Your Fav will be the last one you heard. But I still hold Exerminated from 2016 as one of my favorites as this was the first original song I heard from them. I was a bit late on the train :-)
It's damn good for sure. I can see any of their songs being someone's favorite, they're just so good. For me it's Martirio in the number one spot followed closely by Ugh. Followed closely about sixty others. Anyway I think they're the best thing to happen in music for a long long while.
How these girls haven't become a household name yet is a mystery to me. There are but 2 kinds of people here, one group is totally obsessed with The Warning, and then there are those that haven't heard them yet. I'm 75 and haven't been this obsessed with a band since 1964, do I have to tell you who they were? They Are A Phenom. They are like an Addicting drug. Down The Warning Rabbett hole you go.
I am 72 and have a pretty good idea of who you speak, loved their music back in the day as well but, was into another band with Jim Morrison at the helm as well. Just think how young the "Phenom" band was in 64 and can't help but notice how young these phenomenal Sisters are and taking over the Rock world one show and one song at a time... Hoping to stick around for a while to see what happens next....it will be exciting for sure.
I think it's because rock just isn't mainstream anymore, and people who do like rock usually listen to oldies stations. But it will happen, and maybe very soon because Keep Me Fed has a more modern sound that might just do it for them. Anyway, we know how great they are.
A bit of context for this concert. It was in Mexico City (CDMX) over 7300 feet above sea level. Pau, the drummer, was so sick they were considering cancelling! And her two sisters were not at 100% either.... And they put on an incredible show with tremendous energy - no doubt helped along by the massive energy of the 8000 strong sold out audience.
Pau trains by singing while running on a treadmill. All three are troopers. Dany’s had some back issues, and at least one time this summer she was in such pain that she had to sit in a chair for the concert, but she showed up! And the only time Pau really showed that she wasn’t 100% that night at the Pepsi Center was during one of her two solo songs on piano, “Breathe,” and half of that was because she got so emotional she started crying.
In fact, Pau was given a steroid from the doctor to allow her to perform in this special two-hour concert celebrating their tenth anniversary as a band. None of them wanted to disappoint the 8,000 fans who bought tickets, so they soldiered on because they are loyal to their fans, treasuring them and respecting the mutual relationship. Although it is hard to hear, notice that in Dust to Dust the crowd is saying the Spanish words that their manager, Rudy spoke on the recording. This crowd was up for it ALL and DPA didn't disappoint. Indeed, they gave them their very best.
Since the first time The Warning played Dull Knives everyone said it was too short. When they wrote the song they tried to make it longer but nothing worked it made it worse they said so they told everyone if you want to hear it longer then play it twice. However at the Pepsi Concert they found the perfect way to extend Dull Knives, that was tacking on the end of Dust to Dust, which they also gave an extended outro played for the very first time at the Pepsi Center. It brings together two of their greatest songs from Queen of the Murder Scene together with a length to appease all of us.
Dust to Dust and Dull Knives are from their second album Queen of the Murder Scene, released November 25 2018. It's a concept album that plays like a rock novel divided into four chapters of three songs. Dust to Dust is the prologue to the album while Dull Knives is in chapter three. Chapter one starts with the song Crimson Queen.
Oh so the album is kinda like a 3-act story! that's pretty cool. Dust to Dust seems like a great way to open an album to be honest. Really love the chorus.
Written when they were barely in their teens. The bassist Ale gets major credit when she was only 11 or 12 years old. It has a unique moment in the original performance. During the breakdown they were joined on stage by their manager Rudy dressed as a priest in black and delivers a sermon in Spanish. He had difficulty keeping time with the band that they later had a prerecorded sermon as a background track. You can’t even hear the track here, as it appears 8,000 fans are reciting the sermon themselves! Check out Dust to Dust live at the Lunario or the Whiskey A Go Go to see the original presentation of the song.
I love the crowd reciting the sermon. It is hard to hear for a first time listener who doesn't know what it is or what to listen for, but it must have been such a powerful moment for those who were there in the arena live!
These are 2 songs from their concept album, Queen of the Murder Scene. It is their 2nd album, written while still teenagers, and it is very, very good!! It is worth listening to the album songs in order to get the full experience of it. (And their channel has some vlogs where they explain the album which are cool also.)
That's so cool. Love that they wrote that from such a young age. I would have loved to have had that opportunity when I was a kid. I wonder what things would have been like if I had released songs from my high school band 😆
Dull Knives is the song they played from their home basement studio (aka The Warning Cave) during the pandemic era “D-Tour” on-line charity concert. Their performance caught the eye/ear of Lzzy Hale, who was also performing, prompting her to say “We (Halestorm) need to take them on tour”. True to her word, TW has now opened for Halestorm close to 40 times. Most recently, they opened 8 shows in Canada for Halestorm and Evanescence.
@@SquishyJoshy yup and Def Leppard ( Bassist Ale was only 12) The Killers, Guns and Roses, Three Days Grace, Muse, Avril Lavigne, The Foo Fighters, Royal Blood, and The Pretty Reckless.
Studio version of the 2 songs released in 2018 but written in 2017 and recorded earlier in 2018 they were barely 18, 16 and 13 Pau the drummer sings and drums at the same time since she plaus drums . One of her first teacher encourage her to stay on point and focused. She said in a ITW she barely pay attention on stage
Its something they started not that long ago because they gel so good, its an extended ending of Dust To Dust perfectly leads into Dull Knives intro 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
The Warning...learn to not expect anything. Go with their flow. They will take you awesome places. The question " Is it typical?" Good luck find a TW "typical... When most kids are 12 , many kids are still listening to the Wiggles or graduated to kiddy pop. Pau was writing songs like Revenant and Black Holes...
The lack of a resolution at the end is due to the fact that this is the not the end of the story. Heard in the context of the album, it is very effective.
