- This was filmed about 30 minutes after the tunnel opened. Pretty cool to see some new road infrastructure being built in Sydney. The last major urban road built in Sydney was the Lane Cove Tunnel 12 years ago.

Thank you so very much for posting this! I wanted to get over there in time for the opening, but it's just not feasible at this time to catch a plane out of San Francisco. I'll probably see the tunnel for myself later this year. Sydney really needed this. No more having to sit in ridiculous traffic on Parramatta Road, on my way to the Anzac Bridge and the various districts of Sydney's inner west. Those 6 narrow lanes, barely wide enough to accommodate the thousands of lorries are something I'm not going to miss either (Parramatta Road). Cheers!
Drove through yesterday after not driving in Sydney for a million years thought this is new tunnely thing. Got to the centre really quickly.

How do you manage to get all the road signs
Awesome video dude, I made one but I dont think mine is as good as yours. What kind of dash cam did you use? I used a Go Pro5.
Can someone PLEASE help me out. If I am travelling east like in this video and I want to NOT take the tunnel but want to go the old way of joining Parramatta Rd at Strathfield do I take the A44 exit to the left at 1.50? Also if heading west and again not using the tunnel, once turning right from Parramatta Rd on to the M4 does the toll start immediately? It didn't used to start until just before James Ruse drive. Thanks!
A special thanks to all the people that have worked and are working on building Sydneys tunnels. They will all be dead in 30 years.

@@HenrysAviation shale and sand stone drilling is very bad for the lungs when you consider they were only wearing low budget dust masks. They should have been wearing full face masks with particle filters.

theres always a speed camera at the end of the tunnel

I would say no, I've definitely done over 60 in those sections and haven't received a fine yet. In tunnels, speed cameras are always located in a place where there's an electronic speed limit sign, induction loop in the roadway and they are never placed on exit ramps (which the 60 zone will be in 3 years). I would wager it's somewhere between the Concord road ramp and the wattle St exit.

yes confusing line markings there at the end. clearly didn't get it right. an overhead gantry where each lane goes would be much better but sydney is a bit behind in terms of this compared to melbourne
