That final battle was a good one. When these droppa-lords didn't get sniped and zerglings first nearly got the Twilight Council and then later the next batch did, I thought the Zerg would win, but Hero countered this really well.

Question, in game 1 why does Dark try to put the proxy hatch perfectly like an expo, wouldn't it better to partially block the expo so he is able to place it ever so quicker?
If you put it in the actual expand spot, and are fast enough, you can cancel the hatch and *instantly* place an evo chamber on the patch of creep left behind. Now, you *could* still save a half-second by placing it earlier and positioning it so that both a hatch and an evo can block half of the nexus, but when you're only glancing at places for moments while microing on other sides of the map, there's a chance that you don't place the initial hatch right and the evo chamber isn't in the right position to block the nexus.
Basically, it's easier to play *faster* over-all when you're doing the thing you trained yourself to do. No one tries to intentionally misplace their own expansions, so in practice it's easier and more efficient to default to the standard placement of a base even if there's theoretically a minor bonus to placing it elsewhere. Human habit/ error and all that.

This gane would of been over. I would of built lair with overlord speed. Dropped lings and banglings at his main and taken out the probes and nexus.

Hmm, unless Dark was completely out of larvae and missed his injects, it almost feels like that GG was a bit premature. He was edging ahead in the economy with that new base going up, still had minerals in the bank, and was in a reasonable position to continue harassment across the map with the dropperlords. Definitely not the best position he could've been in, but didn't seem like a guaranteed loss.