Now that makes sense! I'm not saying every song needs to have a resolution, sometimes I just expect it to, especially in a live context. I definitely do enjoy moments like this when bands leave us hanging though. :D
Both of these songs are from Queen of the Murder Scene, a concept album released in 2018 when Ale was 13, Pau was 16, and Dany was 18. The album tells the story of a young woman’s descent into obsession, murder, and madness. Dust to Dust, the opening track and prologue, introduces themes of life, death, and deception, setting the emotional tone for the album. The song features a Spanish spoken interlude performed by their manager Rudy, usually played on a backing track; however, in the Pepsi Center video, the backing track is mixed much quieter, with crowd microphones turned up so you can hear the audience performing the spoken part. For this performance, the band also added an extended outro that isn’t on the studio recording. Dull Knives (Cut Better), the 9th track from Chapter 3, shows the protagonist’s growing despair and internal struggle, where her evil side is beginning to win. Behind the scenes, the band revealed they tried to extend Dull Knives, but ultimately decided to keep it short, recommending listeners replay it if they feel it’s too brief.
♥ these chikas! My 1st The Warning concert was also my 3rd Band Maid concert - their joint show in Tokyo! It featured studio quality lights & sound! Both bands played my fave songs (Money & Bubble)! Then they closed out the nite by debuting their song collab - Show Them. Legendary concert! dbl ♥
I heard about their joint show/song. That would have been awesome to get two awesome bands together in one show like that. I should probably check that song out (I think that was going to be the next The Warning & Band-Maid song I was going to react to. Thank you for commenting! :D
Hahahaha I did react to that one... it got taken down by TH-cam unfortunately... 5 times... so I'm going to have to put that reaction somewhere else at some point, since TH-cam doesn't seem to allow it :(
@@Dale-m9t I actually obscured it heavily by my 5th upload and it still got taken down, I warped the video, I flipped it, increased the saturation... I don't know why mine kept getting taken down. :(
This was the first time they paired these two songs with a bridge in this way. Dust to Dust is Track one on Queen of the Murder Scene. Dull Knives is track 9.
They were likely paired together because they are 2 of the harder rockers from QOTMS and the guitar tuning was obviously the same as Dany normally does a lot of guitar changes. Also, they obviously realized that the extended ending of D2D, which they had done before, fit nicely with the beginning of DK(CB).
It actually isn't the first time they did this. Pretty sure I've heard them paired up before somewhere.... Hmmmm. Doubting myself now. Ah, no, I've heard the extended ending to D2D before, but not the two songs linked.
@@v6jim2 I think the two shows before this one also had the songs paired. Guadalajara and Monterrey. But yeah they did the extended ending before I think.
Ale, a premiere Jazz Bassist playing Rock, composed the Bass-line for Dust to Dust at 9, and adapted it, composing the foundation for the entire song, at 11. At 9 Ale also played the catalog of Jaco Pastorius, greatest Jazz Bassist, widely considered the Greatest Bassist, because it's what every 9 year old does. There's a video of Ale playing Jaco's incredibly difficult Jazz masterpiece "Donna Lee" at 11; Ale wasn't trying to play it, she just played it! These sisters are insanely talented. These 2 songs together are epic, featuring first Pau then Dany on lead vocals. The 3 sisters, master composers, could never make DK longer without ruining it; pairing of D2D and DK brilliantly solves it. I love Rock and Jazz; I reacted as you have the 1st time I heard The Warning. Pau and Dany are incredible in every way, but I was blown away by Ale because I was watching a 16 year old who was top-tier Jazz Bassist playing Rock; playing so powerfully, yet so crystal clear, and switching between the Bass-line and Melody-line as if was nothing, and then just throwing in Bass-solos. Dany and Pau do so much, but Ale's the foundation of The Warning; with her impeccable timing and perfect pitch. Ale's so chill; she does so much yet makes it look like she's cruising (that's very much a Jazz thing). Ale's the reason The Warning is so incredibly locked-in. Ale seamlessly switching between the Bass-line and Melody line, effectively playing the part of a 2nd instrument, plays a large part in this 3-piece sounding like a 5-piece, and it's how The Warning creates that incredible Wall of Sound. (Dany using a splitter to make it sound like she's playing multiples is also a big part). It's great that you named all those amazing bands you heard on the radio and what an impact they had on you, I can definitely relate, but there's nothing like that on the radio today, let alone young Bassists like Ale in Rock. (Just imagine if we were old enough to have been kids when bands like "Yes" were just starting or in their prime, randomly turned on the radio, and heard Chris Squire, the epic Bassist of "Yes", who was one of the primary people who created "Progressive Rock" playing? It would have blown my mind.) I only found out about The Warning because of TH-cam and then ran out and watched them live. You can't believe how insane Ale's subharmonics are until you experience them live. I just saw The Warning in Brooklyn again this past September and was up in the front of the balcony, right next to Rudy, in a building constructed to withstand a minor earthquake, yet could it withstand the the Goddess of Thunder who was causing the entire balcony to vibrate so intensely it was frightening, as my teeth, bones, and blood also vibrated? It was Ale: Every time Ale plays those incredible subharmonics all the alarms go off at the Global Seismographic Network.
I actually like to see jazz artists playing rock, I think they bring something very unique to the table, I mean in the past, we've seen that with Muse's drummer Dominic Howard, who was originally a jazz drummer but he totally brought that to a progressive/alternative rock band and I think that makes him incredibly versatile, as the same here with the girls from The Warning, them having that background in Jazz surely elevates their rock performances I'm sure.
@@SquishyJoshyGlad you brought up Dominic Howard/Muse. Muse has had a massive impact on The Warning for many reasons; stellar musicianship, compositions, vocals, but also because Muse is a trio. Watching Muse made DAP realize that the 3 of them could form a great band. Howard is a great Jazz-based drummer; a huge benefit was Chris Wolstenholme switching to Bass. Wolstenholme's basslines became central to many Muse songs, often as lead. Many of The Warning songs are structured the same way; Ale often plays lead. (DAP got to fulfill a lifetime dream; touring with Muse, first in Mexico, then throughout Europe. Matt Bellamy gifted Dany a unique One-of-a-Kind Manson Onyx 6 Guitar in Mustard Yellow; Dany had told Matt it was her favorite color).
