@5:02 this cheap TH-cam video / AI voice called this TV "Oiled" 😂😂😂
I have a 65 inch C3...incredible tv
C3 is a great TV, but the S90C flexes a little more muscle with the QD OLED panel. S90C is also a slightly better gaming TV. I think the A80L is a distant 3rd.
From all reports the C3 has better black levels then the S90C
@@mycolortv1 that was on the 1st gen panels. The 2nd gen are a game changer. LG will need to add MLA to compete with the QD OLEDs.
It also flexes burn in very fast due to the panel having to push harder to get brighter the lack of a white sub pixel ruins the panel fast rtings showed burn in within 4 months after use
@@RagingGrinch-TechGaming that was on 1st gen panels and under the most extreme situations
According to this video the c3 is a better gaming tv
I have 77" s90c since last year black friday $2300, between the 2, the s90c was called by most TV reviewer better than C3. Rting review gave it a slight advantage because of s90c brightness and color intensity.
I prefer realistic color presentation on my tv. That leaves the a90c out. To each their own.
@@pubmeatman What is the a90c? I bought the S89C and it is an amazing TV. QD OLED is better than WOLED. Just plain truth...
@@pubmeatmanthank you! Can’t believe how many ppl want to blast their eyes with Samsung’s over saturated bright ass colors.
@@trewright1482s89c is a Best Buy exclusive, costing a few hundred less than the s90c. They are both quite similar with the s89c being slightly different. I honestly forget how, but it’s negligible. Consider yourself having an s90c or do some research.
I just bought the 77" S90C. I haven't taken it out of the box yet but I bought it after researching for four months and I'm excited. I hated dropping that much money on it but hopefully it will last a long time.
Take it back and get the S89C from Best Buy at $1799. The S89C is Best Buy Exclusive and only comes in 77 inch. It’s the same TV as the S90. Only difference is the stand. Do your research.
Got an S90C a couple days ago as well. The image quality is spectacular. I haven't been as impressed with a display since the Pioneer plasma days. But yeah unless you happened to get an extremely good deal on it, the S89C is the same TV for cheaper. Well, minus the metal part for the base.
@trewright1482 I got mine 2 weeks ago. The 77" s89c is a little known secret that many people don't know about. A QD-oled at this size for $1800 is a steal.
Mine died after 3 months of normal use. Froze, then never turned on again. Warranty is a must.
@@Tphive I did quite a bit of research and that's the first I've heard of that happening. That sucks. I'm sorry that happened to your tv.
the problem is , i need one for my room on my ps5 qnd 55 inch is to big , i have to go for the lg since it,s offer 42 inch
You made it sound like the s90c doesn't have hdmi 2.1 at the end ? All 4 are hdmi 2.1 on the s90c too!
At 8:55 I think you meant to say 'LG C3' for better cinematic experience, and the 'S90C' is the ideal choice for gaming enthusiasts, right?!
One Connect box is useless for anyone with a sound system powered by an AVR.
I would have bought the S90C except that Samsung will just nerf the performance at the first update
No nerfs on the c series so far
There have been plenty of updates since the TV came out almost a year ago and nothing has changed in terms of image quality. The internet is so crazy. A company does something once and suddenly that's "just what they do..."
Right. What's really weird is how they know just to update the tvs that have been bought and leave the ones not purchased alone, right?
Exactly! Some updates are so noticeable in the downgrading of color and brightness that it’s infuriating.
have you turned off your ambient light detection function?@@juanfavela6597
Funny, how many people talk, and complain how dark Oled is, and don’t do well in bright conditions !!!, yet !!!, they all look very, very good, in a brightly lit, Costco, or Best Buy !!! And !!!, it seems all these videos aren’t shot in dark settings, and they seem to do well there also. I worry more about image retention, or burn in than brightness.
nits?
A measurement of brightness. 1 nit = 1 cd/m²
Which one is best for anime?
Probably the S90C since it will make colors more vivid due to a qd-oled panel. But imo go with the C3 and leave it on vivid mode since color accuracy don't really matter a whole lot for anime.
@gio3300 Vivid mode is trash on any TV. Either use an oled monitor laptop, cell phone, and try to adjust the colors on the TV according to the exact images on both devices or get Quantum TV's settings. I did my own thing for my X90L via oled monitor, and it wasn't that hard. It was my first TV in 14yrs, and I have never done something like this before.
@asole100 vivid is a trash setting for about everything. I just like it better for anime/cartoons since I personally like colors popping out much more. Other than that, I leave my tvs on custom mode.
@@gio3300 That's exactly why I said what I said. The colors will pop more if you do it the way I explained.
@asole100 I've calibrated my a80j for the purpose of purely anime watching several times from recommend calibration settings. Still didn't feel it popping out as much imo. So I just left it on vivid for just anime content.
I am a negative complaining spoilt consumer but the S90c doesn't make me furious. This only after calibration of course and purches of a decent Sonos surround system.
...and I hate the remote
hard to ingore that the views are biased.
Nets 😂
Guys c3 is the best
Knowledge gain to TH-cam best but don’t choose go showroom then see Lg c3 ❤
Oled tv quality is best lg
And qled is best Qled
Went to a show room last week the s90c is better than the c3 watched them side by side 🙃 even the guy in the shop had a c3 told me I’d be better off getting an s90c
@TheBossC Except it's low bit rate upscaling is trash. Otherwise I would pick it.
The fact that Samsung refuses to support Dolby Vision means LG for the win.
Spoken like someone who gets all of their information from "them"...
Yep, even Amazon dropped DV as it is a complete waste and money grab
@@trewright1482 Dolby Vision is objectively better than HDR10. Here is an excellent comparison video:
th-cam.com/video/voePq29-U6M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=S7drb4GRAvrjr-oh
Now, DV vs. HDR10+ is a different story. I'm sure the differences are very small. However...I could be wrong, but I see a lot more 4K blu ray movies utilizing DV over HDR10+. I'm not into streaming, so for me what matters the most is in regards to 4k blu rays.
Going back to my original comment, the fact that Samsung ONLY supports HDR10+ is basically giving the consumer the middle finger and deciding for them what to use. Whereas other TV brands, such as TCL, support Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HDR10+. Thus giving the consumer more options and control.
@@stephenpatterson8056 I get my information from doing research and critical thinking...you should try it sometime.
@redpillthinking6043 That comparison is old news. Literally. It's years old lol. When comparing DV to HDR 10 on an old woled panel with peak brightness of like 700 nits, then yeah you'll see a difference. On a qd-oled however, with its much wider color volume and substantially higher peak brightness capabilities, the benefits of DV go down dramatically. DV was created to aid lesser capable hardware (early gen oled, low tier LCDs, cinema projectors) in better displaying HDR content by bringing the content down to the display's level, so to speak. It's a crutch used to aid display methods that aren't natively capable of properly displaying an HDR10 image. There are other inherent hypothetical benefits to DV, namely 10 bit color and 4000 nit peak brightness. But obviously neither of those matter given the current state of display tech now or even over the course of the next several years
another bad review. i don't want 77" tv for overprice vs another overprice tv. i need to 55 and lower models to comparison. this is might be my first oled tv for reasonable price. or i just use my oculus quest 3 for movies
samsung could never beat LG in OLED technology.
It already has
