- Following my plan of making multiple cars for different setups, today I attempted to make a drift car... well... that went well!

Samson is the best blocker, but you have to be in front of the competition for him to work properly. He was meant to BLOCK the competition from overtaking you when you're in first place.

@@kurumafaasutogt9860 Yes it is. Better than MC LA at least. I've beaten MC3 several times but I could never force myself to beat LA because it was boring. The world was cool but the car customisation was lacklustre at best.

Theo if you want a partner that is always ahead and at the front of the pack, then SAL (SCOUT) is the best, they are ALWAYS, ahead and are unbelievably fast because they use every shortcut. The best SCOUT who you already have (Sal) who you've yet to use. (TRUST ME, SAL IS THE BEST CREW MEMBER) You're going to need a good crew member to take on Stacked Deck!

The RX7 is actually a great car. I started with a tuner, won Kenji's RX7 and i used it all the way to Angie and Kenji's second canyons, after Darius hook'd em up with their new cars. I had to get the Evo to beat Wolf's Murcielago but i was *incredibly* close everytime to beat Wolf too. It just didn't happen. Maybe i can't drive good enough but i was very close.
All im saying is that you can get to Darius with this car but not sure if you can beat him with it.

@@tommyl3996 I doubt it. His car is faster and pulls away much faster in corners. I tried racing him with the RX7 before i swiched to the Evo and he was catching up at ever corner exit and also his top speed was higher and in straight line he would just catch up on me and pass.
@@Skelterification There is a video on how to beat him with a stock rx8. You can't beat him "fairly", but it's about the points. Search it on yt.
You can just buy a corvette/viper and pass Darius on the first corner

oversteer and understeer are mislabelled, put it max to the right for max oversteer and max to the left for max understeer

Can i ask a question? If i can put it oversteer and a bit understeer wouldn't it be better at handling? Because as i know oversteer is better than understeer as long you don't steer too much, i don't really know alot about cars but thats what i actually know.

the way carbon works, with exotics like the gallardo elise and murcielago everything to the right is the best bet, with tuners you can just keep it in the middle, and with muscles you should leave it in the middle aswell, else youll slide around like crazy, altho theres some exceptions like the eclipse and speed3, rly you just have to mess around with the settings until you find smth that works

scrap Samson. Get Yumi or Sal. Scouts usually win races for you.

Love the mad science idea Theo, but your problem is: Samson is only good if you start with Muscle and are using Muscle through the "entire game", otherwise here are my recommendations for crew members: Neville (Under condition which you don't start with muscle), or Colin is a really good crew to have as well for Sprint/Speedtrap races (Which you unlock after next boss, which is Wolf)otherwise if you DO start with Muscle I'd say for your blocker it's kind of a tossup, but either Colin or Sal is a good option if you prefer help in front of you vs. a blocker who gets behind you. (Pro-tip: For Darius, You can get away with a Tier 2 until you hit the Stacked Deck Boss race) I have a tune that can help you get away with using Tier 2 until that point though. (Simply adjust the following 3 parts all the way to the right hand side: Engine, Transmission, Turbo/Supercharger) otherwise for cars to use for the boss race, I primarily recommend the Ford GT if you want a fake muscle car, but if you something in the Muscle class I recommend the Corvette ZO6, or Dodge Viper. I mean the Corvette and Viper hit around 250MPH with this tune, but the Ford GT can hit 280MPH odd (Speeds are Imperial). I hope my recommendations and/or advice helps for when you challenge Wolf and/or Darius.
Carbon Cars are set as Exotics, Muscle & tuner. Exotic is for drifting, Muscle for speed and Tuners are balanced.
Yo Theo, upgrade Samson's car in the Crew menu. Put the best performance parts on him and... Make his car look horrible due to the pain he caused you throughout this series

Theo, oversteer is for "grip" and understeer is for "slide-drift" in this game.......I found that 2 years ago when I did the same thing with the tuning.

The sliders for oversteer/understeer are actually backwards in this game. It sounds crazy but understeer is actually oversteer and vice versa.
Nfs the run also had a amazing soundtrack when racing always felt like i was edge every race
Try the BMW M4 GTS on Payback, I had one with level 18 Chidori cards only. I was scoring anything between 850K-1.4mil in the drift events.
Yumi is actually really good at winning the race and I find scout(her mostly) really useful

When tuning for a drift car just set the tires to drift and tune the transmission and engine to get more acceleration, just keep suspension and braking in the middle.

I was playing carbon before 1 hour and i was driving this RX7 fully upgraded, damn its really fast, i actually had alot of fun driving a Mazda never thought i would have fun driving a Mazda, i used to like the RX8 more than the RX7 but now its different.

Try the corvette for drift, leave all the tuning in the middle and only put the tires towards drift , I always use to score 500,000+ points in drift events with that

@@Supreme_King23 yes... as much as i love the supra, i was disappointed that i did actually better with the evo (stock) rather than a tuned supra... it s slow due to it s burnouts and not grippy tires!
As I remember, for me Nikki was the best in terms of buddy, but obviously you cant have her yet, so I recommend hiring an other slipstreamer, or whatever they called.
When you select a race look what you unlock sometimes you miss on the important parts

I think ghost needs to remaster nfs carbon but with diffrent story someting like what happened before the race where you run away with supra, that coud be really interesting to see and it may be one of the best nfs's
Just as a fun fact :
I rarely ever use the blockers just because of how slow they can sometimes be, that's why I choose scouts as my active crew member in races just to turn them off and let them win the race for me...
Maybe they're not as effective for you because of the fact that you haven't even messed with their car's performance yet. Try to do it for the next episode...
...also it doesn't cost anything to upgrade your crew's cars...
Oh yeah just as a tip :
If the camera zooms in on your car up close from a dramatic angle it means you've won the race..
If it zooms in from a far and with the back of your car facing it, it means you've lost...

"It's still gripping!" - well yes Theo it's a Tuner mate. This is when cars actually effected how you drive. Not brake to drift across every vehicle in the game (cough cough payback)
I know I am 2 yrs late but.. yeah.. you should had set the suspenstion torwards understeer not oversteer if you really want to drift on all races, besides that you got everything else pretty much right on the settings XD
