You guys are hilarious. “I’m just gonna give you a little hint here, 3rd times the charm” you’ll are quickly becoming one of my favorite channels. Keep it up.
When I first started reading, I actually expected Viserys III to be a constant antagonistic force to Daenerys throughout her chapters. Then they boiled his head with a bucket of gold.
Favorite viserys III scene had to be when he tried to steal those eggs. Him and jorah both had some pretty good lines.idk why we set jorah up for that easy one liner.
One thing that gets overlooked his how Viserys had to spend all those years looking after his sister after having lost everything, I think I heard somewhere that the original draft was for Khal Drogo to be betraying him with the death too with Daenerys running off to find the eggs. His golden crown was also the most perfectly fitted crown. And if Viserys iii lived and Dany had her dragons back he probably could've taken one and conquered Westeros with them, his kids probably could've even married Daenerys' if Khal Drogo and Rhaego had lived and fulfilled the prophicies.
Viserys III literally get to beat up by danny while she’s pregnant so yeah, not at all and he was never a dragon rider and there’s no way he would’ve been even a quarter of the king that viserys I was
@@paulraines9635 That's because his reign as 👑 Viserys II barely lasted a year before he was murdered mysteriously by his son Prince 🤴 Aegon VI. He did his greatest contributions to the Realm as Hand of the 👑 but he was the defacto regent during the reigns of the Young Dragon and Baelor the Blessed..
But did visery II really do a good job managing daeron & baelor? He let kid daeron be king when he could have held it for a couple yrs till he came of age, yet he said let the boy be king now n he invaded dorne, lost probably close to 100,000 men whereas the dornish probs lost 5k-15k men like no one is considered good when the numbers are that bad and then he loses dorne/gets himself killed, and then baelor does all the insane faith stuff, like maybe without visery II the whole empire would collapse but maybe someone else would of handled these young kings better, tywin wouldn't have let baelor become celibate & go crazy with religion stuff, someone could have maybe kept daeron from invading dorne or at least take a better approach to it
I always knew it. Well my brother told me a long long time ago when the series was still in its infancy and he was quite convincing. Viserys, except for like how he treated Daenerys at times and somewhat arrogant, could make a good king. Of course Viserys I is kinder and stuff, but consider their backgrounds, their upbringings. Of course Viserys III is going to be vengeful against the Baratheons and their allies.
I won't lie, I disagree with many of the points in you guys' videos. But they are so goddamn hilarious I'll keep religiously watching 😂 Also, subscribed!
@@OurHiltsHurt I've watched so many videos at this point, I didn't take any notes. But they are all minor things (like Arya being S tier and King V cutting himself). Nothing worth ranting about 😂 You guys are awesome lol
lol. Vizzy III was only marginally smarter than Joffrey. Being more of a brute isn't more rational. Especially when dealing with people you should know you only have tenuous leverage over. Viserys III acted like a man who had more power than he actually did. In reality, his name's theoretical prestige was the only thing that put him above a peasant.
Right! I rewatch Game of thrones the other day after many years, and I was like POOR Viserys, he sold her sister thinking that the Dothrakis would be loyal to him so he can have an army and get his home back, he may be really dumb for trusting in that promise but can we really blame someone who has never being teach how to rule for that. While Viserys I, he literally made all the wrong decisions and there is not excuse more than he cannot handle pressure xD
Viserys I is basically a sitcom dad. Nice, bit wimpish, bossed around by everyone including his bratty daughter Viserys III is more like Skeletor, ranting and raging and very full of himself but he's so much fun you don't want anything too bad to happen to him, and genuinely regret it when he does. But when I finally read the books, by Christ the man's backstory was *tragic*.
Viserys III is a character I personally don't fully understand. On one hand, he has keen instincts that kept Dany and him from being killed by assassins. That requires a certain sophistication. On the other hand, he is so crazy and stupid that he doesn't understand a culture that's largely nothing more than robbers on horses and is honestly surprised when they cheat on him. Another reason why I believe "A Game of Thrones" (book 1) is a first draft. Many characters seem undercooked and contradictory. But ASOIAF is full of plot holes if you look closely 🤷♂
I think the best play for viserys III would have been to build some wealth in essos and to someday after roberts death send ravens to all great houses asking for an audience at dragonstone to bring the targaryens back to westeros as a respected house.
l literally love you guys. This is the most refreshing ASOIAF content i’ve seen in a while. Everytime y’all post, I know it’s time to roll, smoke and laugh till i almost piss myself and i love you for that!!
For better intelligence, the 3rd is street smart. He would have never let the dance happen cause he would have known 1) don’t make your daughter heir cause men would rather set the realm to the torch than see a woman on the throne. 2) Aemond loosing his eye, no way he would let that slide. He wouldn’t get pushed around by his council. The 1st is book smart for sure loves his books and history and he loves building Lego’s too.
@@maelguiraud3568 V III was mad drunk when that happened. If I was given a golden crown for everytime I did something stupid while drunk I wouldn't be typing this comment right now. 😂
Nah, incompetence is not worthy of praise. Viserys I fucked over his whole family and he managed to get a pass having a peaceful reign and being a “loving dad” to only one of his kids when he was both incapable as a father and a king, only keeping the kingdom together because of his authority as king and his competent hands. Viserys the beggar king fucked up because he did not respect Dothraki culture, but I don’t blame him much because he was duped and drogo did him dirty. How was he supposed to know every little custom of the Dothraki to avoid offending them? He traded Daenerys for their army’s support and was asking for the payment back, that’s normal and expected. Drogo was just an ass and Daenerys was a brainwashed ass to turn on her brother. We only hate viserys because he’s whiny and people love drogo even though he’s a savage child rapist and pillager. As much of an asshole viserys III was, drogo’s death was much deserved.
Viserys from GOT wouldn’t be called Viserys III unless he sat the thrown and wore the crown… and no, that gold crown doesn’t count. He’s just Viserys, even if he refers himself as Viserys III a couple times in the book, but no one recognizes that claim in Westeros.
viersys III biggest mistake was marrying off his sister to horse riding barbarians who don't keep there word, he would've been better off wedding her off to other lords from karf or mareen.
And viserys III never would’ve taken back the relm because the Dothraki were scared of the ocean and didn’t know how to sail so if they would’ve use the royal fleet to attack their ships, they never done ocean warfare before and they could’ve sank most ships and killed most of them to drowning and then had a huge force on land for whatever of the fleet survived and attacked them while they’re seasick and worn down from the sea battle danny had a dragons protecting her that first time she crossed and they didn’t have the scorpions prepared on the ships to take dragons down. That’s why no one opposed her coming to dragon stone in the first place
That’s it I’m tired of Vizzy T slander. Good man, and people exaggerate how bad of a king he was. The Dance was inevitable, the death of the dragons and the fall of his house inevitable, he was a good Targ, eat me.
Agree, he just should have made aegon heir and it would have fixed it but his love for his daughter stopped him every time. He was smart cunning and a good natured king
@@Cam12369 the issue would've came up again if not in another generation, the dance wasn't just about sexism but westerosi tradition vs valyrian supremacy/ targaryen exceptionalism
An interesting thing to note about Viserys I when it comes to his decision to marry Alicent over Laena is that in the show, he had already cut himself on the throne and was battling many ailments related to that and when discussing possibly marrying Laena, it was said that he'd have to wait to consummate the marriage because she was too young. If he felt like his ailments were making his lifespan uncertain, he very well couldve made the choice to marry someone that he could have children with right away. Just a thought I had 🤷♀️
I really think V3 was pampered is essos I don’t think he was raised in the hood thats why he’s so bold to ppl stronger than him cuz he’s used to always being respected I think V1 and V3 were raised the same tbh
Remember when he took his mask off at dinner and said his missing eye was ugly? Right in front of his son, who's missing an eye. Guy couldn't have been more indifferent if he tried.
Viserys mk3 sounds like he wants to end every sentence with: and I also want a pony! Like: And I would let all the dothraki and their horses grape you, and I also want a pony! He has nothing but he feels entitled to all what he thinks should be his. And a pony. A royal pony for a royal princess.
V1 is too indecisive… bro couldve reaffirmed that Rhenarya was his heir to all the lords when he was still capable of moving but waited until his death bed when nobody gonna take him seriously

