I'm just curious where those 3 hoses go. I don't know shit about carbs, but I was given one of those duals for a honda twin 250 and I'd like to use it.
got this swap on mine pretty easy to get it running Got all parts on ebay. Did some trial and error for jetting. I was running 2x 110 keihin main jet when temp was 30°C but need rejet when temp change. Got up to 85 90mph. Air/fuel screw is set to 1 3/4 to 2 3/4 depending on outside temp. By the way my bike is a 85 rebel 250
I'm not sure what year bike your is but mine is a '85 and it came with a 26mm keihin cv with a 110 main jet and a accelerator pump. I currently run a Mikuni VM 26mm round slide with no accelerator pump, and a open element cone filter, all the plates knocked out of the baffles on the stock pipes, and a 3/4" added to the intake tract before the carb. After doing this and properly jetting the carb, and adding a couple of degrees of timing (I tuned the bike to run on 89 oct.) after this the bike pulled really hard in the lower rpms and about the same or a little better at the top of the RPM range, and with just the plates pushed out of the baffles the bike is louder, not loud it almost sounds like a stock 60s triumph. Later I removed the rear 33T rear sprocket and replaced it with a 30T. The end result is my wifes bike pulls harder from 0 to 60 than stock, and will cruise on a flat highway at 70ish with me on at 280lbs, and get a average of 70 mpg. I built this bike for my wife I have no data from her rides, but my 190lb son claims he has been over 80mph on the flat. With all this said a accelerator pump is not needed. A properly tuned and sized round slide without a accelerator pump will out perform the stock CV carb any day of the week. The only mistake I think I made on my wifes bike was maybe not buying a 28mm. I'm no expert tuner but I have been racing and building 2 and 4 stroke motorcycles for over 30 years for myself and friends, I did this setup just reading the plugs to get the jetting and timing right for 89 octane fuel, and the bike starts and drives better than stock.
+Jose Ureste how so ? It has timing marks and just like every other engine you can adjust timing . I believe the race cdi I am using can advance the timing spark . Changing the placement of the pulse pick up ? Advance the cam ? Good topics to dig into
+Jose Ureste they say that the cdi is for up to 250 cc and others like it say 50 to 125 cc they look the same? There's a few more I'm going took at just look at what the hopped up gy6 are using for cdi? Good to know! Wish I could tell you more
Donald Kumler I thought about running a 26 to 28 mm Mikuni flat slide on my bike . Ive had enjoyed great success running flat slides on my race bikes . My engine is stock other than a Jardine exhaust system. I'm looking for someone who's done it & had success . Cheers!
Unfortunately I didn’t have the wide band set up when I had the twins. I’ve messed with jets enough that I play with the throttle position pull’s idle 1/4,1/2 and wide open then crack it open checking plugs air density is different in areas so tune can be different but a baseline can be found doing it this way if you learn how to do that
Hi Rayn, I clicked on your video hoping to see an instructional video showing how to attach the duel carb to the bike. I have a Honda Rebel that I want to switch from a single carb to a dual carb. Have you made a video like this or know where I can find instructions on how to do this?
Hey Jody, unfortunately I don’t have a video on this set up. I’m not sure what set up you are dealing with as they can be different. It should be a straight forward process putting in all back together if you are able to disassemble it. You probably will need to modify or remove air box or get a new air intake system all of this is a custom modified job. I don’t run this style set up because a single good tune a the stick carb out performed the duel and was a tightly packed set up. Good luck on the project
It all depends on what you have done to the bike? What your looking to gain also elevation of the air density. It’s not a plug and play situation. They make a carb jet calculation method that you can find simply by looking on the internet. All bikes will preform differently. My suggestion would be grab a bunch of different jet sizes roll though the throttle and look for the dead spots. Then read why! If you don’t want to read and do the work then probably doesn’t do any good playing around with it
I bought a dual carb for my 86 Rebel but its a Rebel CD (limited edition) idk if it will fit and i was told by a friend who restores bobbers and i bought it from him and he suggested i remove the air box completely and just leave it off...but ive heard thats reallly bad...any tips
Game Thogic , don’t know what the carb is? And if you have the rt intake flange? If you take the box off you do need some way to filter the air. If the rebel sucks too much it will run badly needs some restriction. I don’t think you get much for gains running a dual carb set up. It’s harder to keep it tuned unless you wanna piss with it . A good jet set up and single carb will put preform two
Ryan Leikness i bought it off of amazon its made by BH motors....i had no choice but to buy the dual because ive looked all over for a single and all the singles dont say if they are compatible for the rebel .....the dual did say it was compatible for the rebel 85- 2014 models
Game Thogic , well? You always have a choice! You just didn’t do enough research my friend.. I came across the same issues once ago. What happened to the single stock carb?
Game Thogic , replace the air boot for a single carb to a ca 250 . Look for a air interior boot in some form. Over in different countries the rebel is a CA 250 and are identical enough to swap out they have a ca 125 and a ca 250
@@TheRebelking247 i had it cleaned but it still bogged out and my grandfather who was a mechanic said it would e easier to buy a new carb because that one would have needed to be completely redone
Just different! I like complication don’t know if it’s a performance gain I haven’t ran this setup yet lol I’m very slow at finishing my projects always busy. Thanks for comment
You can if you have the room? I’m not sure what intake you are using? Probably need a custom air box or air pods to fit it, it’s very close to the frame. A good single carb works much better than 2 . If they are not set up rt and adjusted they will perform poorly. I’m currently running a custom lectron the company made for me
Where is the airflow screw on the original carb? Can’t find the fucker on the original one, Got new open pipes (3/4” -> 1,5”) on my rebel250 and the carb sucks way to mutch air in
It all depends on the area of elevation you live in and also if you have anything else done, aftermarket exhaust, air cleaner. I don’t really know what a stock rebel with dual carbs as my bike wasn’t stock at the time and o didn’t run it for long ! Did see any significant changes to justify problems with running two. My opinion single is easy and much better. They are smaller and jets are different if you want them to be running decent? Get a wide band o2 until and play with it or find someone who can dial it in. No tech base line for this set up. Sorry I’m don’t have the answer that you are looking for. Keep doing research and reading! You will get there get a carb sinking gauge the need to be set up the same
The stock rebel carbs are kind priced high, even used! Save money and get good stuff the carb is very important.. you don’t want dirty hands when you yank on your wee wee do you? Things run better when you can start fresh
I did not use the twin set up,let me know how u like them. Did you re-jet them ? Think I'll use a efi but I'm running a stock carb with the turbo but built it just for all out drag with big jets. But still think I'm going too jet the twins and see what it will do I have a wide band system on it so it will be easy for me when tuning. Ben working on my Harley bobber not the Honda. broke my GoPro so no new videos ? But soon
Be careful ordering some of them don’t have the rt jettings for your bike and look at the elevation and air just a simple thing like key that can gain tons of power, look into different carbs you can use round slides and flat slides vacuum carbs suck ass anyway
I actually got the jet out how much for you to fix it If it’s to high don’t be mad if I say no because I am only 16 and really am on a budget. Where are you located. -thanks
Also the best thing to do is to just bolt the dual carbs on, install a European dual carb air box or a set of cone filters, hook up all hoses, and check for leaks then start the bike. The carbs you bought are no doubt a china copy of the dual carbs European models run if you run pod filters you will have some jetting to do. If you use a stock airbox and filter and have stock mufflers you might get away with very little work.. If your buying a wide band get the AEM UEGO, it is probably the best and most accurate piece for the money.I've used that a lot lately and have used a older haltech in the past on my other larger 4 stroke drag bikes I have raced. The AEM is far superior and has less warm up time. (only about 10 seconds.) Good luck with your project.
Thanks for the information ,I'm going to be running turbos on it and made custom header pipe race CDi ported heads billet rods and Pistons Barnett clutch .my bike will never see stock again 14 psi of boost 50 hp or more engine should be done with bottom end in 10 weeks. Thinking of Efi if you want any pipes or head work done I'm the man for that just filled my tig up with gas and consumables for a few sets of pipes any size I'll make to order or have some made up soon for sale
donald, i got the ebay carb hooked up but the bike really can't go past 40mph and it studders. any suggestions? i can't seem to figure out how to adjust it. thanks
May be off on the air fuel mix . What kind of air box or cleaners you are set up with can make it run bad! I'm guessing the jets are wrong. Open exhaust?? Carbs have 1/4 1/2 and full response simple jetting math fix all 3 and will pull hard ! jetted my 85 and open custom header ran GOOD!! 106 mph all day
+Jason Angell , I used some China made intake for Honda rebels think I payed 30$ or so but it took me a little bit to track them down. eBay should have them ? If I can fined the receipt I will let you know where I got them

