The Viper is one of the best cars in the game for its acceleration. It can beat Darius in the canyon easier than most cars can.

It works with any car but on different areas.
For Tuners there is a long corner where is too close to the inside of the corner and you can easily overtake him on the outside of the corner.(Proved with Subaru Impreza)
For Muscles at the very beginning or anywhere you get the chance.(Highly modified Camaro SS with Tier 3 performance parts from different cars,pretty much a jack of all trades)
For Exotics...well,I didn't manage to overtake him but got to the end of the race on the second stage with around 1000 points.If you get 120,000 and above on the first stage of the canyon it is great.

i'd say stick with the Viper actually, Wolf just happens to be the hardest of Darius's crew ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so don't let it discourage you, upgrade your Viper and do some other races and beat the other two, then you should be able to come back to Wolf and beat him
or if you're really not confident enough then buy a Corvette or something lol, the Corvette is OP in this game
actually, Wolf is the easiest one, he was the only one who I was able to beat by passing him instead of doing 2nd run with my RX-7
Wolf is most easy with his semi truck turning ratio, 90hp DB9. Kenji holds it down the best he can, and Angie is driving up your ass with that hemi or 440, but is no match for the little '67 camaro. But if you win the 69 Charger, it'll last around 70% of the tracks in career until you start getting smoked by the Z06. Then you gotta get a Z06 or Viper.
And you never beat wolf with the Viper. Viper is unlocked when you get to Darius' territory. Beat wolf with the nimble Camaro or Charger easy.

Kenji is the hardest one for me, the race is easy but on the canyon I had to slow him down

Theo you get the Speed boost when you end the draft. The longer you follow the blue trail the faster the boost, try to end drafts before speed traps.

I think replacing the Viper is a TERRIBLE idea. Why sell a car that goes 240+ (when tuned correctly) for a car that only goes 2-6 mph faster. (depending you have standard tune or tune according to my instructions). Instructions: Tune the Engine, Transmission, and Turbo/Supercharger all 3 tunes to right hand side. you will get a drastic top speed boost. (varies depending car and class) 3 Examples are: Nissan 350Z (from
@Luis69 It's extremely simple, you just need to tune 3 parts (BTW: there is cheat codes that will be very helpful as well) All you need to do is tune your Engine transmission and Turbo/Supercharger to Horsepower, Top Speed, and High RPM. Doing that gives you a 30+mph improvement from stock tune (putting the part on, but leaving it in the middle in terms of tuning the upgrades). I beat 3/4 of the game with a Mazda RX-8 and Kenji's Mazda RX-7. The only car I ended up purchasing from the car lot was a Nissan 350Z. I just max tuned the RX-7 temporarily to get all the Race package upgrades.

Wolf will crash in the Canyon Duel in the last corner either follow him or leading him. Beat Kenji to get the Lan Evo 9 MR, because that car is OP on the Canyon Duel.

I remember beating Darius on Canyon with a stock Dodge Challenger, but it was years ago. I bet I could do that again when I get use to the handling model again. Believe me, a MUSCLE car is one of the best if not the best choice in the end game.

VIPER ain't a waste. In tier 3 muscles corvette and viper are the fastest. And that viper has a lot acceleration. And u struggled because u kept ur tires on Grip. Just keep it at middle. Then you'll have grip and drift both.

Hm... the easiest time I had with this game was when I had either the Viper or the Corvette. Overtaking in the Canyons was too easy. Of course, I did tune their performance. Each reached a top speed of 400km/h and steered like a Les Mans GT car.
I remember i had a last boss fight with darius on a Viper, i thought (oh cool , i will win this one easy), but then my car started to slide and it did not had a proper grip.Somehow i got to the canyon and this is where i restarted the whole campaign, and bought Corvette,which was op af :)