This is so good. Dust to Dust starts off their second album, Queen of the Murder Scene, which is a concept album and tells a story from start to finish. They wrote it when they were teenagers. This LIVE version has an extended outtro after Dany's high note and transistions perfectly into Dull Knives. These two together are pretty much my favorite, most energetic songs.
@@SquishyJoshy hahaha. My personal opinion is that it is ALL very energetic!! I saw them LIVE twice this year in small venues so I was very close and had a blast!!
Two of their best songs. The Thunder Child, The Heartbeat, and The Rock Star. Owning the stage and always delivering. This band was made to be enjoyed live. Ask Lizzy Hale about them, she knows.
Out of curiosity are those titles in order from left to right? That's the first time i've heard them being described in that way in my comment section (i think)! They are definitely amazing live from what I've seen.
So happy to see more people getting introduced to the warning! Also love your reaction to dust to dust, I remember getting goosebumps the first listen too.
I just really like how they go into that chorus and Pau just belts it out (even though she was sick too) WHILE keeping the beat going as well. I love that song so much right now
The transition between songs like that is very rare for The Warning. This particular pairing was only done for this concert and is just amazing. I agree that you should check out the studio version of the song, if only to see for yourself that they really come alive on the stage. Live is their superpower. It's not like any of their music is bad in studio (far from it), it's just that they give such energy on stage, and their audio guys are unbelievable. I cannot stress enough how good the sound mix is in person without being overpoweringly loud. Just keep picking songs from the Pepsi Center (or Teatro Metro from the year prior), they are all excellent choices and show a wide variety of their mix of genres of rock. If you liked the feel of Dust to Dust, a couple of lesser-reviewed songs you might like would be Queen of the Murder Scene or Ugh, both at Teatro Metro).
They also did this transition during their show in London, UK, earlier this year. The audience volume was already great but the transition into Dull Knives saw it audibly increase and continued going up right to the end of Dull Knives. There was an excellent fan shot video but sadly his entire channel (Room of Mirrors) was taken down a few months later. It's a shame. I was only a few bodies from the front of the stage and he was up on the balcony and while I wouldn't have swapped places on the night his footage was excellent, especially the audio. There is a short of "Pau cam" snippets. The first of which is the ending of Dull Knives from London and if you consider she is beating the living hell out of her kit at this point you can hear the audience crescendo in the background.
@@philmordecai Ugh, that would have been so satisfying to hear, sucks to that it's gone. I feel like that transition made the combination of the two songs even greater than the sum of the already great songs. I don't want to hear the two without each other anymore! To me it's sorta like Heartbreaker/Living Loving Woman from Zepplin, it would be wrong to listen to one without the other.
I agree, I think Live IS their super power, that's not to say that the studio version is bad, it's just the songs come alive more when they're performing it live I think :) I'll have to check those songs out, thank you. The next video of The Warning I am probably going to be reacting to though is their collab song with BAND-MAID.
The Pepsi Center CDMX is "home turf" for The Warning. 8000+ sold-out seats. I'm pretty sure the energy generated by the crowed powered the light show. If you're going to listen to the studio version, do yourself a favor and listen to the entirety of Queen of the Murder Scene (QotMS) from start to finish. The album tells a story, and while the individual songs are all amazing QotMS is best when you listen all the way through.
I would love to see you and @PhilZero get together. Y'all form a band and just rule the rock charts (slightly behind The Warning 🤪). Awesome reaction! ❤️⚡🤘 Keep rock alive!
Terrific reaction! Agree with you wholeheartedly. And you are one of the very few (almost none actually) who appreciate that dead stop in Dull Knives. Just sublime
*Dust to Dust* is the prologue to their epic second album, *Queen of the Murder Scene.* It's a funeral dirge, complete with a Spanish sermon on a track that was drowned out by the audience here. QOTMS is a "rock novel concept album," released in late November, 2018, when they were 18, 16, and 13 years old! They conceived, wrote, composed, arranged, rehearsed, and conducted crowd funding efforts to record it and distribute it independently. You can see the entire story in context by watching the Lunario, 2018, debut concert on their channel. *Dull Knives* is out of context here, as it's track 9 in a later part of the story. QOTMS tells the story of a young girl smitten to obsession with a person who barely knows she exists. It ends tragically in murder, mayhem, and worse. It really does help to read the lyrics first, and have them at hand while watching the Lunario show (or the Foro Didi show, which some prefer). The presentation is awesome, emotional, dark, real, raw, and a little rough in a few spots, but generally excellent. Dany OWNS the role of the Queen. Pau bookends the performance with vocals on *Dust to Dust* and *The End - Stars Always Seem to Fade.*
Dude, you just turned the key that opened the thicket to absolute wonder! There is so much material out there at this band is just extra extraordinary from the time they were 9, 12 and 14, till now. Three albums, EP's it's incredible. Have a lot of fun because there's a lot of fun to be had. Glad you started! The journey will bring you happiness , and some seriously good rock 'n' roll! Plus some really beautiful ballads.
I heard that they wrote these songs as teenagers! That's crazy to me, I mean I had written songs back in highschool but never anything up to this standard. I'm very excited to explore more of their discography.
These two songs are from their Concept album "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE'.....they are the best Live band in the world now and perhaps in the history of Rock,,,,,,
As lot of TWA members I watch a lot of reaction videos of The Warning I often skim through videos because I’m really looking for reactors who teach me something and give me the feeling that they genuinely talk about the music. I enjoy when people go over the chords or try to figure them out. I love your enthusiasm and sincere knowledge-you truly know what you’re talking about. I’m glad you reacted to this video, and I’m really hoping you do more! 😁😁😁😍
Thank you so much for your comment that means so much to me. I have another video coming later today hopefully! It's a reaction to the collab between BAND-MAID and The Warning :D
Hola amigo. The Warning nos une.
