Difficult to monetize from TH-cam, Tik Tok, Reels alone unless you have 1 million, 10 million, 100 million or 1 billion views. Most TH-camrs do it part time and will quit their full-time job when TH-cam earning exceed full-time salary. Full-time TH-camrs have many stream of income like product advertisement, commission from product advertisement, product endorsement etc. The best is if you’re already a celebrity, you get to advertise your own products for free. You’ll likely succeed to be millionaire. TH-cam is also popular among retired people who have some money and do it just to fill up their free time.

Have you guys tried to approach Tourism Malaysia about “employing” you to promote Malaysia? A casual ‘contract’. Tell them they don’t even have to pay you (if you can afford that) 😅 You have brought us to so many places in Malaysia that even Malaysians are not aware of. You reach so many people that the guys in the Tourism office can’t.

1. Keep building your Japanese-in-Malaysia content, but maybe split it into different parts like food, culture, festivals, and activities. 2. Try selling some online products too-it could be a good side thing. 3. Think about working or starting a tourism biz here-lots of cool things happening in Malaysia. 4. Boost your branding for Ichang & Jimmy, make it stand out more. 5. Chat with other foreign creators in Malaysia, like Saira Haryati, for advice or collabs. 6. Enjoy life here-keep exploring and doing more fun activities while diving into tourism stuff. Sounds good?
If I am not mistaken, Jimmy was an aircrew before. Maybe Jimmy can apply for work as an aircrew on Air Asia perhaps, or any other Malaysian airline, so that you may get a long work visa
I would suggest both of you to explore state by state in Malaysia not just for TH-cam but for your own understanding of Malaysia culture in depth. Also even different races in each state has it's unique culture. So may be explore more of other races cultures too. Just a suggestion for your future venture. For whatever reason relationship and family come first. All the best.
Take it to the next level. Form a team. Get a video editor. Find a content creation research team, to come up with years worth of contents to do. Doing this with 2 people is tough. Try doing it with a proper team. Delegate certain tasks to others. You guys can grow bigger!

Also can send some buka puasa food to local mosques etc and buka puasa with Malaysian friends/fans. Maybe one day you can publish a Malaysian cookbook with dual language English and Japanese plus an app. And come up with halal Japanese sauce or something to sell in Malaysia. P/S: that's how Khairul Aming got famous ... Recipes for Ramadan.
oh ya… may I suggest that you guys reorganize all the awesome videos into their respective “Playlist by State Visited” (for example Kedah, Kelantan, Penang and so on) and each video title has the date visited to sort the playlist accordingly?
Maybe open a travel company? Bring japanese to malaysia or bring malaysian to japan? Since you know whats halal and what not, catering to trips that curated to malaysians need. Like ni need to be there. Like a few place to visit, few restaurant in each place, etc. Some people dont like tour guide during trips. But having a planned itinerary provider could be a good service, like having their hotel/flight ticket booked, itinerary planned, etc.
