1.) Under cut Trim
-Leave hair dry
-Use the clippers and work my way down the grades
-Clean up with the scissors
2.) Rinse Hair with Conditioner
-Sometimes I’ll try cut the top for a quick trim
-But today I want to give more refinement to the cut so getting it wet
3.) Trim hair
-Brush hair out
-Trim with scissors
4.) Wash hair
5.) Add Volume
-Using Klorane
6.) Dry Hair
-Most times will let air dry because I like the natural way it lays, gives more to work with
-Use blow dryer when want a specific look or to tone down natural swirls and cowlicks
7.) Straighten edges
-Gives more edgy lines
8.) Add texture
-Usually use EVO’s Haze for volume and texture, but fresh out. Also love because it makes clean hair look dirty (in a good way)

I had a great stylist for over 10 years. I moved to a different country and struggled to find a stylist who could cut my pixie like I liked it. I started the pandemic with a short bob with blonde highlights. I was trimming it, then got bold and kept cutting my hair super short! I kept it that way by myself with one hairdresser visit in August when salons briefly opened. I’m not rocking my natural salt and pepper hair color and keeping it short! I wish I’d found this video sooner - I love your confidence! Your hair looks wonderful!

When “What Not To Wear” first came out, women had a fit about stylists cutting their hair. I could never understand it. They had excellent people helping make them look good, and they were nominated because they were a mess, and if you don’t like it, it will always grow out!

Pixie cut for years, cut it myself…. Top tip I use dress making pinking shears which mean I never get choppy straight line track lines!

Love this!! People always get embarrassed in my chair when they have done some self cutting. To be truthful most of them are not too bad. If it looks good and styles good...it gets you by until you can get into the salon, what's the big deal!?! These are excellent tips for keeping up with short hair! One thing, if you feel like you still have lines in between guards, use the extender arm on the side. It brings the length in between the 2 guard lengths. 😘

Been waiting for this one! Great to see that I'm not alone in avoiding the hair salons still. My family had a real laugh when I shaved my head because I couldn't take how over-grown my pixie was and I couldn't get it cut. This video will be great for once my buzzcut grows, thank you :)

I did the same thing. I was letting the grey come in! I never thought I would do that even though I’m 64 and love a nice haircut/colour. I took the clippers and cut short and now I use a razor cutting tool to take weight out and add layers . I love my grey hair. Looks great Love video 🤗🦋

I followed your instructions to use the clipper along the ears and the hairline and it works like a magic trick 😄 I went for a different style so I kept the 1" guard on the clipper, but the result is good anyway and it's so easy! Thanks for the advice, I will pin the video in a playlist so I always have a reference 😉

Welcome to the club. My husband has been cutting my hair for me since we first met. He gives my two teen boys their haircuts every three weeks and I take a seat on the stool every couple months to get mine trimmed. It is definitely a great money saver. He has gotten a lot of experience, I get compliments on my hair and asked where I take my boys for their haircuts. My mom and best friend both have him cut their hair as they like his work and free haircuts.

I got a bob cut in September with a quarter pixie (from waist length hair). I’m growing out the pixie because I’m not as confident with a razor, so I parted my hair differently. Next haircut for me is definitely going to involve an undercut, my hair is ridiculously thick and has a bit too much volume for my liking. Full pixie is definitely on my bucket list, but I think I’m going to wait until there’s no chance of salons closing because I love the juxtaposition of a masculine haircut with a pastel dye, maybe a more “sorbet” tone if their still trendy in a year or so.
Love those hair colors. And yes, I love having the undercut, don't think I could go with out a trimmed down undercut now.

I’m late to this video, but you did a great job! I cut my hair super short like this once but it didn’t work for me. My hair is extremely thick so it literally just stuck straight up and was too masculine. It looks so good on you! I wish I could wear this.

W/ makeup too (oh yeah, I watched that one too!) I have never even used a contour but hmmmm…, may try. Uh huh, I know all about over plucked brows that don’t grow back. I naturally had dark, thicker, Ali McGraw brows, now .., well, thks. To over plucking they r not like that now. I like the way u do your eyes & May try liner similar. Now, hair. I too have a pixie but where yours is coarser stands & thicker, mine is baby fine & silky. Just lately have shown Pinterest photos to my stylist for more of a bowl pixie, simply because my hair looks BETTER w/ the thicker(ness) (new word) of bowl cut & not the chipped into layers of pixie (scalp tends to show) love your jeans, blazers, shoes, socks, stripped tees… I’ll buy highly quality unique leather shorter boots/ booties- that my friends wouldn’t be caught dead in… but- that’s my style. Keep the range of videos coming!

Invest in some thinning shears. They are game changers for texturizing! Start about 1.5 inches from the tip, cut, then move toward the ends, cut again. You'll love what they do for the piecey look!

This is the best self clipping vid I've ever seen on this. I have the tools ...but am apprehensive using them. I choose to spend money on my dog's cuts n grooming services. I think I should be able to manage my short pixie cut. Often enough the hairdressers seem to not really "get" me anyway so j must learn to do it myself . Ty!

I have been cutting my own hair into a shlob….a shaggy bob….for years. Recently went pixie and absolutely love it. Thanks for the tips. It’ll always grow back….famous last words, eh? My hairdresser/barber died before the pandemic. She was the best…miss her and my mechanic who also died earlier this year. Who’s next? My dentist? Took decades to find those I could trust.

I love Pixie cuts, back in the late '60's I had a Sassoon cut. I loved it. Alas, my hair is thin and very fine so no more pixie cuts for me!

Yes, that's amazing!! I trim mine up every 2-3 weeks. But that's cuz I loooove my undercut to be super short.
I use the right and left taper learn from a you tube as well. Does not look masculine. Thanks for sharing I learned some tips