Whenever you listen to the studio version of this songs, take into consideration that they were 13, 15 and 17 at the time, both songs are from the album Queen of the murder scene which is a concept album.
Nice Reaction! This concert was in Oct. 2023 and was a special show celebrating their 10 yrs. as a band. They had not been doing that bridge between these 2 songs for very long before this. These young ladies have been playing music most of their lives, from learning piano young to getting their current instruments when they were 6 to 8 yrs. old and started writing their own songs about when they were 14, 12 and 9 yrs. old.
To my knowledge, this is the first time they've combined the songs like this. The songs are related by being on the same album, but they aren't topically similar. They sound good back to back, though..
I didn't know this band until june this year (2024). I bought 2 tickets last yesr for their concert in Monterery for my daughters, I guess in October, but one of them did not wanna go so I had one ticket for me in my hands and I decided to gave it away to a niece. Since I was looking for reaction of "Wasted time" Skidrow in june 2024, I saw a reaction of Evolve in MTV for these ladies and right off the bat I was connected to their music. Since that, I cannot take my eyes off this amazing band. And you know what? I live in Monterrey and they are from here!!! I realized my big mistake last year having a ticket to see'em in my hands .........I bought tickets for the gig in february 2024 and I hope I can see them live now!!!!
A lot of reviewers/responders seem to go in thinking "This is a new band." Actually, they're going on 12 years if you count the work they did when young and before they even adopted the name. Check out an early performance done for friends, family, and fellow students where they play Muse's Hysteria. Little Ale couldn't do some of the reaches on the complicated base part so she invented a way to play it mixing an overhand and underhand style of fingering the part. Even then you could see the raw talent that they developed over the years to the tight trio they are now.
Thanks, Josh, for another great reaction. Keep them coming. These 2 songs are from their 2nd album Queen of the murder scene, which is a concept album and, in my opinion, a masterpiece written by teenagers. Choke is a great song, and I think you should react to the MV first and follow it up with their live performance from the Pepsi centre to just compare how they sound live from their studio version. You mentioned wanting to listen to the D2D studio version, which is great, but 6 years later, their vocals and musicianship have vastly improved. 🤟
I've noticed! The Live Version sounds way more refined but doesn't mean the studio version is a bad song. I should really check out more of the album. Thank you so much for your comment! :D
This transition was unusual. These two songs aren't consecutive on the album and, in concert, they don't normally, or ever to my knowledge, move from one song to the next without a definite break. When they were releasing each song from this concert on YT each release was one song until this one. They did a lot of cool things in this concert and this transition was one of them so they released the video with these songs together and the transition intact. They have been doing a series of "flagship" concerts in Mexico each year for the last few years. They play concerts with big productions in Guadalajara, Monterrey (home town) and Mexico City. This year they slipped from late 2024 to early 2025. I am so happy that I got tickets for one of their Mexico City shows in February.
I personally didn't feel like the transition was unusual. I feel like it reminded me a bit of like how Avenged Sevenfold sometimes transition their songs live (from memory). Interesting though. I really hope they do tour Australia sometime or else I would hope to time my future travel plans so that I can go see them in whatever country i'm visiting haha!
@@SquishyJoshy Its not unusual in general. I was saying it is unusual for The Warning. I don't recall them ever doing it before which is why they release the videos together.
Harmonies (D2D) ... 🔥🔥🔥 Chaotic breakdown (D2D) ... 🤘🤘🤘 Full-stop after barreling down the railroad tracks at full speed (DK) ... 🔥🔥🔥 "I'm plucking roses, but keeping the thorns!" (DK) ... ✊✊✊
These 2 songs have been a staple of their live shows, since the release of their 2nd album Queen Of The Murder Scene in 2018, so by the end of last year, when this show happened, they had played both hundreds of time, plus the fans always complained that Dull Knives was just too short, so they extended the outro of D2D and went straight into DK, killing 2 birds with 1 stone, so a genius solution when you think about it. 🤯 For the reactions of the Pepsi Centre, I would recommend to find the full concert video and react to it song by song, there are chapters in the timeline, with the title of the songs, plus that way it included the bands interactions with the crowd in between songs and English subtitles where necessary. Also once done with the 23 performances and the mini documentary during the intermission for the Pepsi show, and the new songs from their 4th and latest album Keep Me Fed, there is their 2nd album Queen Of The Murder Scene to explore, which is a concept album, with a continuous story, consisting of an epilogue, which is D2D and 4 chapters of 3 songs each, which DK is the 2nd song of the 3rd chapter and for that one the Lunario show from 2018 contains the entire album live, with one song from their 1st album XXI Century Blood in between each of the chapters.
Unfortunately I don't think I will have the time to react to the whole show one by one (I just don't have the capacity for it), and I am currently struggling for space on my PC, but I will be picking and choosing songs here and there to react to, especially the most highly suggested ones. :)
The two songs are not normally paired together - this was a pleasant surprise, with a new bridge never heard before. They are, however, both from their second album Queen of the Murder Scene, a concept album about obsession, murder and insanity - written by a then a 15 year old, Paulina, the drummer.
Dust to dust is the first song on their second album, a concept album called QOTMS (Queen of the murder scene) and was released in 2017. Dull knifes is song number nine on the same album. It´s a killer set of songs telling a story. You do great reactions.
Thanks so much, I appreciate that. It's funny when people abbreviate the album title, sometimes I instinctively read it as Queens of The Stone Age haha!
These two songs are from the same album, but not next to one another in order... they are just both fan-faves and they created that long outro to "Dust to Dust" that then leads into "Dull Knives (Cut Better)" likely for this performance. I do know they did it prior to this concert in Guadalajara, though... from a few weeks earlier... so I am not sure how many times it was done live prior to the special Pepsi Center shows. I assume they tried it out a few times. ;-) I can only confirm the one time from Guadalajara, though.
