Gravity MP for me (graphene, pre auxetic) (toroline caviar mains, restring sync crosses @54 lbs) Looking forward to January I love seeing the new releases and updates and watching the videos! 🤓
Surprised to see a new radical already! I was clearly looking forward to both the Gravity 98 Tour and the new Ezone, the latter will be a bigger deal considering Yonex make big upgrades when they do a proper release. Keeping fingers crossed they get rid of VDM!
We shall see if they get rid of it. I haven’t inspected the racquet too much to see if they did but if I remember to check I will definitely let you know!
@@brodytaylor2020 yes I used the first version and didn't like it, I found it vague so sold it on. Picked up a shoulder injury so went with the Clash 98 V2 as I saw it on at a sale price so thought I would give it another try. Used it for 3 sets yesterday and again thought it was not too bad at all and I enjoyed it and no shoulder pain. I miss the power of my Ezone but apart from that the Clash does everything else really well in my opinion although it doesn't seem to get good reviews so I must be in the minority!!
@@markhibbitt1269 did you go from Ezone to Clash? You downgraded. Ezone is an amazing racket that is powerful, consistent and stable. I started with clash as a beginner, 4 years ago. Perfect racket for beginners.
@@nicolasX2602 Nope I havent downgraded, I still use my Ezone, but as you will see from my comments I picked up a shoulder injury so using the Clash from time to time just to keep on playing on a regular basis so managing the injury. I have used the Ezone 98 3 or 4 times every week for the last two years so it is my racket of choice and I would highly recommend it to anyone that asks. Just dont think the Clash V2 is as bad as everyone seems to make out!!
Great video and I look forward to seeing these racquets when they come out! Have you ever watched Intuitive Tennis on TH-cam? He says that if you have tennis elbow you should use a stiffer more responsive racquet. Any thoughts on this? I’m dealing with tennis elbow right now so I’m doing a lot of research on it.
It is bs. His reasoning is flawed. There is a general consensus that stiff rackets are harsher on your arm. A soft frame bends and absorbs the energy of the ball like that. A stiffer frame doesnt bend that much and thus it sends more energy (shock) to your arm. Tennis elbow is caused by a bad technique (hitting the ball late with bend arm, off centre, not using your body to generate power but just your arm). If your technique is perfect then you might use whatever you want and have no issues but if you already have tennis elbow it would be really stupid to use a stiff racket. Every bad technique is punished way more by a stiff frame.
@@kkarx there’s some truth to Intuitive Tennis’ logic though. If your technique is flawed/bad and causing TE then you’ll have even more pain from using a more flexible racket. As you will have to swing it harder to achieve similar power and depth on your shots compared to a stiffer racket. Bottom line, improve your technique and maybe start with something in mid stiffness range like 64-65 RA?
Speeds are the most comfortable of all the racquets I’ve tried, I’ve had golfers elbow for about 7months this year, got it initially from 2 x 3hr sessions on court with the Extreme Tour which is flexible but also it’s too light and unforgiving on mis hits which I had quite a few after 10yrs off the court…weekly physio etc..and it just lingered, even gave it a couple weeks rest to be pain free but it came back as soon as I’d hit until I went back to Speed Pros which I’d always used previously and never had issues back then…pain disappeared so I’m staying with the Speed…100sq head and 23mm nice flex beam is as good as you’ll get for comfort👌
@@TheTennisDaddy Head Speeds are really nice! I think another super important aspect of preventing TE is to have swing weight around or even above 330. I use two Yonexes: newer 2021 Vcore 95 (RA 64) and older 2010 RDiS 93 (RA 68), both 16x20 and both leaded to SW of 335. Stiffer RDiS 93 never causes TE and not string sensitive at all while more flexible Vcore sometimes does despite having lager sweetspot and it’s a very string sensitive racket.
@ agreed, that plough through weight goes a long way providing you have the strength and technique to swing it properly…I found my Prestige Tour at 350g (unsure of SW) was friendly on my arm compared to my Extreme Tours purely from that ball collision being so effortless…unfortunately it’s just a little more demanding in matches than the Speeds but hitting with it is bliss
There's a few more lines that you've missed. You've got: Yonex Regna (Japan exclusive), Head Boom (ETA Wimbledon 2025), Head Prestige (ETA US open 2025).
As far as I know it’s a full lineup update with the addition of the Gravity 98. Now I can’t say that for sure because I wasn’t able to sit in the racquet spec meeting but that would be my guess

How do you know what will be the paint job of Clash V3? Can you describe it?
Since you don’t think you’re allowed to talk about the new Radical. I’ll comment on it since I’ve seen it…. Going back to the full bright orange cosmetic we saw 2 versions ago. Not quite as bright but doesn’t look good at all compared to current
Dunlop updated the FX200 last year, might have to demo the SX300…Dunlop seems to be getting it together
I’ve always been a fan of Dunlop but you are definitely right that their newer models are getting even better
Super excited for the ezone finally! Curious to see what changes do they make.
Cool that you are receiving review rackets now
Thank you!

That’s an interesting string setup! How did you come up with it?
You should definitely have more subscribers
Thank you so much! I hope I can reach more people and get the information out there to the people who need it
I was told the radical will be even more funky shiny orange than now.. hoped they would go for a more subtle colorway..😢
Its blue/pink/white spray paint theme
@@ColdBrew_1nah that was a custom China release
Unfortunately I can say it definitely isn’t subtle this time around
I hope they make it ultra obnoxious 😂

Radical just came out I feel like. Head going too fast between changes
It’s weird, they update every two years which feels like so often compared to other brands.
With so many lines, Head could (and should) easily slow down the cycle to 3 years from about 2.
I’ve thought that too about how fast they update racquets
Curious how the new sx 300 will be. Loved the sx 300 ls
I’m curious too. I have older SX’s that I use as testing racquets so I’m quite excited for it
Clash! I’m playing V2 but sorry actualy like it a lot :) so new version very accited for!
I recently picked up the Clash 98 V2 and likewise I quite like it. Only used it a handful of times but I don't think its that bad!!
That’s awesome that you like the Clash V2 a lot! Had you ever tried the first version of your specific Clash?

I haven’t heard about that one but it would be cool if it happened!
Is gravity update only on adding a 98 tour ? Or it’s a full lineup update?
Most likely a full line update that includes a new sibling.

It’s pretty much all black with the ‘Wilson’ logo in red inside the upper hoop. Looks nice.

Wilson ultra v5?
Can not believe he missed the TFight 2025
Yonex, top top top!!
The graphics budget on this video must have been exorbitant 😀
Totally 😂
SX line and pure aero is very different. pure aero is a lot better
