I think I first saw the Aggie Band some 70 years ago, sitting in the bleachers at a TCU v. aTm football game. The emotions I had then were like the ones you felt and described...and those emotions return every time I see or hear them...just like three minutes ago.
My late husband marched in high school too. He told me blowing that trumpet, counting your steps, making sure that stride was in sink with everyone else wasn’t easy. That was a P.E. credit that was well earned!

I was in a marching band in high school. Let me tell you this is no easy feat. Lots and lots of practice in those formations. Hats off to the mighty A&M band.
I was in high school marching band (Pasadena High School) 1975-1979 and then in college from 1979 to 1983...and you are right, this takes WAY more hours just to learn the marching let alone the rehearsals on the music and the private lessons and practicing of each of the individual students. I was lucky enough to be in a special HS band. Performed in Cotton Bowl parade and halftime show in 1973. We had a national record of 19 straight years of Sweepstakes awards, it grew to 34 years before a group messed up and earned only a second division rating in sight reading. For a band to earn a Sweepstakes, they must earn a first division rating in Marching. A first division rating in sight reading and a first division rating in Concert performance. My band did this for 34 years!! We've been invited to perform in every national parade and professional sports venue. Our choir had a command performance before Queen Elizabeth II, the year after our Rose Bowl invitation and Cotton Bowl performance. We were only a 3A size school small, but mighty. We practiced 10 to 15 hours a week, we performed new halftime shows each week. We had only 3 months to perfect our Concert performance. We won every type of competition we entered even against the 5A HS in Houston and Dallas. But it took dedication, practice and love of music and our band mates.❤❤❤
My brother went there in 1988-92, and was in the superb Corp of Cadets. I recall the excellent band and to this day absolutely love watching them. The spirit of the crowd is amazing and no one leaves at halftime seriously! Now my daughter goes there and my nephew. Yay.
I am Brazilian and lived in Texas for over 3 years. Had a great time and made good Texan friends. This post shows Texans hard working and commitment. Go Aggies!

They aren't soldiers. Not yet anyway. They are part of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets which undergo ROTC training while at the university. Many will go on to become officers in the US military after graduation.
The very first time I saw the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band was a few years ago when they came to Auburn University for the game. I have never in my life been impressed by a halftime band until then. I have bragged on them ever since then to all that will hear it. I now look forward to the game when TAMU comes to town. Keep up the good work, and continue to be proud of what you have. Jud Powell they had somebody write a computer program to help them create new ways to march because they thought marching like this was damn near impossible. So no not any high school band can do that.

Hello from England, the complexity of the marching and playing musical instruments at the same time boggles my mind, I'm worn out I need to lie down, that was amazing to watch, well done to everyone.
As a loyal TCU fan I always enjoyed watching the Aggie Band when A&M came to Fort Worth for a football game( back in the olden days of the SWC.) They are and remain a great symbol of the state of Texas! Hats off to a fantastic group of great people! 👍
This is truly a brilliant and very touching performance thoroughly enjoyed!! Imagine a world focused on beauty in all its forms, especially kindness without a hint of physical or mental aggression against any being. Just a heart warming thought.
I was in the Australian Army for 2 years and when we were learning to do our parade marches is was hard getting the timeing right and finally getting it so we were all working together took weeks. It was nothing compared to this though. Watching this brought tears to my eyes. This must have taken months to get right. Very impressive. Never been to an American baseball game or football game but this would be amazing to watch live. Fantastic!
I NEVER get tired of watching the Aggie Band perform. That is procession and I have not seen another college band achieve such excellence (excluding the military academies).
Maggie S - This is mind boggling - They should be at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. When watched 2020 - it didn't seem to happen the same day as the game - just as brilliant. True team work. May you stay well & safe in these slightly chaotic times. Rgds New Zealand
I'm all about the football and never watch the halftime shows. That said, this was something very special. A very well schooled, well disciplined band with an incredible show. Thank you for posting.
Stan Watkins The halftime shows were the only part I was interested in and until they get straightened out about how to respect our country and our flag I don’t give a hoot about football players. The place that gives them the opportunity to make tons of money and they hate it. It’s just not right.
Sean Hernandez Aggie and would lose badly dci is really competitive also dci does a lot of practice watch Babylon by Santa Clara band or Metamorph by the blue devils

