You're like the Daniel Cua or Chris Cuff ( RIP ) of today when it comes to phonograph restoration my friend. Before he passed on Chris Cuff was the only guy doing intricate phonograph repairs like this on YT. Your vids have more pizzaz!
Thank you.....Sad to hear about Chris. He has a great videos in you tube I learn a lot from him. That is why I got into RCA 45 record changers. About Daniel yes I saw his videos too I love his collection of record changers.
I dream of assembling record players, but I found it too difficult to do…I am impressed and give my salute to people like you who are gifted with this. In our place, in Pangasinan, I haven’t found yet someone who can help me fix and restore my players.
@ I just picked up a j-2 the other day, I’m trying to get the stacker working, cleaning the knives they have old sticky oil, I think I need a new cam wheel
@@JmieTH-cam since J2 is a 70 yrs. old player yes thats the first thing you need to do replace a new cam wheel and idler wheel. Remove all hard grease and clean the mechanism.

Fascinating.
Thanks
I like the fact that you cleaned and painted the old parts for reassembly. What did you use to get the springs so shiny?
Thanks!!! About the springs just soak in WD40 then brush gently.
Beautiful mechanism. But where do these new parts come from?
This is from a 1950's RCA Victor 45-EY-26 I disassembled clean and repaint the parts and assembled.
I have an RCA 45J rpm phonograph that needs to be calibrated/repaired. Do you do one? How can I get in touch with you? Thank you.
Yes but I'm in the Philippines
