Hey at least informed players know what's good and what needs researching. Steam seems to be the cheapest place to get PC games and is like the main hub. I'm sure further updates will be made in the future to better filter out stuff.

There are a load of ways to see what a game is before you buy it. agree it's bad even seeing this stuff, but it's really much better than the previous few years where you had to be a huge corp to get a game out.

+36Rza I don't see that myself, he is active in the comments and as long as you give him honest criticism about the content in a non abusive way he will respond in kind. Someone criticised his last jimquisition for the weird pog sex scene (lol) in the middle of the video. He actually thanked him for the feedback and said he will keep those bits to the beginning and end as a compromise. In his video today he mentioned it.
I have seen no examples of Jim being sexist and he openly defends LauraK on the podcast and is all for transgender and woman's rights from what I have seen
I think he's an honest guy and will always give his opinion no matter what. He will point out stupid criticism and comments on his videos and yeah he bans people that abuse him but so does Mack. there is criticism and then there is being abusive, I'd be surprised if Jim bans people for criticising his work in this way though

As you said Mack there is no quality control anymore and that's because it costs money to employ someone to do it. It costs steam next to nothing to just add a game to their library, compared to how much it cost back in the 90s when you had to print the manual, produce the CD/DVDs, market the game etc. It was that cost which forced developers to take a good hard look at the end product before releasing it.
Good on you Mack for slamming these games, shaming them is our only hope for a better future.

I've been through 4000+ games on Steam queue, and only 192 games on my wishlist, mostly because I'd MAYBE buy them if they go on sale. 192 out of 4000 pretty much sums it up, and an even lower ratio of games that you then buy and determine aren't absolute garbage! It's quite depressing.
Don't even get me started on the amount of weeaboo visual novels, simulations, and survival games I've had to sort through in order to see the REAL fucking gems.
this shit got "mixed" reviews on steam (63% positive)... some people got even somewhat 6 and above hrs of gameplay. I know a lot of the reviews are sarcasm and stuff, but that does not change anything, people are willing to buy this shit even for laughs and spend more than 10 minutes in it. I just don't understand it... there are thousands of great games which I will never get to play because I just don't have so much time for gaming, while some are spending their time playing this, paying for this. It's like you walk into a shop and see a dead rat covered in shit for sale and you stand there thinking like "nahhh... this rat stinks and started to rot already... but it's so cheap... yeah... i think i'll buy it, play with it for a little"

Totally agree Mack. I used to love sharing Doom and Quake levels with friends. Nowadays these guys are just looking for a quick buck. This is no labor of love. There are lots more awesome things to play for free at sites like Moddb etc. This game would be laughed out of the building on Moddb even if it was free! LOL