@@OurHiltsHurt Can’t blame them. Considering the Targaians and their historical bloodline (also the fact she names a dragon after him) I can see why Dany loves her “Dragons” so much.
As well written as his character is, "Viserys III" isn't even real. Who was crowned, anointed and ascended the throne after Aerys II? Robert I. It still feels like a disservice that people think he's as bad as Joffrey. Circumstances made him like that more than anything. He was funny too. His main flaw was not realizing why his dad was deposed or why Robert was accepted and how he needed to show he was different to win back the throne. Viserys II is the real one compared to Viserys I. Bro said Great Council of 101 and Precedent set by the Dance.
Tbf boys, Joffrey was in the wrong and Aemond was in the right. That's the difference between Bobby Bs and Vizzy Ts inaction. Bobby only had the wolf killed so Cersei would stfu. He knew Joffrey deserved that shit lol.
In the show, it’s just so unclear how much time is passing. Without the books, it’s 50/50, maybe he has waited years on these guys and is totally justified, maybe he’s crying after 2 weeks, no way to know
Literally Dany was a king slayer and kinslayer in season 1 while she was just wet for her absolute brute Husband for whom she had the most toxic and terminal case of “I can fix him” when there was a rightful king who wanted to marry her and taught her who she was in the first place. When he says the names of the dragons in the bathtub…🐉💦
I agree on the basic argument III wouldve been better than I. However, there is a reason why I couldnt do much about Aemons eye, and thats because if he did, he admits his family isnt stable and he is a fool. Thats the last thing you want to do as king. Might be mentioned later, but he shouldve either married Rhaenyra to baby Aegon or told Alicent to shut her pie hole, his daughter WILL marry his grandson and next heir after his own, his daughter.
Also, the direwolf scene in GoTs is exactly why he had to pick his own named heirs before his spares, they were higher on the social status ladder. Robert didnt want to kill the wolf per say, but also wanted to accept kids fight and shlt happens, and parents should handle the discipline. But Cersei reminded him it was weak to basically chose the Hand over the Heir, hence why he gave in to a woman he could barely stand at that point, despite calling the Hand the brother he chose. It weakens your own word while also theirs.