A&M has a spirit I’ve not seen on any other campus!! And the band is outstanding! The straightest lines, sharp turns and spot on with the music!! Miss not going to any. My husband was an Aggie and made me a Aggie want to be.
There’s a spirit can ne’er be told 👍🏼
What Class?
Corps or Non-reg?
came across the "aggies" by mistake but glad I did! I'm English born and bred, but appreciate marching bands - kudos to whoever choreographs the "aggies" routines, a huge BRAVO from UK 👍👍👍!!!
I have never seen anything like this... NEVER EVER EVER.. ABSOLUTELY SPELLBINDING... AWESOME... THANK YOU 👍👍👍🇺🇸May Rose🙋🌹3-9-22GA USA. My...My...Texas!!!
I lived close to my high school growing up and would hear them every autumn, practicing in the afternoons. Love seeing this great display.
This was by far better then any NFL Superbowl halftime show
Gig em
Bring back taste and morals
Amen to that!
Jon Armstrong Bet you stand up when they play! Great video!
@@chaist94 Thanks Chris but I knew that. Was wondering about the people in the crowd though.
In my 65 years i have NEVER seen such PERFECTION .... just love it 😍😍😍😍😍
Absolutely Fantastic Much Respect. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
From Roll Tide Land - big ups for a visually stunning show! I haven't stopped to watch a band in decades, but this was well worth it!
Every single member is Personification and embodiment of Discipline and hardwork !!
Beyond impressive!
In a time when so many bands do cutsie pictures and formations the Aggie band still does it right. Always nice to watch.
C'est très impressionnant, bravo et merci à ces personnes de nous proposer un tel spectacle, j’imagine que derrière tout ça il y’a beaucoup de travail et d’efforts.
Mind BLOWN! I was a high-school bank kid but we never had marching band. I can only imagine the preparation that went into this! AMAZING!!!!!
This was unbelievable! Absolutely unbelievable. How could someone give this a thumbs down, I don't understand. The precision and timing alone required such concentration. Kudos!
Absolutely amazing! Such precision and coordination. Kudos to them all and especially to the choreographer.
Love it. Brings back memories when I marched with band.
The crowd! The precision! Wow, I've never seen anything like that. Texas pride!
Over the moon, as some say.
North Korea does it better. Military parades are hot garbage.
@@themarbleking: North Korea does it better? Which university in North Korea are you referring to?
What a wonderful rhythm! What work and what commitment! What contagious enthusiasm! The crowd and its soldiers are like a big heart beating before my eyes. Completely admiring 😍
😘From Paris👏
I'm from Paris too! Paris, TN.
@@denicesanders4586 ,
Oh, I was hoping you were going to say Paris, TX, but that's okay. We'll allow all kinds of foreigners to appreciate our Aggies. 😉
They aren't soldiers. Not yet anyway. They are part of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets which undergo ROTC training while at the university. Many will go on to become officers in the US military after graduation.
Greetings from Germany / Cologne, that's amazing
Absolutely wonderful.
UK - Nobody puts on a show like America.
Bravo! I loved it. X
War Eagle and Gig 'em!
all they do is march back and forth....any high school band can do that
Jud Powell they had somebody write a computer program to help them create new ways to march because they thought marching like this was damn near impossible. So no not any high school band can do that.
d_rob8612 come down to Kyle Field. We would love to have you. I promise you will be taken care of. 👍
me too, from Thailand
You have to see them live to understand. No other way does them justice. 👍
Simply phenomenal! The crowd of Aggie cheers supporting these amazing talented fighting Aggies is electric!
Outstanding sincronzation beautifully orchestrated A&M never disappoints!
Gig Em Aggies! 🏈💕👣💫 Shining Stars of our God's goodness are you all bonafide team spirit personified yeah everybody!
Fascinating to watch, what a great coordination ! Impeccable timing, impressive.
All the way from noles country. WOW that's what you call a marching band. Love it
This is truly a brilliant and very touching performance thoroughly enjoyed!! Imagine a world focused on beauty in all its forms, especially kindness without a hint of physical or mental aggression against any being. Just a heart warming thought.
I love watching the different marching traditions from around college sports.
Me too.
Fantastic!
Please come visit us!
@@Oceangirl_505 ur countrys gone to shit no one should visit u
definitely better than their football games.
When I went to A&M I only went to games to see the band. Didn't care about sports.
I NEVER get tired of watching the Aggie Band perform. That is procession and I have not seen another college band achieve such excellence (excluding the military academies).
Poetry in motion; lots and lots of hard work. Never get tired of watching this
Maggie S - This is mind boggling - They should be at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
When watched 2020 - it didn't seem to happen the same day as the game - just as brilliant.
True team work. May you stay well & safe in these slightly chaotic times. Rgds New Zealand
I'm an LSU group. THE AGGIE half time always got standing ovations . Since1961
I'm all about the football and never watch the halftime shows. That said, this was something very special. A very well schooled, well disciplined band with an incredible show. Thank you for posting.
