You're the second person I saw doing a Meian unboxing. I just couldn't help myself and ordered a scenery 139x60 cm for about €36,-. It's a picture I wanted for some time and this video convinced me to buy it from Meian. Thank you for your honest reviews, I really enjoy watching them!
I am definitely going to have to try this company now! Thanks Rachel and all who commented! Also, this looks more like a cabbage rose to me with the petals fully extended, though I've seen some types of peonies that do something similar. I've just seen cabbage roses do that exact thing, is why I'm giving that as an option. :-)

Claudette Jones hi! I've been wanting to order a round drill DP but have kinda been afraid of the quality of drills. I have been doing Square DP for a long time from my fav AliExpress store Ever Moment so I was wondering what the quality of their drills are cause the is 1 or 2 paintings I would love to get. Thanks for your help!

I've ordered a few smaller diamond paintings from Meian and they are also very pretty & have clear easy to read drill fields, I think they are an exceptional place to order from, while being reasonably priced for what you get, this painting is so beautiful, thank you for sharing
FYI In case you wanted to do more unboxing on Meian. It is actually pronounced as May-on. I believe it means beautiful in Chinese.

I miss admit I like the look of the dac ones. I do agree that when you first start it is hard figuring out the good from the not so good. It's all part of the learning which is what I love. That's a beautiful painting! I'm glad they're using baggies now. I got a huge peacock painting from them & it was a bit of a pain to kit up without an inventory sheet since the drills came in the sealed bags. I might finish mine some day, lol.

Meian is one of my favorite stores. I'm working on a massive one right now. I have loved working on it. This is one I was looking at as well. Now I know I want it!
Last year I bought this canvas, but I haven't started to work on it just yet. I've also bought a few other canvases from Meian, and they all seem to be poured glue. The symbols on each picture are clear and easy to read. So I really like this store.

I recently finished a square painting from Meian, and the quality of the drills were really good! I had very little trash and I had enough drill to complete the picture.

I was looking through their store and most of their products have renderings of the actual DP that's being sold on the same listing! I love that so much, I hate having to message sellers for multiple renderings of a painting I might be interested in.

interesting that the meian aliexpress storefront is only in english and russian. i was not able to find the chinese characters for the store at first glance but if i assume it to be chinese, then the 2 syllable word is pronounced like May (rhymes with hey) Ahn. as opposed to what others have pronounced as Mai-En or Mii-Anne
I have I’s and H’s in my diamond painting and I mostly get confused on those if I don’t look carefully

I think I explained it in the video... if it has a clear film adhesive, it is 99.9% poured glue. Double sided tape has an opaque paper covering.

I went on #Meian website and put couple of the diamond paints on wishlist because I’m so afraid to start one cause I never done one or know which ones are good ones to start with, this video scared me a little bit because I don’t know anything.😫 Thank you for sharing your videos, I watch your video all the time and even with paint by numbers.
How do you know which companies have poured glue and which use double sided adhesive? Which is better and why?
I'd recommend you check reviews or videos of a company first. I prefer poured glue myself, but it's generally more expensive, since it has to cure in an oven, whereas the tape can be applied quickly.

Hi Rachel. Thanks for this video. I've been browsing this store and I adore some of the art that I've seen there and so I'm tempted to order. Could you let me know what your overall thoughts are on this company? From this video it seems as if they're great, but I haven't heard you talk about them again (outside of this video) and so I'm not sure if you feel that you'd buy from them again. Any thoughts now, 10 months later. Thx
The quality seems to have stayed the same but I'm not sure. I don't buy diamond paintings as much as I used to...

75 yrs 'young' here and brain- fogged sometimes. The measurement shown on the box for this Meian is 120 x 51 cm but those #s are not in the size selection for ordering. What's the actual size I should select for this unboxing? Thanx from this ol' girl.

I had a look for you Jeanne... in the listing there was a chart, where it said that 120x51 is the canvas size. The ordering (picture) size is 110x40. I hope that helps!

I keep hearing so many good this about Meian, but I'm so sad they don't do squares :(
Ive heard many companies even if they advertise round you can ask for square and they usually do it.
I’ve never had a problem with Meian however I have noticed differences in production. My first few kits from them arrived like yours (big key on each side) and my latest order from November all 4 kits came with one key, about the length of a biro pen for 40 odd colours and an unusable “inventory sheet” which doesn’t have the symbol on it to match up. The paintings still look amazing though but I will need to photocopy the key I think.

That's actually about right for me as well. But you know what, getting customs done and ordering existing prints yields and even bigger inconsistency especially with quality.
No I didn’t because otherwise the kits seem perfect and the sheets were consistent across all the kits. I’ll dig them out and tag you on Instagram so you can see the differences after I’ve had dinner 😊
As a beginner, the white areas look confusing to me. There doesn't seem to be any divider lines between the spaces, so how can you place them precisely? If I tried to place diamonds in those areas they would be super wobbly without having any guide to align them. Hope I'm making sense ❤️
After a little practice, you get used to it and I prefer diamond paintings to look this way! There is a diamond painting ruler out there if you would like to try it out!

Unfortunately the only produce round drills right? I read in every description of their paintings on AliExpress.
Yes, they only do Round drill, like EverMoment only does square.

How do you know if it is a poured glue?
Clear cover is usually poured glue. Opaque cover (looks like white parchment paper) is usually double sided tape
