    I can confirm that, at least on the Parliament, it is the Units who look at the CVs and letters, not HR
    Good luck everyone 😉

      Hi Coral and Magda!
      Thank you both for the insight.
      As i am applying for the EPRS, precisely the Economics and Next Generation EU units, you would advice me to write to the specific head of the sub unit and not the Trainee outreach Recruitment Unit ?

    Hello!! Would you do a video on how to do all those things having no experience at all? I'm finding it very difficult to get noticed because although i have a very notable education, my experience is kind of reduced and also the pandemic didn't help. It'd be very very useful for a lot of people i think, you seem really prepared. Thanks in advance!!

    Hi Magda! Fantastic video as always :) Was wondering.. here you stated to tailor one's CV accordingly and not make it too long but since they only accept Europass.. somehow the formatting sort of conditions everything to not be very space-efficient, hence requiring more amount of pages.. now im unsure if I should submit it Europass or just the usual ATS-friendly format. Any advice? Thanks!!

    • @ByMagdaYT
      @ByMagdaYT  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Use Europass for sure because that's the only one the accept, if you have so much to say just add additional page but keep the most valuable stuff on first page 😌

    Hello Magda! Your video is very useful but I have a question to you. You said that if the job is, for example, in german language, the motivation letter should be in german. But what about CV? Should it be in german too? Or english could be enough? Thank you!

    • @ByMagdaYT

      I would say also in German mostly to the translation unit - they will see it so they will all understand it anyways 😊

    Hey, I am applying in the same two units but for Post A and Post B. Do I still have to change my motivation letter for each of them? Also the third position that I am applying to is also really similar and matches the motivation letter perfectly. I feel stressed that because they will receive identical motivation letter, they will disqualify me.

    • @ByMagdaYT
      @ByMagdaYT  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello! Thanks for your comment 🥰 I just asked my friends and they said that Post A and B means basically that there will be two trainees in the same unit (team), which already may be not the best idea to do (you kinda loose one spot of application out of three because you apply for exactly the same job twice), then if the other unit has very similar requirements you may leave your letter the same but be sure that it's not generic for both of the posts - make it as detailed and suitable for the job post as possible and be sure you write it yourself not generic google sentences 😌 I hope it helps and good luck 🤞

    Hello and thank you for the very informative video. Do you have any advice for the CV, like for instance that it shouldn't be longer than 2 pages or something? And also about the motivation letter. Are there any formalities like margin, font and font size?

    • @ByMagdaYT
      @ByMagdaYT  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hello, I recommend to change your CV depending on the job post so it's tailored and also don't put unnecessary info like idk your high school if you already have a uni degree or that you worked in the bar when you were young if you had already few years of finance experience applying for finance position, I know people enjoy bullet points instead of text and for motivation later make it personal so they don't think you sent this letter to 10 companies but to them. But I'm not an expert 🙈 aaa also remember to put key words from the job post many times in CV so for example they say you need to know excel and python put it at least 3-5 times in your CV in different sections (for example in skills, in your reposnibilies at previous job, as part of uni courses or that you used it in a project or thesis) because then they search based on key words sometimes 🙈

      @user-ug9yb1qu8v ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ByMagdaYT thank you very much for your answer! So do you suggest using the space for details in the europass template and not just mentioning the facts, am I right? For example not just writing in the CV that you have got your Bachelor’s degree in the field x/y but also stating what skill you have aquired during your studies that matches the offer’s key words?

    • @ByMagdaYT
      @ByMagdaYT  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@user-ug9yb1qu8v I've been told that europass CVs are not ideal just used word I would say. About bachelor yes put it as well as it's your uni degree just don't put your whole life story if it's unrelated if for example you study languages and your high school had special languages program its worth mentioning but if you studied finance and your high school it's just another info it doesn't makes sense to put it there or if you have two unrelated degrees maybe one of them doesn't make sense to be mentioned, idk if it's clear now?
