The quickest way to get a motor apart, retain the copper and other parts that are worth more money broken down then just leaving them whole.but the basic logic is the same for almost all electric motors. Be safe and Happy Scrapping!

I'm retired, 76, living near Lewes DE. Vietnam Vet then worked for the Navy in DC until I retired. Always enjoyed fixing things. Cars, plumbing, electrical, carpentry. The difference between me and you guys is I had to put it back together and make it work. You microscrap to make more money or to make whatever fit in the trailer. Thanks for sharing your adventure.

A plow coder cut in half works good on the bigger moters .A coder is what cut the soil and plow board fipps the soil over on a farm plow.

@ScrappingwithGrandpa Thankyou. Scrapping is my hobby. Today, I pulled apart 3 fridge compressor motors and an old stick welding machine to get the copper.
That's cool no copper saw dust if you cut with angle grinder
I have used a grinder before
Good job been doing that for some time now but watch out some times there are rivets ho;ding it together and will damage the blade

I have a 16" band saw and I can get a fine tooth blade for it. I am thinking of trying it to see if it will cut with ease and make easier for me to recover the copper from the motors. Go for it! You just gave me an idea. I think I wanna try the same thing for the ends instead of using a Sawa. I think that would work better. It’s more solid blade very interesting. Thank you for the thought. I’ll see you on the next video.
Interesting, I usually take a grinder and cut one side off,then I take my pneumatic hammer and hammer the windings out of the steel middle part

Im classed as a strange one as I welcome heavy rain because I collect it for fresh water ( swansea SouthWalespart time scrapper as I seem to have been most of my life nuts and bolts wer my thing before I found smelting beer and soda cans by the 1/3 ton . I collect them crush them box them up till I have half a ton of cans reasdy to smelt into ingots
How many ingots do you have already from cams?
