It’s a music video - the audio is the studio recording with some enhancements in the solo for the MV. So any whammy was done in the studio. Also, the roof scenes were shot in 100+F weather.
The guy did not die because their mom said "No death" when her young girls were making the video. Many people have interpreted it as a metaphor of stepping off the edge into a new life or new POV.
When the guy drops his phone and blindfold, it's like in Equilibrium when Preston quits dosing Librium. Programming starts breaking down. (Christian Bale movie, in case you were wondering)

Track One, Side A, *XXI Century Blood.* They definitely brought the warning with that one! It's a simple classic rock garage band song, with a VERY pointed message. You can see why their Pepsi Center performance of this was so enthusiastic! They really got off to a good start with this album. In a normal world not managed by corporate BS music executives, this song would have been a serious hit!
I saw Ted Nugent perform Stranglehold live shortly after the album ws released. He was touring with Aerosmith and Kansas. He was the opening act. Imagine that. TW are big fans of The Matrix. So, I have always taken the man falling off the building as a leap of faith sort of thing, as when Neo crashes into the street after falling when he is trying to leap from building to building only to find that the street is rubbery and not real. Anyway, it shows that the world around the MC is an illusion that is closely monitored by the "Internet Police", as you referred to it.
We've become so absorbed into the technology that we're missing the world around us. And yes, people walking and texting drives me crazy, but what's worse is these assholes who step up to the urinal in the bathroom, still texting and checking things on their phones with one hand! It's like, 'Hey asshole, you disgust me.' LOL! Anyway the dude taking the leap was a metaphor for taking a leap of faith to get up and go do something new with your life, and he triggered a chain reaction of people who are now viewing the world differently... And your comment about 'The Other Guys' you literally made me snort remembering that scene! To funny. Now I gotta watch the movie again "I'M A PEACOCK!!!"

Tired of the copyright bs you need to check out Freeze The Fall, they pop in and say thank you and will fix any copyright issues because they have full control. Some of us The Warning Army have been supporting Freeze The Fall after a The Warning cover got our attention.and the originals created a Cold Front and slid down the rabbit hole. Freeze The Fall are 17yo Quinn on guitar/vocals who taught herself guitar to The Warning's Queen Of The Murder Scene album when she was 11yo, Aria 16yo bass/vocals started ukulele at 7yo and switched to bass at 13yo and 16yo Jonah on drums, called The Destroyer because he makes sawdust of drum sticks and breaks stuff. They are a band you can actually reach out to and they answer. at least for now while time allows and don't let ages fool you, you saw what TW has done and we see Freeze The Fall as a continuation and expansion on what was started with TW. be good to one another and ROCK ON !!
