I am 71 years old, and I remember doing the Dr. Adkins diet back in the early 1970s. I still remember eating four eggs and six pieces of bacon for breakfast way back then in my early 20s. I lost a ton of weight and never felt better in my life. The problem was…. Holidays! There are so many traditional foods on the holidays and it was just too hard to forgo it. Just getting ready to start carnivore for the first time, I have no doubt that it will work, just slowly getting rid of the food in my house

I've been watching you Dr. Berry from when you first stared Keto, then you eent to Carnivore. And been watching Neshia too and have watched your babies grow since they've been in Neshias tummy. I've even seen your wedding Ceremony. I love you two. I worked at a Health Food store and gave your name on a piece of paper to all my customers. You have been such a great help. Happy 4th of July . My A1C was 4.8 last Tuesday and my good cholesterol is up triglycerides are only 45 . I am still staying around 170 lbs and I am now lifting weights again when I am not fasting only and I am walking 3 or 4 measured miles every day. My muscles are growing and I am 61. I feel fantastic. I no longer have high blood pressure. Just the way I feel makes this definitely worth any effort that it takes to accomplish this. Anyway, I will sign back up soon God willing. I went into this because of heart disease and a possible tumor. Couldn't see the nodule in my lower left lung in a recent x-ray. It may require a CT again. Hopefully it's gone. So, I am being very strict now about not eating any sugar, carbs, seed oils, starch or plant oils etc. All I eat is beef, bacon, butter, an eggs. I love it. It's simple. Easier to shop and to cook aswell.

Stick to low carb vegetables, or keep yourself to a set number of cheat meals (not cheat days) per time frame.
When people are metabolically healthy they might be able to get away with eating up to about 100g of carbs per day, but that depends on the individual. It seems your body doesn’t handle carbs well (mine doesn’t either), so you may not ever be able to go back and maintain the gains. Sorry.

Qqq. I’ve been fully Carnivore since January 2023. Lost 48 lbs and healed much wrong in my body. Off all meds. Blood work perfect. But as of August 2023, I have remained at the same weight. I have added in exercise and swimming, walking and some weights to try to stimulate more weight loss. I have done a few 72 hr fasts but so far no more weight loss. I still need to lose twenty pounds. But not one pound more since I plateaued. How can I take off the rest of the weight I need to lose? To remain at the same weight for nearly a year while still being Carnivore is frustrating. I understand if I’m building a little muscle it weighs but I don’t exercise enough to build lots of muscle. I hope you can give me a clue as how to break this plateau. Thank you both for all the help you give us all.

Carnivore isn’t really a weight loss diet even though people like to market it as such. It generally balances people’s weight. So for people underweight they tend to gain some weight and for people overweight they lose some. But after hitting that balance your weight stabilizes. So either your the weight your meant to be or there’s something else at play that is not related to the carnivore diet. (This is assuming you’re strict with carnivore including the removal of things like seed oils).

    • @iss8504
      @iss8504 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

There are many reasons. If your cortisol is high, because you're doing stressful things you won't lose weight. If your sleep is bad, it won't budge either. Try eating leaner meat and do 2 meals daily with 48 hour fasts between. I find I gain weight on carnivore. It's too much nutrition for me. So I dropped back to keto, eating 2 cups of salad on eating days and I started losing again after a plateau. I weight train however to make sure I don't lose muscle.

It's not this diet. Humans aren't carnivores and in fact we were designed to be vegetarians. We can eat meat sure but it should only be a small portion of our diet. People like Anette Larkins, Shifu Yan Lei, Patrick Bouman etc all prove that carnivore is not the proper human diet.

I'm now feeling better than I have in a very long time. I've been low carb for 2y 8m and am now metabolically healthy, within the first week I noticed that my sleep quality had improved, remitted my diabetes, getting off my blood pressure drug, my arthritis doesn't hurt like it used to, returning to my ideal weight. I have not been this weight since the mid 1980s before I had children; this happened without even trying. Due to pre-low carb back and knee issues I can only do stretching and strengthening and light hand weights. And I don't go hungry; ie I don't limit my calories, just the carbs.

    Hello,
I'm a 50-year young perimenipause woman who's in remission from chronic Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was on a weekly biologic injectible medication "Enbrel," with other prescriptions like Celebrex, Methotrexate, Tramadol & Prednisone at times that made my immune system sick and my body obese & weak starting at the age of 27. I started eating a ketogenic lifestyle in September 2019, and I'm mainly carnivore "Ketovore" now. This way of eating is the only thing that has helped my weight loss of 60 lbs, severe pain, inflammation, and other metobolic health conditions. Also, I started implementing lifting heavy weights, strength training & balance exercises 4 times a week last April. It has been a new life for me! You can seek your true health every day, starting with what you eat/drink & don't eat/drink. Implementing Dr. Berry & Neisha's Proper Human Diet "PHD" has been a huge part of my success, too.
    Peace & Health, Christine Peters

I would love to exercise but I have a cold(hopefully not the big C, but I’m not really motivated to get tested). So I’m having a lazy weekend and will probably feel better in a day or two. The cold is helping with cravings but I still feel weak-willed thinking about visiting the grocery store. Hopefully the keto high will balance out my poor energy level from being sick. Never had keto flu in the past, just the feeling of unlimited energy and euphoria from the idea that I’m burning my own body fat without having to hit the gym or eat unsatisfying foods. I watch every week even when I’m eating donuts but this week I’m going to beat this and lose a significant amount of weight before summer is even over.

Wow, doctors sure don’t read their own literature sometimes.
Ansel Keys demonstrated that DIETARY cholesterol had no effect whatsoever on blood cholesterol numbers. That was in the 1970s.
If your numbers are going up, that’s a good thing. Higher cholesterol is associated with longer life (less respiratory diseases, fewer cancers) than low cholesterol. Doctors don’t know this because Pharma doesn’t want them to know it. Sad but true.
Look up Dr. Berry’s videos on the topic and print out the study links he provides so you can show your doctor.

Hi , in June 2022 had a heart attack end T2 . My Ac1 at the time was 8.7, end on December 2023 the Ac1 was 5.4. During this time my fasting blood sugar was between 4.3 end 5. Now I'm confused. In January 2022I start carnivor diet ( January to April) only beef 200g protein, butter 200g a day .water and celti salt.Ac1 in April was 5.6. In April I ad 8 eggs a day , 3 time a week sardines. End 3 time a week about 200g cheese unpasteurised. But now I'm confused my fasting blood is between 5 end 6. I'm worried. What I'm doing wrong.

The A1c depends on a few generalizations. One is that the blood cells each last about 120 days. But if you are feeding yourself so well and keeping blood sugar in a great range, your blood cells live longer and give falsely high readings.
An alternative is to get a ‘glycated albumin’ test, which doesn’t have the same error potential. That test will be more truthful about your situation.

Also cream of tartar has potassium, you will need to search doses. Most supplements in USA are only 99mg so not much. We should be looking at optimal ranges for health NOT compromised age related later life diseases states.

I’m not a doctor. After EVERYTHING I’ve been listening to and reading NUTRITIONALly this wouldn’t be optimal IF you are eating like this everyday. What is a chicken wing drummet a whole leg, 5 of them? Chicken is one of those lesser meats. Dr Berry recommends eating mostly beef. Hence his BeefBaconButterEggs (BBBE). He then says eat till satiety. dr Chaffee says the same and adds eat until it stops tasting good. Ideally you should’ve be eating enough protein which is approximately 1g per pound of ideal body weight plus the fats and added fats to maintain weight. This calculation is slightly different for men and women. You can look it up. prof Bat Kay has a formula.