James Shaffer this is what is missed every week at college games on tv!!!!!
Thanks for let me watch this wonderful well trained marching band.
Mind-blowing precision. That was incredible.
Absolutely the best, greatest ,most enjoyable precision able group. Thanks-so much…
Wonderful. I wish the television companies would allow us to see the bands like they used to .
Yes
Many folks prefer halftime highlights and watching sports announcing jocks talking about what the teams should do in the second half.
It’s all about that corporate commercial sponsorship money
Stan Watkins The halftime shows were the only part I was interested in and until they get straightened out about how to respect our country and our flag I don’t give a hoot about football players. The place that gives them the opportunity to make tons of money and they hate it. It’s just not right.
This is why I stopped watching all televised football games. None of the traditions left.
Incredible wonderful Amazing, God bless America and Texas, greetings from France.
Bravo. The best well thought out halftime.. Magnificent!!!
I'd rather watch the band than the game.
Nedra McCaig there’s DCI
Small Anal man imagine the fightin Texas Aggie band in dci
Sean Hernandez Aggie and would lose badly dci is really competitive also dci does a lot of practice watch Babylon by Santa Clara band or Metamorph by the blue devils
I'd rather watch Asian porn.
@@lapdog1479 ...Nobody's stopping you. And nobody forced you to watch this video of this awesome band.
TH-cam always puts this video on the list and I always watch it until the end. Perfect performance. ❤️👏💯
Greetings from Elizabeth City where the ECHS Band and NHS Band did goalpost to goalpost. Excellent show guys......superior technique.
So good!!! Gave me goosebumps! Congrats to everyone involved! True feat of dedication and teamwork!
That's just simply gorgeous! You can tell they put so much time and efforts to present the performance.
Wow, they are incredible and amazing to watch!!! Very impressed with their marching!!!💖
Incredible so clever and perfect, they look like they are on wheels, whoever choreographed this and participated needs a gold medal out of this world.
Do you believe there's an afterlife? What do you think what happens when you die?
Are you a good person? Let's put that to test through some of the 10 commandments: Have you ever lied? (Even a white lie) Have you stolen anything irrespective of it's value? (music downloaded illegally off the internet, a pencil, etc.) Have you taken God's name in vain? (Example, Om-g, Or saying the name Jesus when you hit your foot on accident, etc) Have you ever looked at someone with lust? (Jesus says if you even look at a women or man with lust, you've committed adultery with them in your heart)
If you've broken even one of the commandments, (And there's more than just 10 if you read the new testament) you're guilty of all.
James 2:10
[10]For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
So if you die today, God is rightly justified in sending you to hell. But God takes no delight in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn and live.
Now what did God do for sinners that we wouldn't have to go to hell?
He sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins.
So Jesus (God manifested in the flesh) came down and dwelt among us to be a sinless sacrifice for our sins.
Leviticus 17:11
[11]For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’
So there's two things you must do to be saved. You must repent and put your faith in Jesus.
When you repent, you don't just simply confess (Especially to a priest... Catholics aren't Christian)
But when you repent, you must express sorrow and great remorse and regret over your sins because your sins have offended a holy God. And after you've don't that you must COMMIT to not sin ever again because it offends God and because God gives you the strength to overcome. So don't wallow in your sin.
And when you put your faith in Jesus, put your faith in Him as you would in a parachute.
And after you do this you will pass from death to life and you will be granted forgiveness and mercy from God and He will replace your heart of stone with a heart of flesh with new desires and you will then love to do that which is righteous rather than desire sin that is only pleasurable for a season.
Thanks and God bless you whoever sincerely reads this with a humble heart. If you need prayer, give me your name and let me know whatever you may be dealing with and I'll pray for you.
@@gumbojumba6282 why are you repeating yourself? Geez.
This is an absolutely superb display of coordination, teamwork and dedication. I salute you all.

Omg, that's freakin' amazing!!!
I can only imagine how many arduous hours of practice it took to do that so perfectly!!!
Parents be PROUD!!!
Holy cow!!! This is something to behold!
Incredible....
Love this band! At the very end of this video -when the second to the last band member (leaving the field) waits on the last band member - my heart just smiled! The comradery of this band is beautiful.
Exactly the comment I wanted to make as well!
Good observation. Those sousaphone players have to stick together.
Yea, that was great. A fellow Tuba player’s version of ‘No man left behind’.
Excellent concept and excellently coordinated presentation !! 👌👌👌
With 💖 from 🇮🇳
I’m a Gamecock fan but damn!! A&M has a band like no other. I enjoyed the hell out of this video. Thank you for sharing it.