ON this I fully agree. Haven't read the books or seen the entire show, but from what ive seen in season 1 of HOD, Viserys 1st basically screwed the next few generations. It was almost getting better until he had his little "I choose agon" moment.
Conquered no Burn to the ground yes. Though I do think even if he awakened them he would have died long before they were grown enough to be a threat. Viserys is just not cautious and unlike dany that can bang men to make them allies viserys can't really do that

I want (need) y'alls opinion on young Griff, because book Viserys III absolutely gets set up for failure by Varys and Illario
We haven't talked about it much, but Young Griff might be my top pick to sit the iron throne rn
We will talk about it a lot probably during the HotD off season
You guys are hilarious. “I’m just gonna give you a little hint here, 3rd times the charm” you’ll are quickly becoming one of my favorite channels. Keep it up.
When I first started reading, I actually expected Viserys III to be a constant antagonistic force to Daenerys throughout her chapters.
Then they boiled his head with a bucket of gold.
Bro, you should make a video why Rhaegar Targaryen was an evil bastard.
Oh yeah we have that in the tank for later
@@OurHiltsHurt I look forward to it☺️

Viserys III literally get to beat up by danny while she’s pregnant so yeah, not at all and he was never a dragon rider and there’s no way he would’ve been even a quarter of the king that viserys I was
Honestly I think Visarys II is the best one. Am I alone in this?
For real he might have been the best king pound for pound
They didn't even put him in Four Kings, how great could he be?
@@paulraines9635 That's because his reign as 👑 Viserys II barely lasted a year before he was murdered mysteriously by his son Prince 🤴 Aegon VI. He did his greatest contributions to the Realm as Hand of the 👑 but he was the defacto regent during the reigns of the Young Dragon and Baelor the Blessed..
Greatest Hand of all time.

41:09 in defense of Aegon 2nd: boi has the chadiccus dragonest good boi- Sunfyre.
"You wanna know why? Cuz I don't GIVE a fuck!" - Viserys III
My favorite Vizzy 3 quote
He’s literally Daemon with no dragon or house bonuses 😂
lol yup. Without a dragon he is cringe to so many.

Nice, bit wimpish, bossed around by everyone including his bratty daughter
Viserys III is more like Skeletor, ranting and raging and very full of himself but he's so much fun you don't want anything too bad to happen to him, and genuinely regret it when he does.
Don't fear the piss... Let it flow like the blackwater rush
He's street smart sure that's why he mocked the dothrakis in their own temple thinking he wouldn't be harmed
@@maelguiraud3568 V III was mad drunk when that happened. If I was given a golden crown for everytime I did something stupid while drunk I wouldn't be typing this comment right now. 😂
i honestly find viserys iii to be an incredibly interesting character (specifically in his youth)
Agreed.
Y’all have gotta have the worst takes in history😂 I love these videos man so entertaining
It's fax, WDYM?
you mean the best takes in GOT
lol oh come on you know we are right
I thought their whole thing was bad takes, that’s why I watch them at least because it’s funny af
True. But he calls himself the third and is known as the Beggar King. That’s gotta count for something right?
Didn't his mother crown him as heir apparent since dany wasn't born yet and nobody had any idea about jon?
viersys III biggest mistake was marrying off his sister to horse riding barbarians who don't keep there word, he would've been better off wedding her off to other lords from karf or mareen.
Yall have some of the wildest and most fun GOT takes I've ever seen. Although I completely disagree, this is another fun and entertaining video.
Viserys III definitely had the most awesome death between the two. He died with a magnificent crown of gold.
I fucking love this channel, how does it only have 5 k subscribers……
I think it is because the old gods hate us
That’s it I’m tired of Vizzy T slander.

Viserys the first was such a shit father to his kids with alicent
He was a coward.
Exactly, if you don't want kids, just don't marry.
He is the only one to blame for their behavior
Remember when he took his mask off at dinner and said his missing eye was ugly? Right in front of his son, who's missing an eye. Guy couldn't have been more indifferent if he tried.
Both Viserys also had siblings that were dragon riders while not having that privelige during their "reigns".

Switch the roles of each character and its no doubt who the better Targ is.

Viserys deserved better
5:09 his kid got his eye cut out by his GRANDKID