Dull knives was a favourite but short song.. so they extended "Dust to Dust" outro and into Dull Knives... segueing the 1st and 9th songs of the concept album
Loved the reaction! React however you want! If you want to get the guitar out, do it! Most of us actually want to see how you react & not just listen to the song. Keep doing what you’re doing! They recently killed the MTV EMAs with “Automatic Sun” & did an incredible cover of Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know” from SiriusXM Studios that are worth checking out.⚡️🤘
let me have my fun!!! LOL but seriously, yeah probably should have checked if it was tuned, it wasn't TOO far off being tuned though. I did miss a couple notes in my excitement though which may be what you were hearing. Unfortunately that distortion was hard to control on the video editing software :'( but I wanted it to be distinct enough so you could tell that it was my playing over the top of theirs just so people wouldn't get confused between the two of us.
Hey brother thank you so much for noticing the snare when it comes in. So few people mentioned it. If you watch other versions of this and even in this one they cut it off but you can see that Danny always gets a little jolt, a little extra shock, right at that moment and I fucking love it. You don't really notice it until it comes in but it's all been tom's up until that point even in the first verse. The brilliance of this and the naturalness of her songwriting on the drums is so bang on perfect and in tune that it's just astounding how much I love these people. Watch other versions including the one from the cave and you'll see what I'm talking about. But what it really indicates is how well they truly listen to one another. ❤ You will want to listen to the whole lunario concert as well at some point. Trust me... it's my favorite concert that I have ever watched and I God damn wish to have been there so much it's not funny. But the sound quality of the Pepsi show is just astoundingly perfect.
Hey! thanks for your comment, yeah back in school my music teacher used to get us to really listen to what is happening in the music and that really fueled my passion for music. Once I get a chance, I'm definitely watching the full concert in my own time :D
Great reaction Josh - loved it! Two great songs from these fantastic young ladies - I've been lucky enough to see them live twice now ... just waiting for the next time as they're so good live - great harmonies, tight as a unit, and their energy is infectious!! 🤘
@@SquishyJoshy Both times were in the UK this year - April (part of European Tour). Then a one off show while they were doing the festival circuit in July. They've only just started doing Europe, and went to Japan for the first time this year. I have a friend in South Africa - he's loves them to - as do one or two others - so, I'm sure there's an audience for them in the southern hemisphere eventually mate. Andy (UK) 👍
Both song come from their second album but they are not usually played together. They extended DTD a little to make this possible. But I'm not sure they planned to move forward to the bridge to play the part. You can see Dany signaling to Ale a "let's do it" around 8:27.
Liked and subbed for your fun-to-watch reaction. You've just stumbled into a very deep rabbit hole, and The Warning Army is here to help guide you through it. Cheers!
And I appreciate all of y'all helping me. Thanks! Maybe the rabbit hole never ends~~~ hahaha. Just a heads up, I want to make it known that I do have a variety of content here, it's not all reactions and it's not all focused on one particular band/artist, but if you're OK with that then welcome! There will be more videos for The Warning though so stay tuned~
Great Reaction🎶The joy you showed is the same joy The Warning show for every performance! They were born to Rock -definitely keep your guitar ready when you do the full Queen of the Murder Scene Album 🎸 Dany gets such great riffs/tones with her guitar playing -Enjoy the journey-Everything you will see/hear regarding The Warning will impress you ❤️
my guitar is always easy access just in case any of these fun moments occur ! haha thank you for your comment. I will definitely be diving into the album at some point, most likely in my spare time though. Currently not in the position to be reacting to full albums unfortunately :(
@@SquishyJoshyI understand-A reaction to the album would be cool since it is a concept album and these 2 songs are on it -as a fan i definitely want you to hear the album -there is plenty of material by The Warning you can react to so pick what fits for you 👍
I dont say this with many rock groups, but i rarely love the live performances more than the studio versions, but with the Warning, always check live versions out first.
The Warning .... was just waiting a bit.. Yeah you Know music... Subbed !!!! ⚡ The Ladies are impossibly talented from A to Z... can't wait till you dig deeper so you can witness where the Greatness all began... vlogs / aftershow movies / home videos / interview vids / the list goes on.... over 10 years of it.. you will not be bored at a single 1 of them... believe Me... What an incredible journey for 3 Outstanding sisters and their Family that will carry on !!! D.P.A. ❤.❤.❤.
They are truly amazing. If it's anything to go by, my last few Spotify Wrapped has had me listening to over 120,000 minutes of music... so yes... I know my music! 🤣🤣 I've been a very passionate music person since as long as I can remember. Thank you so much for subscribing. My channel is a lot of variety but there will be more videos for The Warning hope you will stick around for my content creation journey! Stay tuned~~
Hey, Thank you for your comment and subscribing abd Greetings from Australia. I've been to Toronto before, Got some family up there. I kind of miss it because it was a lot cooler than the weather here right now Lol! My channel has a lot of variety, but there will be more The Warning videos to come, stay tuned :)
😆 Is that a good thing for it to be rare? Nah, not going to lie, there's plenty of us out there. I tend to be friends with a majority of introverts... maybe we just understand each other HAHA! Cheers for the comment! 👍🍻
Thank you so much! I appreciate that, It might be awhile before the next The Warning video, but I definitely have more in the pipeline. I cover a few things here from Gaming to Art/Design and Pop Culture, and it's my hope that you'll find a bunch of different things you like. Stay tuned for the next one though :)
You are going to love this band as long as you can set aside your desire for guitar solos. There ladies excel at good riffs, and only include relatively short solos if they feel it adds to the song.
Good thing I enjoy my riffs more! :D haha. I really resonate with that kind of thinking when it comes to song writing. Don't get me wrong I like a guitar solo, but it really depends on band, and the context. Does it fit the song. Does the song need it etc. Thanks for the comment! :D
hahaha! Yes well... perhaps I am relating the chorus to the chorus of "Themata" by Karnivool. Just that style of open chorus with the extended/belted vocals. Really love how choruses like that elevate the song.
