      In my country (Indonesia) we use it in daily life 😅. "Tulapia fish the size of adult palm", "Sejengkal (the length between the tip of your thumb and pinky when you spread your fingers) galangal", "One hasta (the length between the tip of your fingers and your elbow) of fabrics".
      It's not a standard use. Just some traditional measuring techniques.

      I love raw carrots but they get so yuck when they're cooked, especially for this long. Raw carrots are the best!

      Just use chicken thighs and drumsticks and you can avoid squeezing out any extra gut and stuff

    Here’s a tip for the chunjang (black bean paste). Coat your measuring spoon with oil before scooping so it slides off easily, otherwise it will get messy! This trick also works with gochujang (red pepper paste)

    I got the chance to try it out for myself yesterday - even though I substituted the chicken for tofu, since I don't eat meat anymore - but I have to admit that this was absolutely delicious!

    This looks so easy, hopefully I can find the black bean paste somewhere, we have Asian supermarket here but I've never been in! Time to go explore I think, looks amazing.
    I have dried birds eye chili peppers from my tree at home, I bet they'd go great

    I use plain flour and water instead of milk for the chicken. Same purpose to get rid the smell of the chicken.

    This Lent, I’m trying to eat fish and chicken on weekdays only and pork and beef on the weekend, sometimes. My goal is to be healthier and to exercise more.     I wish non-alcoholic substitutes would get a mention. Some people want to try but can't have alcohol coz of dietary or health requirements.

      I'm in the same boat. Googled said to use rice vinegar. 1/2 teaspoon per tablespoon to counteract the sourness. Haven't tried it yet.

      you should try to make it with king oyster mushrooms!! they'll absorb all that sauce just as if it was a piece of chicken :)

      Most U.S. grocery stores also sell white sweet potatoes. The orange ones are usually called yams. Get the other ones for this dish.
