    Why do you don't integrate that into the Venu 2? It's essential!

    I have had multiple high intensive runs but my training status are still blank. I have had my watch for 3 weeks now - Fenix 6x. Also the vo2max so far only have updated once despite many runs ( 5k, 10k out doors with gps and heart rate done ) after the first update. Is there anything wrong I have been doing that prevent both figures get updated?

    Great video. Thank you. Unfortunately, my experience with Training Effect has not been so great. I ride or run every day without fail, mixing easy and hard efforts and averaging 12 hours a week. My Garmin regularly tells me I'm 'detraining' (despite the fact that, for example, I have 400 intensity minutes that week). Then, the next day it will say that I'm 'overtraining'. Or that my fitness is 'peaking' at random, and counter-intuitive, intervals. I was hopeful that TE would be an easy guide to improvement, but it feels more like a set of random indications. On a separate note, is Garmin going to use HRV as a measure of fitness and preparation with watches in the way that Whoop does? The Garmin watches can take that measurement: why not passively take measurements and use that data to assist athletes in their training?

    Is the training effect only on certain models? I have the Vivo 3 music version but don’t see that feature.

      Thank you for your question. The vivoactive 3 music does not support the Training Effect feature. Most Forerunners, Fenix watches, and Edge Cycling Computers do support this feature.

    Does anyone know if the stress measurement function uses any of the info on your profile, like gender, weight, height, age, etc. Wanting to have a friend who is much taller than me, and is a man (I am a woman). He is wanting to measure his stress during certain situations and to determine if a watch like my Vivoactive would benefit him. Thanks.

    Why is it that even on my easy runs it still says I’m doing an aerobic workout? I can’t seem to hit the anaerobic zone no matter how slow I go unless I walk.

    • @GarminRetailTraining
      @GarminRetailTraining  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your question. Aerobic and Anaerobic Training Effect can be somewhat confusing. For starters, it really depends on fitness level. Below are some links on aerobic vs. anaerobic training effect. In short, the aspect of performance most easily associated with anaerobic training effect is your ability to perform short bursts of sustained high-intensity activity. With that said, low-intensity activities or even walking wouldn't produce any anaerobic benefits, although it could help your aerobic training effect. Again, this is relative based on your fitness level. I hope this helps.

    What is compatible training devices? Does it work for strength training?

    • @stefansondergaard
      @stefansondergaard 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd say yes: I do hard lifting - one set to failure on different lifts and pushes - it's kind of HIIT. Have to use puls strap to get correct readings. Set my Fenix 5s to Eliptical training. Use training effect readings from this setting. Works well.

      @@stefansondergaard so traning effect works on strength training also? Is it accurate?

    • @stefansondergaard
      @stefansondergaard ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brucelin5842 I believe it is quite accurate. Now I have a Garmin Instinct 2, which gives a lot of additional data for sleep quality, heart rate variability and other parameters. But still training effect (I even use the elliptical setting for sauna sessions), seem to give useful data. Also the number of hours, that I'm supposed to rest until training hard again, is a very important information.

      Thank you for your comment. The Forerunner 935 has the Training Effect feature. You can add Training Effect as a data field to one of your training screens to monitor your numbers throughout the activity. I hope this helps. www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/forerunner935/EN-US/GUID-7275629E-743A-4658-A284-C84F42A66AE5.html

    Hello. You say it is possible to display training effect during the activity. Are you sure this is possible? I'm using Fenix 5 plus and the only way to view training effect is after you finish activity and save it. I can't find any information how to display it during activity.

    • @GarminRetailTraining
      @GarminRetailTraining  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your question. You can add Training Effect as a data field to one of your training screens to monitor your numbers throughout the activity. Training Effect is found under the Heart Rate data when customizing your data fields. The following link has step by step instructions on how to customize the data screens for your Fenix 5. I hope this helps. www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/fenix5/EN-US/GUID-638CD68D-11B0-4D9C-B8B7-E28D15EC4566.html