Subscribed for more reactions to my favorite rock band. I am a proud patreon for The Warning and have seen them live 5 times. I need to go to one of their shows in Mexico. The Warning's sound is infectious and makes you want to sing along (learn the lyrics as they are awesome). Squishy Joshy, like you, I often get goosebumps listening to The Warning. I am a very proud patreon for one other young artist, Angelina Jordan, a self taught jazz singer who won Norway's Got Talent at age 8. She is nearing her 19th birthday and is music royalty. She has sung 16 original songs and has hundreds of 'covers' on TH-cam. Angelina has the talent to make her version of classic songs better than the original. Her most popular is her genius arrangement of "Bohemian Rhapsody" on America's Got Talent, The Champions. The surviving members of Queen loved her version so much, they allowed her to copyright it. th-cam.com/video/qF0JV28vgLw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=XHhDKFSjC2fSrdt8
Thank you so much for subscribing, while I do reactions for many artists and bands, The Warning is currently one of my favourites. Reactions however aren't the only thing that I do on this channel though, and if you're okay with seeing a variety of content, Welcome! :D I hope one day I can see The Warning LIVE in Australia, after seeing the few songs I've seen from them so far, would really love to go and see them... or maybe better yet, open for them as the supporting act 😆😆😆 You know that saying "You are the sum of the 4-5 people you hang out with" knowing how skilled musicians these 3 sisters are, imagine being able to hang out with them and be a sponge soaking up their music knowledge. Would be amazing stuff. Thank you so much for your comment. Much appreciated :)
@@SquishyJoshy Thanks for your reply. I feel so lucky to have seen The Warning in small venues, as I believe they will be playing much larger ones very soon. I look forward to your reaction to Angelina Jordan. I have never, in my 66 years, had a singing voice affect me like hers. Plus she is a great human being, humble and filled with empathy.
Actually, the ending really is a Warning thing. They usually just finish their songs like that. Boom. Done. None of those extended old style finishing sequences that I have to say used to annoy the hell out of me.
Good point about "old style finishing sequences" not being a typical Warning thing, Those endings are such a worn-out cliche after hearing them done for decades and decades. Because it's so rare for TW to do that, I actually enjoyed seeing them do it this one time, for the sheer novelty of it, and it was used thoughtfully as a segue into Dull Knives; just more proof that the Villarreal sisters are masterful at musical construction.
If you did Automatic sun from their Poland gig that entity will copyright claim it but if you do it from The Warnings own TH-cam page, from EMA or form MTV/VEVO it should pass.
Very cool.. You might want to work on your editing a bit..l. The panning in & out of the video was weird. The video was going off screen or something.. other than that. I enjoyed seeing you so excited about these brilliant sisters . ✌️
I agree on this point. There is a zoom pan that means we keep losing the secondary screen. It may be possible to do that zoom without it moving the secondary? Not sure. Minor point, but we do like to critique!
Thanks so much to both of you for your comments, I understand what you mean about the video going off screen, unfortunately there is not much I can do about this (at this point in time) especially if I want a video to be edited within a certain time frame. The way I've been filming these is using a streaming software called OBS and basically the videos I'm reacting to are burnt into the camera footage of me reacting so I don't have much control of keeping the video in frame while reacting to it. I can change the whole way I edit it, the only problem is it's just going to take more time, which I currently don't have, since this is not my full-time gig at the moment and I do not have the resources to afford an editor. My thoughts are, if people coming into watch my reactions, for the most part they already know what the original footage is that I'm reacting to, and so if some of it gets cut off it shouldn't matter too much, plus having some of it go off screen here and there help with things like Content ID and copyright claims. After all, these are -reaction- videos and while the songs are the main highlight, the secondary showcase is the -reactions-. This style of video/editing hopefully encourages the listener/viewer to check out the original video for themselves or maybe gets them to listen to more of The Warning. Reaction videos should always be seen as a complimentary extension of the original media. I'm not writing all of that because I am upset and being angry and emotional online, so apologies if you take it that way, I am just informing you of the current situation when it comes to these videos, that being said, I appreciate the critique, I am always open to hearing critique and if it's a change I can make, I am more than happy to. Some of my early reactions, I used to add a shaky-cam effect in post, to emphasize how heavy my reactions are, but too many people were complaining that it could have given them a seizure, so I just stopped with the effect and seemingly didn't have those annoying comments anymore~! LOL Anyways... that was a bit of a long reply, but thank you for your comment!
Also just one other final thing to add to that, my particular editing style, while might seem jarring at first to some, is typically a style that Gen-Z viewers are more familiar with. The fast paced cuts etc. To some degree I am catering more to that audience because I know people nowadays do not have the best attention spans and I do want to be making sure I am not wasting peoples time. In my original videos before I edit them, (also being quite introverted), I have so much gaps and pauses before I can construct a coherent sentence. A lot of the time, I make these videos because I want to get better with my self confidence, which is quite honestly in shambles hahaha
I THINK DUST TO DUST IS MY FAVE SO FAR :D

I know. We need to live a lot longer to make sure we see their entire career!
I am tumbling down the rabbit hole as we speak.
I think it's because rock just isn't mainstream anymore, and people who do like rock usually listen to oldies stations. But it will happen, and maybe very soon because Keep Me Fed has a more modern sound that might just do it for them. Anyway, we know how great they are.
Watching this concert all the way through literally made me book a flight to Mexico City and buy tickets for their shows in February.
Can't wait for Mexico City!
@@paulrowe006you guys are in for a treat. Enjoy for those who can't still catch them live.
Oh gosh, I really do need to watch the whole thing.
@@SquishyJoshy absofreakinlutely!
I'll be in Guadalajara!
