  • In terms of comparing the Radical MP and the Pro, I would say the MP is more forgiving, powerful and easier on the arm. I think 80% of players should go for the MP and if you want more weight, you can always customize it. I enjoyed the MP more and preferred a softer string setup with a hybrid over a full bed of poly.

It is a nice frame I hit with the MP for about 2:30 hr a day and is fantastic, very friendly racquet

It definitely is a nice frame to hit with. It took me a bit of an adjustment period when I first started using it but it was definitely an easier to use and more friendly control racquet than others that are out right now.

Got it a couple days ago wanting a control racket that gives me a tad more power than my previous racket (dunlop cx200). Feels fantastic so far. Im stringing it with solinco confidential 1.20

Seems like a nice set up! Let me know how it feels after the string has settled and you’ve been playing with it for awhile

Have you tried the Head Radical MP 18/20. If so what are your thoughts?

I have not had the chance to hit the Radical MP 18/20. That's a pro-stock racquet right?

@@brodytaylor2020 Brody no it’s not I got mine from Tennis Express other than the 18/20 the RA is 66. That is the only differences from the 16/19.

Thank you for letting me know about that! I was not aware that they had made that racquet. It makes sense since the Wilson Blade and Pure Strike have the 18X20 string patterns available as well. That is definitely one I will have to see about getting a demo of.

How is the launch angle? I am demoing it right now and the launch angle seems low in my first 10 minutes of hitting with it.

Launch angle I would say was a little bit low in my opinion but I tend to have a more flat forehand rather than focusing on heavy topspin so I did not mind as much. Do you know what string and tension that is in the racquet?

@@brodytaylor2020 Thank you for the answer. I tend to hit flat as well. The demo racquet came with some generic poly and synthetic string hybrid. I have been comparing it with the ezone 98. While the ezone 98 is more powerful, the MP feels more well rounded.

Gotcha. I am actually demoing an EZONE 98 right now so I think it is interesting you had this comment. Having a poly/synthetic gut hybrid may also be one of the reasons you are seeing the lower launch angle. I haven't really seen many people use a hybrid like that because they tend to lose the playability from the synthetic gut much quicker compared to the poly and sometimes feels like the strings are fighting each other rather than helping each other.