Whats the jets (3 ) for vm26?
Did you modify the jets by measuring combustion with the wideband sensor? I would like to know what measurements you used, thanks!

You're using a single PZ26 piston carburetor with a manifold. What main jet and pilot jet do you recommend using? It's a 1986 model.
It all depends on what you have done to the bike? What your looking to gain also elevation of the air density. It’s not a plug and play situation. Am seeing a carbarater for cb250 nighthawk 1999 do u have any??
Sorry personal use not for sale
Hey, i just wanted to ask if i can install the dual carb on my Honda rebel 125
You can if you have the room? I’m not sure what intake you are using? Probably need a custom air box or air pods to fit it, it’s very close to the frame. A good single carb works much better than 2 . any updates on this swap ? thinking about doing this myself
What's the reason to go from single to dual? Please reply to kellyhicks911@gmail.com
will you sell your old carb?
as the duel carb intakes are Duel 253fmm intakes need to swap from single to duel. any help
Where is the airflow screw on the original carb?
Can’t find the fucker on the original one,
Got new open pipes (3/4” -> 1,5”) on my rebel250 and the carb sucks way to mutch air in
It’s the air cleaner and the bigger pipes, you need better jets only way is richer fuel.. but it’s under the carb
How many turns out on the fuel mixture screw should I have it at for dual carbs
It all depends on the area of elevation you live in and also if you have anything else done, aftermarket exhaust, air cleaner. haven't gotten it to run good. can't really go over 40mph and studders. all stock
Those twin carbs suck and are super sensitive. Gum up way too quick and PIA to stay synced properly
@8:21 Crackin like bluh bluh bluh blah bluh bluh blahh bluhhhhhh and sluggish. Lolol
Can you tell me the full name of " single carb" please. Thank you !
Stock vm cmx250 rebel carb beefed up with big ass jets polished
Thank you, my friend !
Will you sell your single barrel. Is it stock. What’s wrong with it
I’m not selling it sorry, I use it for testing it is not stock. Do you have a carb? I can build you anything or rebuild it
I’m only 16. Just got my rebel for school and home. Can’t afford one mine has messed up jet threads and a crack
Sorry not a crack. Just can’t afford to do it gonna try and order a China carb for 11$
Be careful ordering some of them don’t have the rt jettings for your bike and look at the elevation and air just a simple thing like key that can gain tons of power, look into different carbs you can use round slides and flat slides vacuum carbs suck ass anyway

all of these comments are like the "Turbo encabulator" video to me. I'd love to pay to have this put on my rebel.