She was sick and could still sing and drum with such control?! That's insane, they did a fantastic job for sure :D
@@gorddunbar7453Thinking about Pink Floyd, The Wall.😮
That's call a Commitment to their Fans.
The extended outro is badass! Love it.
These sisters are real rock stars.
⭐⭐⭐Absolutely!!
Ale wrote this bass line when she was 11
Oh so the album is kinda like a 3-act story! that's pretty cool. Dust to Dust seems like a great way to open an album to be honest. Really love the chorus.
If you want to get the full _Queen of the Murder Scene_ experience, you should go to the 2018 Lunario concert. They play the whole album in order.
Writing a whole bassline at that age is wild (in a good way of course). Interesting, I'll have to check that out. Thank you for commenting :)
These are 2 songs from their concept album, Queen of the Murder Scene. It is their 2nd album, written while still teenagers, and it is very, very good!! It is worth listening to the album songs in order to get the full experience of it. (And their channel has some vlogs where they explain the album which are cool also.)
It's a frigging master piece
They opened for Evanescence?! Wow that's awesome. That would have been a cool gig.
Thanks for the informative comment! :D

There have been so many awesome Trios out there but The Warning are definitely up there, and I still have more to listen from them! :D
Studio version of the 2 songs released in 2018 but written in 2017 and recorded earlier in 2018 they were barely 18, 16 and 13
Pau the drummer sings and drums at the same time since she plaus drums . One of her first teacher encourage her to stay on point and focused. She said in a ITW she barely pay attention on stage
I always appreciate a singing drummer. It's not an easy thing to do.
@@SquishyJoshy oh no quite difficult
Its something they started not that long ago because they gel so good, its an extended ending of Dust To Dust perfectly leads into Dull Knives intro 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
It does work pretty well :D
The Warning...learn to not expect anything. Go with their flow. They will take you awesome places. The question " Is it typical?" Good luck find a TW "typical... When most kids are 12 , many kids are still listening to the Wiggles or graduated to kiddy pop. Pau was writing songs like Revenant and Black Holes...
They're amazing just for that fact. I am also glad that they seem to draw influences from all my favourite bands growing up.
Keep in mind that these 2 songs were written and recorded when they were just 13 - 18 years old. Amazing.
Yea, that's insane honestly. Amazing talent
2 bangers in a row! Such talent in this gene pool. Great reaction thanks for posting!
Right!? Loving these songs so far. Thanks for your comment, much appreciated :D
Ale was 13 when the album was released, but just 11 when she wrote the base line for Dust to Dust. Absolutely phenomenal!
That's so interesting, thank you for your comment and that info! :D

Isn't it more of a segue...than a bridge? I'm not an expert.
@@mjc1389 The strange thing is, before they put them together, Dany used to change guitars before Dull Knives.
@@SquishyJoshylook up a video with 'Ale y su maestro' in the title to get a taste of her jazz skills at 11. It's amazing.

Does that mean the rest of their stuff, ISN'T as energetic? haha I'm only messing around. Yeah I really love Dust To Dust. Thank you for your comment!
@@SquishyJoshy hahaha. My personal opinion is that it is ALL very energetic!! I saw them LIVE twice this year in small venues so I was very close and had a blast!!

Notice the double kick drum for the last section of the song? And that is all at double time while Pau is just having a great time!
Yes. So good!!! :D
I agree, I think Live IS their super power, that's not to say that the studio version is bad, it's just the songs come alive more when they're performing it live I think :)
I'll have to check those songs out, thank you.
The Lunario concert is great to get the whole story visually too
I am definitely going to check out the full album at some point in my own time. Everyone here has been saying some great things about it :D
QOTMS runs just over 53 minutes, and it's incredible. You can find the lyrics online. Prodigy's, all three!
Great reaction my friend, you were feeling the song. Keep Rockin' my friend 🤘⚡🤘
Thanks for acknowledging that, I appreciate it. I will keep on rocking for sure! 🤘🤘
I would love to see you and @PhilZero get together. Y'all form a band and just rule the rock charts (slightly behind The Warning 🤪).
Awesome reaction!
❤️⚡🤘 Keep rock alive!
I haven't heard of PhilZero till now, but I actually really appreciate you suggesting that. Perhaps we could form a band... 🤔
Terrific reaction! Agree with you wholeheartedly. And you are one of the very few (almost none actually) who appreciate that dead stop in Dull Knives. Just sublime
People don't like that?! that's crazy! Like, it takes a lot of practice to get those right. haha.
Thank you so much for your comment :)
Thanks for the additional Info behind both the tracks! :D
These two songs are from their Concept album "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE'.....they are the best Live band in the world now and perhaps in the history of Rock,,,,,,
They are great for sure!! 😁🔥
Hola amigo.
Saludos desde la Patagonia Argentina.
The Warning nos une.
Thank you for the information, friend! :D

🤘🤘🤘
Whenever you listen to the studio version of this songs, take into consideration that they were 13, 15 and 17 at the time, both songs are from the album Queen of the murder scene which is a concept album.
Yeah, having that bit of knowledge when listening to the songs is insane. That's a great achievement for them
Nice Reaction! This concert was in Oct. 2023 and was a special show celebrating their 10 yrs. as a band. They had not been doing that bridge between these 2 songs for very long before this. These young ladies have been playing music most of their lives, from learning piano young to getting their current instruments when they were 6 to 8 yrs. old and started writing their own songs about when they were 14, 12 and 9 yrs. old.
Thank you so much. Yes I've been hearing all about how they wrote these songs from a very young age. That's crazy to me.
I have loved The Warning for so long ❤
That's so good. I am just a new fan for now, slowly making my way through their music :D
While you had me air drummer I’ve heard this song a hundred times learning it on the drums awesome reaction.
Thanks so much! I'd love to learn Dust To Dust on the drums too. It's such a good song.
