Top marks for both your wise words and the lady holding the camera. Clear effort by both haha. Thanks Jim, I think I need to have a look at mine as it seems to only want to tart on full choke and sometimes cuts out right away.
Maplins. Those were the days. Now uou say theres no more power to be had out of this bike, not quite true, these bikes run about 9hp as standard, Detuned to trach a hp target. breathing better frees just a few more horses, up to about 13! According to estimates, you can also bore up to a massive 143cc! the main blockage is the inlet manifold, solved by a switch to dual carb CV set up.
65 is about the top end. this modification is aimed more at folks that have put a kn style filter or/and chopped exhausts, the cg carb gets rid of the flat spots that are in the standard carb when you start modifying
is the throttle cable working correctly? not snagging? too short? as i said above some of us have had to change to a cg cable. Also, have you tried all the adjustments? clip up and down etc
@@jimray3954 trottle cable is all fine, but didn't change the clip I will try this and hope it will inprove, with the original carb needed full choke to run, after seeing your video it was wuth just buying a new carb 👍

I have problem with my stock carb Keihin PD 22. My Rebel have normal exhausts and filter. This chinese carb for CG125 will be good also for standard configuration? If am afraid that I will have problem with adjustment. What is Your opinion? Thanks for help.

I had one of them things in early 2000's. The sluggiest thing i ever sat on. Wish i seen your video back then :D
Good advise Jim ;)

What kinda speeds do you get outta your Rebel? Max ive hit is 65 on a good day, sometimes it tops out at 60 screaming

Ah thats fair enough, Shame we cant twin carb these, would be interesting
Did the same on my 125 rebel but I have to put the choke halfway to ride normal, without that I have no power any idea what would be wrong?
are you running standard filter and exhaust? whats your setup?
@@jimray3954 yes standard airfilter and drilled exhaust

Start with the clip at the highest notch, and see how it goes
