Learning the timing on the fly for super assists was throwing off some of my combos. I tried to double Super Assist in one combo with both Deadpool and Hulk in the last match lol
I know in Heroes vs Heralds, there's a parry card that also allows you to (very annoyingly) parry during hitstun and combos for some dumb reason, you can basically quadruple the duration of supers and really throw off your enemy's timing.

So sick... for teams like DXPs that can really benefit from x-factor, how bout 3.5 bars for a shorter x-factor level 3 (for any character at any time)? I think that'd be boss with Supertags and raise the bar for insane parries
Umvc3 is one of the most fun fighting games I ever had played, I've played it since 2013 on vanilla mvc3 and still play it in 2020. I never had more enjoyment achieving something new than doing it in umvc3, although the netcode is low tier, I still have tons of fun playing with different people all over the globe. I never had a game that makes me think I can do more, than umvc3 does. It may not be the best marvel vs capcom, but it is the most fun experience I ever had in a fighting game.
i think 1.5 meters for x counter isn't expensive enough. just make it 2 bars since building bar in this game isn't that difficult anyway and we don't constantly see characters bouncing off walls lol. i think air dash should only be given to some characters and not most but everyone should have a double jump except for the few that they decided not to give it to (think it was storm and racoon). and are tac's still in this version? hoping they just take that out completely. other than that i'm reeeeaally liking how this is coming out. hope it can officially become a regular in tourneys. shoutout to the maker, tysoncodings and thanks @MarlinPie for giving this version a platform!!
This is what I've been saying. It's one of the hypest fight mechanics known to fighters, and removing it doesn't accomplish much besides removing viable options and play strategies (there goes Phoenix), which I never like to see. How bout compromise and best of both worlds: At the beginning of each match, players can CHOOSE either X-Factor Cancels or a (toned down or shortened) X-factor buff that 's always on for the tagged in character. In my mind, this would add significant depth to team building and meta while keeping us X-factor insanity fans fat and happy :)
Cool video! I'm wondering, have you tried the Arcade Edition mod? It's like a balancing patch that buffs low tier characters. If you didn't try ityet I think you should give it a look
I’d like to see players choose at the beginning of the match - either x-factor cancels or x-factor, or throw in parrying for three abilities that function like the stones did in infinite, so now we see how KBRs air dashing, x-factor canceling Hagar vs Sacktaps x-factor Arthur, etc. imho the meta would be off the chain
@Ryan Stewart I don't do character mods. what I do is entirely different from what the modders do. you should ask these questions to them. I'd advise against requesting character mods from them though. if you want a character mod done, it would be better if you do it yourself and ask them about the tools they use. just a heads up to anyone reading this, I do not check youtube comments that often. if you have a question for me specifically in regards to PMVC3, then tweet at me.
