues, but it will work with your super sneaky cowl induction.

The kit comes with the cam, upgraded valve springs, pushrods, and the phaser limiter with tool, and i'm curious do these kits act as a afm/dod delete as well or do i have to get the different lifters, and trays, and all the other stuff first before doing the cam swap or can these cams run with afm/dod still active.
