Thumbs up, this new concept i'm loving it.
The moment TOMMY catwalks towards the table; it feels like Xmas! Explosive is his personality, he charismaticly owns this vlog. His truth, vulnerability and courage makes him lovable.
It is never the sampan, it is always the waves! Indeed, we must always respect the grieving process. The process is different for everyone; the me time moment is so important.
TOMMY, you are LOVED! He is one great Malaysian! There are plenty more out there.
Thank you ichang, once again for showing us the rich beautiful diversity of Malaysia.
"Ok getting excited"..Tommy said..its hilarious..what a wonderful interview..❤
Wow it's really a great sharing experience. 😊
K I suka this new style of content.
Love Tony's attitude and story.
Looking forward to the people you will interview in the future.
Every time I balik kampung, KL. I will make time to visit this place; not Tommy Le Baker, but, Balaibuku Raya.
It's a bookstore that is run by my old friend, Alin.
To date, the only bookstore that has a vast collection of nusantara scriptures and books.
I could sit there for hours browsing the shelves or read some books and of course, everytime, they'll be one or two or three books I buy.
Whoever loves books and especially nusantara scriptures, go have a look yourself.
This is a good idea and concept...Maybe next time, you didn't eat first..just hangout and eat with the guest..This really remind me with one of my fav channel; Korean Englishman....looking forward to more of this with different guest...keep it up guys...
Love love love this kind of deep inspiring talk. True, nowadays we tend to be in a zombie mode so often. We forgot how to love the real thing that we love and focus on something more acceptable and "in trend", which is rapidly changing nowadays, it's hard to keep up. We must teach ourselves to slow down a bit, embrace while cherishing the present moments, not always always always worrying about the future, and please don't be too hard on our own selves ❤
when you discover the core of strength within you that survived all challenges✨
Love Tommy's sourdough and sandwiches. Smoke salmon and roast beef my favorite.
“Storms make trees take deeper roots.”
I agree with the difference between European bakery & our bakery, & I prefer the European kind. No need any fancy fancy bread types... I've never been to France before but I've been to Germany... & walking into even a small bakery there is so satisfying~!
Anyway, love this type of video... please do more of these. Food & travel might satisfy us for 1 day or maybe 1 week... but maybe we can get a lot more insight & experience from interesting people.
While watching your video, i quickly check whether the bakery is halal or not... I'm SO HAPPY, the google said its halal. I need to try this soonest possible. Thank you ichang n jimmy n tommy
❤❤❤
wow wow and wow... never though malaysian enrich themselves with a mighty culture n teach us with it.... now i know why i like to watch ichang....
What a treat to listen to 3 people with the most beautiful hearts❤ Thank you dear Tommy for always speaking your truth..
Thank you so much for introducing us to Tommy❤ Universe Salwah San 😌🙏🏻
...I don't know (yet) why, but there's tears in my eyes listening to Tommy's words to the end. Thanks again iChang and Jimmy for sharing this with us. Some people might find (back) their dimming lights from this, me included.
What an astute man Tommy is. His description of his mental health challenge is very descriptive and also very helpful to others too. Sometimes it is just natural to let go and see what happens.
I like how Tommy describe the process so well.
Had a chance to meet Tommy once, and we spend 2-3 hours chatting. A pleasant person to be with, totally captivated by his stories.
Tommy is good story teller, when he talk about it...i can imagine it, picture it in my mind just like watching short movie.
Loved this video iChang! Really inspired by Tommy. Coincidentally, i just went to his bakery and enjoyed his delicious breads. Love this new concept to showcase inspiring Malaysians and their life story!
Thank you so much for your warm words Diego🥳🥳🥳
this format is even better, i love listening to unique person experiences, it expand our mind and let us explore into others people mind, thats beautiful
Thanks for bringing this good sharing Ichang & Jimmy. Its very inspiring, as we know everyone in the world have different story of life...the way Tommy telling his story was very deep and inspiring. ❤
very inspiring in this interview...
hope you will succeed just like tommy
happiness is the key, feel genuinely happily is way of life.. trust the flow
Thank you iChang team for providing us ordinary malaysian folks with entertaining videos. Maybe it has not been said enough but do believe that your content offered a little bit of something in everyone's life. For me i would know what to expect from your videos cos i have been following you since your durian days while you were both based in HK. Your videos never fail to make me smile and sometimes i will watch your videos together with my whole family as well. Continue to be proud that your videos are making impact to all us malaysians from different background and races.
I understand that Zombie part. Thanks for sharing ❤
I like how this video brings both - the wonderful food and the creative mind behind the food! Am glad that it’s not the usual interview which yes, has been done by others, but this gives different insights and new learning. Thank you for experimenting with this new format ☺️👍🏼
I've been to that bakery in Kg Attap. Very nice! I'm glad they just opened a branch in Duta Tennis Centre because I can just hang out there after a tennis session! Made the place more lively 😆
from now on.. I'm just know this person who make a roti at France ...nice inspired sharing
He has been sharing his breadmaking journey for more than 15 years. Know him earliest from Astro Chinese channel
Thanks for this! This is special content which I find interesting and informative.
lepas ni habisla ramai beribu org beratur kedai pakcik ni...jimmy n ichang dh pecah rahsia😅
Love ❤this episode. Always awe inspiring. Well done Tommy!😂
I love your new content concept. Please meet more inspirasional people that can inspire us.
Travelling solo to France is wonderful iChang. Fantastic! Malaysians like traveling in groups.
Done that in Cote d'Azur, Mediterranean is simply gorgeous
Inspiring episode. Everyone has his or her story to tell, up to us to listen ( really listen) and learn.
