- Watch the Jabulani elephant herd heading home to the homestead at sunset and stopping by the dam for a drink and in the case of some elephants, a swim or saunter in the refreshing water! Khanyisa leads the herd, with Timisa and Pisa right behind her - all the youngsters together and up front!
Sebakwe is at the back and we walk home with him as the sun sets all around us. Sebakwe is so grand and statuesque in his gait and shows us that strong presence he’s known for.

My heartfelt thanks to HERD for taking me to a world of beauty that I will never see. I never tire of the elephants, although Fishan is my favorite generally. The horizons in your videos astound me, your videos make me aware that the land is full of living creatures. I never tire of seeing the carers walking confidently with the elephants. Living in a city where there is no darkness, lights often obscure the night sky, with people casting trash from car windows, and there is always noise. Once, staying with my cousin in deep country I opened the door at night and was confounded by the darkness. I asked if it was dangerous to go out. His reply was, "More from falling into a hole, than any creature." There were two large herding type dogs that were content to stay close to the house or indoors, unless threatened, which would more likely be a human than an animal

If I may ask, since he is so gentle with the Herd and is easy to get along with, does he also get along with Jabulani and Fishon? So peaceful. Little Khanyisa leading her herd to water, so sweet. Then I felt like I was walking right beside the magnificent Sebakwe. Beautiful.
I watch every day and love everything about HERD, the elephants, Adine, the carers, the orphans, how it is all shared with us in a way brings us in so intimately.
My pet peeve is the Jabulani logo with the severed tusks - please retire that aspect of the logo or at least keep it off these videos which have so many many views around the world. I love the HERD logo variation with the mama and baby elephant. The severed ivory is antithetical to everything HERD is about. The mama/baby logo is So much more suited to the ethos of this most wonderful generational devotion to these wonders of nature that need our protection. Severed tusks mean a dead elephant and most often a violent death by human hands. The image, though iconic, family legacy, acceptable all those years ago, etc is a visual symbol of the value of ivory detached from the animal. Just a plea from the peanut gallery.