Idk if you will read this theo but the secret to turning with a viper is throttle control,if your heading for a wall while steering the opposite direction then simply let off the gas turn the other way and as soon as the car is straight press the gas while steering the way you want to go and turning is abit easier for the viper or any overpowered muscle car in this game
Now you know how I felt when I bought the C6 Corvette to race Darius. Handling was crazy difficult.
Tune it properly and learn how to drive the car. If you do it right (Handling won't be even an issue), then you beat Darius easily. In fact in the Corvette I had a pretty easy time back in the day. (It's been a while that I played NFS Carbon.)
How drafting works:
1) activate a drafter
2) slipstream him/her
3) cancel it and get slingshot to the moon
U haven’t done a mistake, Wolf is a tough oponent when using the Murciélago in the canyon. I recommend fully upgrading this car to then challenge him.
You race wolf before unlocking any tier 3 cars
+Blackpanthaa ur using Drafter partly right, u dont hold it there the whole time, u use drafter for a bit press the button to deactivate it which will slingshot u ahead at a way higher speed when ur on a straight road or when u need it the most, dont drain it like u did here cuz then that wouldn't help u at all, also the best way to beat Darius is by using a Tuner or a Muscle car, due to better acceleration for Muscle cars & better handling for Tuners. just some helpful tips for u mate 👍🏽 awesome vid by the way

Just realizing how bad the ps2 version is. I always knew they didn't add in all the cutscenes but now I'm noticing that they made the races have only 2-3 opponents instead of 6 wtf.

I can’t remember this game that much but took me forever to progress. I used my RX8 until about 50% and that’s when got pissed with the game. NFSU1 and NFSU2 will always be the best ones imo besides my young childhood days of NFS 3 Hot Pursuit and the one after that
You should try the scout... they are lowkey OP as hell.... it’s like carbon gave them extra speed
Grip the tires when you upgrade the suspension, that's what I do and it dominated.
I remember getting to the last canyon race with the Shelby GT500 fully customized and failing everytime, then switch to an almost stock Supra and winning in the first try. That moment I learned to never marry with a single car class.
Theo did you know that different areas of the crew territorys give you different cars. In Darius territory check the different areas information, and they tell you what car you unlock. The viper and corvette are one of the worst cars in his territory. And also before you start a race it even says on the race info what you unlock. I know this because I have played this game through 7 times. My weapon of choice have always been either skyline or gallardo. But keep up the good work. Love your content!

Try to speedbreak in pursuit cinematic, some times after the cinematic, a roadblock will show in front of you with spikes
I recommend waiting til you get the Evo because it's just the best overall car in the game

You still use Tier 2 at the Beginning into Silverton,until you bought Viper. Muscle Cars so Weak for Handling because Acceleration

Im no expert but im pretty sure for the drafting PU to give effect you have to 1st tap the button for it 2nd drive behind the ford gt 3rd click the button again and then you'll get a boost o_O

The Subaru finishes the race in the first stage of the canyon,there is a corner where Darius brakes a lot and you can overtake him on the outside.
With the Gallardo you need to get as close as possible to him and get as many points you can.Because you can't overtake him in that corner in the Gallardo.
You'll get to the finish line with around 957 points.

You conquered Canmor and got the Vette, when i conquered it, the R34 was what i got instead.

Okay i will give you the perfect set up with the viper. Engine and Supercharger you put the first thing to the left and keep the other 2 in the middle.
Transmission and Nos all 3 on the left.
Suspension and tires all 3 on the middle.
Brakes all 3 setted on the back wheels.
If you drive stock ore fully upgraded work on cornering with handbrake more then brake and on Canyon races you need to handbrake and braking on engine. Braking on engine is before the corner,let the accelerate button go and take the fully corner. You need to drive on feeling with the Viper to put it on his limits

1.)Nissan 240SX(unlock via challenge series start the game with it all the way to the end this is the vest car in game by far)
2.)Mitsubushi evo 9(crazy good handling but only use this if your very skilled in cornering and braking)
3.)Corvette Z06(second fastest acceleration in game and if you tune the tires and suspension a lil bit away from drifting the car handles very well and the power means you absolutely run away from anything)
Don't worry when you upgrade it it'll be a beast
The murcielago weakness is the Z06
And that car is the fastest accelerating muscle car in the game
350z is very good during the canyon run with the 3 shlumps
Use the slowmotion buttun.
Then you can take corners at full speed.
downloaded Carbon today at 4 PM and started playing from start to finnish... took me 7 hours so... i was done somewhere at 10PM XD

Only mod you got on the viper is tires and with that grip tune you’re obviously gonna get understeer
the viper isn’t bad you just have to start steering way before you reach the apex and you instantly become a drift god

the viper has a meta tune m8 and it requires skill, muscle is the hardest to beat, at the same time i havent found a car that can pass and beat Darius at the very beginning, try this leave tires in mid suspension 1 3 1 if you really want tires do a 1 and nos always 1 1 1