The baguette sounds so crunchy not like here a bit springy(liat).. Looks delicious
Meant to be crunchy but the Turkish ones are better
Wow...contant yang menarik😊
Malaysia style! Before talking , lets eat FIRST! 😂
Ichang and Jimmy, please dont go. You always finds something that is really interesting like foods, places and people in the hidden gems. I bet some of the Malaysian including me didnt know there is such a thing. I hope our government can redo or change the Norma Rantau to continue to stay here and makes more intersting videoas
Inspirational to meet rare people with lots of experiences
I'm love this new concept. So inspiring. Great job Jimmy & Ichang. I'm laughing when Jimmy said to Ichang "serious face again" then Ichang said "Jimmy with hamsap face and Ichang with serious face" 😂
Tommy, you inherently have inner strength; you were temporarily overwhelmed and needed respite to once again communicate with nature’s healing power. All the best.
Loves it! Please do more inspirational stories 🎉
Such a beauuutiful episode!!! Always admire & love Tommy… his sharing is so inspiring & insightful! Now he’s making me really wanting to pick up another language! And he’s absolutely right, when I speak English, i think differently.. similarly when i speak Mandarin or Malay or Hakka… and yes, it’s not fireworks everyday, he’s right!!! Cuz I’m also going through about 3 years of dilemma, I started my career break at 37+, I’m almost 40 now, this longggg search has been challenging, so his words of wisdom definitely got me thinking… maybe I should “let go…… stay afloat… let natures take its course”!
Perhaps Tommy beautifully told story can be made a book or short animation, for human to come back to their nature and it’s ok
I knew about Tommy Le Baker through an interview by Star Paper many years ago. Tommy is so passionate about making great buns. He has a lovely bubbly personality ❤ I have been following his Facebook post since. I truly hope to try his bakeries one day. Hope he'll consider opening a branch here in Ipoh 😊
I like this experimental 'foodspire' food + inspire episode and it is interesting to see new interesting personality. Look forward to see your next fireworks and the different shapes and colours it will create.
Inspiring and touching indeed. An interesting interview with more from you guys in future? 👍🏼
Good one…perhaps you can also try to interview Chef Wan
Very inspiring.. truly enjoy the part when Tommy mentioned there’s another side of him inside that scold himself in another language..
The way tommy tell his story about the wave etc i hope someone will make animation. He so creative person
I love this new video! Inspiring story from Tommy and it spark my mind! Looking forward Jimmy & iChang keep inspired by people in Malaysia ❤
wah... Malaysia got such interesting bakery shop...
One of the most Inspiring m motivating words from Tommy, and thank you Ichang n Tommy my favourite TH-camr , you both do make a difference in our lives 🙌🙏🏻👍🏻💛
TOMMY is non-muslim, hope his shop have HALAL cerificate...🥰🥰🥰
Thank you all for sharing
1. Haha so now you’re both… seriously hamsap? 😂 (for food)
2. I haven’t been to Tommy Le Baker for a while but have always loved his bubbly-ness. Glad he is doing ok. The beach analogy is so expressive it’s so relatable. Yes we all need to hit pause at times and notice sometimes it’s ok if we’re not shining all the time. Cuz just because you’re not shining doesn’t mean you’re not a star anymore.
3. Towards the end tho I was distracted by the fact that he got tanned over the process of “resting at the beach for quite some time”.
4. It’s nice to watch positive and motivational videos with a spin of mentioning food our fellow Malaysian has brought back to homeland + localised. To me it also boosts us learning more about another country’s culture and that’s really meaningful.
5. Whether or not you can continue a series with this concept, it doesn’t matter. Thank you for always putting sincerity in your content ^^, and thank you for appreciating the culture here in Malaysia, I-Chang and Jimmy! ❤
His bakery always hard to access. Probably rental issues. But have been supporting him from day 1
Yummy breads & pastries Tommy Baker. Used to patronize his cafe at Viva Residency.
Sukses selalu ichang Rm... mantap 👍
Thank you so much abang SAB☺️🙏🏻
That statement "is it ok not to know about your homeland" from Mahathir to Tommy is rich considering he call Chinese Malaysian "pendatang" or "foreign immigrant" instead of citizen of Msia. He can't wait to shoo the Chinese off. Wonder why he didn't encourage Tommy to stay in France.
Thanks
Thank you❤
"So I can scold myself in another language" - so funny. Great episode
Hi, just want to put a suggestion for you to visit Pulau Ketam at Port Klang...it is quite an interesting island to visit..😊
It's all in the mind. So glad he made it out of the mental storm. 🙏
Dijon mustard is…..sour? Omg
Love this content. So inspiring.
Mr Tommy lived in France and open bakery in his hometown, maybe oneday Jimmy & Ichang open restaurant with Malaysian dishes in their hometown?
Cara ckp dah mcm chef wan😅
Excelkent video 👍
Musim makan durian dah tiba
Truly inspiring conversation with Tommy.
Terbaik ichang Jimmy 🌹❤️💙😊🤝
geng chef wan ni
❤❤❤❤❤
Currently staying in Europe for the past 26 years, i have to say local Malaysian bakeries are the best especially pastries...hahah.. kaya puffs, egg tarts are almost impossible to find, variation among European bakers are very minimal...10 bakers 9 would probably sell the same thing...
It might be unique for Malaysians but for those that live long enough overseas...i just need the Hainan Toast not sourdough croissants...
But keep up the good video, it just give me reminiscence of Malaysia, have not been back for the past 4 years...
Awesome!! Thank you ichang & Jimmy for putting together a great piece to show us another of our culinary nouveau culture. 😊
the test that he had to endure........ no more sampan, don't care about the shore... zombie time.... now he is isekaied... wish you a happy life uncle, and you guys too.
Not every day is Saturday and Sunday. So go through all the days till Saturday and Sunday to enjoy our off day from our daily busy tasks.