You have been WARNED! 🤘🏻⚡🤘🏻
INDEED!! 🤘🤘
To my knowledge, this is the first time they've combined the songs like this. The songs are related by being on the same album, but they aren't topically similar. They sound good back to back, though..
That's interesting, I've heard both are on the same album, I should definitely listen to the whole thing later on :)
Oh no!! yeah hopefully you get to see them live! I really hope they make their way to Australia sometime too...
You need to listen to the whole QOTMS album, it's a masterpiece.
Hysteria is one of my favourite songs. I should check that out :)
She kills the bass
I think you mean that in a positive way right! Haha, I personally would have wrote it as "She kills IT on the bass" but I get what you're saying!
Great reaction!! They fire us all up!! 🕊❤️⚡️⚡️⚡️
Absolutely!! I'm gonna be checking out their collab with BAND-MAID next, stay tuned :D
Chaotic breakdown (D2D) ... 🤘🤘🤘
Full-stop after barreling down the railroad tracks at full speed (DK) ... 🔥🔥🔥
"I'm plucking roses, but keeping the thorns!" (DK) ...
For the reactions of the Pepsi Centre, I would recommend to find the full concert video and react to it song by song, there are chapters in the timeline, with the title of the songs, plus that way it included the bands interactions with the crowd in between songs and English subtitles where necessary.
They both work really well together! Still amazed by their ability to write such good songs at that age :D
Thanks for the comment!
The Warning...LIVE LIVE LIVE. Then check out some of the music videos, especially the story ones.
I checked out Evolve which was cool. I'll have to check out another. But I do really love how the live versions sound more refined. :D
Welcome to the Rabbit hole.. it only gets better from here... These ladies are going to take over the world...
Thank you! I'm sure they will! 😁😁
They work together quite well to be honest. The transition was pretty seamless!
Dull knives was a favourite but short song.. so they extended "Dust to Dust" outro and into Dull Knives... segueing the 1st and 9th songs of the concept album
I think it's a pretty clever segue for what seems to be two of their most popular songs :D
Loved the reaction! React however you want! If you want to get the guitar out, do it! Most of us actually want to see how you react & not just listen to the song. Keep doing what you’re doing! They recently killed the MTV EMAs with “Automatic Sun” & did an incredible cover of Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know” from SiriusXM Studios that are worth checking out.⚡️🤘
But preferably tune the bloody thing first, and turn the distortion down!
let me have my fun!!!
Thank you so much! I did get to see and react to the Automatic Sun video at the MTV EMAs but unfortunately that video got taken down... 5 times.
@@SquishyJoshy At least you tried…..5 times! 😂⚡️🤘
@@bdbing23 2000+ views on the original that I appealed, it got through temporarily but MTV were just like "NAH" and took it down again. haha
Go ahead and talk to us. Most of the time, I forget its not live either. lol.
Thank you! haha I just want to connect with everyone watching :)
Great reaction Josh - loved it! Two great songs from these fantastic young ladies - I've been lucky enough to see them live twice now ... just waiting for the next time as they're so good live - great harmonies, tight as a unit, and their energy is infectious!! 🤘
Gosh, I wish I could see them live here down under.
But thanks so much for your comment, much appreciated!
Andy (UK) 👍
Queen of the murder scene! Their second album and first concept rock opera. 💯% masterpiece
I'm gonna be listening to it later on in my own time :D
@SquishyJoshy it will haunt you forever!
Both song come from their second album but they are not usually played together. They extended DTD a little to make this possible. But I'm not sure they planned to move forward to the bridge to play the part. You can see Dany signaling to Ale a "let's do it" around 8:27.
Interesting! Thanks for pointing that out too. The extended outro is pretty cool!
I love seeing Dany and Ale taking center stage together and jamming.
@@sebrina8057 OH, yeah. The transition is pure fire!

I dont say this with many rock groups, but i rarely love the live performances more than the studio versions, but with the Warning, always check live versions out first.
Yeah it all depends, but The Warning seem to be next level LIVE.

There is a video of them performing this song , when they were just little kids
Which one? both? It would be interesting to check out the Dust to Dust one back then and compare it to how they perform it now haha
@SquishyJoshy ale was like 13
You are going to love this band as long as you can set aside your desire for guitar solos.
Cool to see their performances make you a bit goofy! 🤣 l mean that in a good way.
Good reaction!

Hahaha, We all need a bit of silly/goofiness in our lives.

Late to the party but I would have never ever expected anyone to compare TW to Karnivool. Wow!!
hahaha! Yes well... perhaps I am relating the chorus to the chorus of "Themata" by Karnivool. Just that style of open chorus with the extended/belted vocals. Really love how choruses like that elevate the song.
@@SquishyJoshy Well dang. I see this, and wow! So cool. I'm very much enjoying your voyage with The Warning. MORE please! 🤣

I'll keep that in mind for future videos! Thanks :D
I hope one day I can see The Warning LIVE in Australia, after seeing the few songs I've seen from them so far, would really love to go and see them... or maybe better yet, open for them as the supporting act 😆😆😆
You know that saying "You are the sum of the 4-5 people you hang out with" knowing how skilled musicians these 3 sisters are, imagine being able to hang out with them and be a sponge soaking up their music knowledge.
I'm a fan of both styles of ending songs, but sometimes you just expect it in a live context... haha it's just a crowd pleaser I guess 😆
If you did Automatic sun from their Poland gig that entity will copyright claim it but if you do it from The Warnings own TH-cam page, from EMA or form MTV/VEVO it should pass.
Unfortunately I did Automatic Sun from the MTV EMAs and it was taken down 5 times. :(
The warning is a súper band
yes they are! :D
Ale! 😎
😁👌
I can't quite place you Aussie or New Zealand
My dad was born in New Zealand and I was born in Australia, so maybe it's a mix of both! LOL
LOL
Anyways... that was a bit of a long reply, but thank you for your comment!
The best band in the world 🔥🔥🔥
🔥🔥🔥😁
