  • This walk takes in the three Munros around Coir a' Ghrunnda starting with Sgurr nan Ear, Sgurr Dubh Mor and finally Sgurr Alasdair. A super weather day to end our Skye walking week.
    A big thanks to Pete Hodge, our guide for the day, who looked after us extremely well. Pete is part of the team at www.skyeguides.co.uk/

Sgurr nan Eag, Sgurr Dubh Mor, Sgurr Alasdair and Sgùrr Deargare are the most beautiful peaks of Black Cullin. You've got them all. When I was in the Sky Island, I particularly yearned for these scenic spots, but due to traffic and technical reasons, I did not realize my wish. It's been a great pleasure watching your video, thank you very much!

      Hi DeeKay, No, I just backed up the files and waited until I was home. I had planned for the movies to be short and not bore the viewers. Also, a bit limited when travelling with a guide. Cheers, Charlie

    Fabulous video! You’ve a good head for heights, Charlie! Did you climb Sgurr na Banachdich on this trip? I did it some years ago, but the top was in the cloud so I missed the views, and the sense of exposure.

      Hi jakollee, No, we didn't get onto Banachdich this time as we focused on get the ones needed to complete another round. We've had stunning views from it on previous visits. Cheers, Charlie.

    Love watching these mini vids of your Skye adventure Charlie, mines are a lot longer 🤣🤣
    Great seeing the routes you guys take and thinking I was there a day or 2 ago or somewhere else on the ridge. Quick question Charlie, I take it the guide left it up to you regarding being unroped on the ridges.?
    Our guide kept us leashed up all the time high up.?
    BTW, I loved coming down the great stone chute from Sgurr Alasdair.👍

    • @charliemccartney7055
      @charliemccartney7055  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Frank, I thought these snippets were a better idea for the viewer with the consecutive walking days? The guide controls the day and he makes an assessment on ability through discussions on watching individuals moving across the rock. They will obviously take no chances with inexperienced or first timers. A lot of the time the rope is only a confidence booster and its easier for the guide if it's a 2:1 as against 3:1 in the group. I'll look forward to your uploads. Cheers, Charlie

    Brilliant gents, absolutely fantastic. Me and Dad never made it up to and of the summits when we were there last year but we made it to Coire Lagan, and have to admit, it’s the best place I’ve ever had eaten my butties! 😀🥾⛰🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
